STORY SO FAR...
There is a history of games. Game history in interwoven with human history, starting in the Egyptian Empire five thousand years ago. Ancient games foretold the future for citizens and kings. As games were played, fate was decided in magical ceremonies. These were called "the Shadow Games."

One boy unleashed this power when he solved the Millennium Puzzle. His wish was granted and together with his friends he faced many dark forces trying to abuse the power. Early on they faced the dark powers of Zorc only to face him again later in a much larger and more dangerous battle.

They succeeded and filled the world with light once more...
...but on the other side of every object there are shadows.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Far away across the desert from Aekea lies Die City; the gaming capital of Gaia. From a distance the city looks like a mountain but as you get closer you see it is a collection of skyscrapers, getting taller as you get closer to the centre. The very centre building is by far the largest, rising above all the rest in the shape of a Blue-Eyes White Dragon; Blue-Eyes Towers.
Blue-Eyes Towers in the base for the Kaiba Cooperation and the largest duelling arena in the world. The current Kaiba, Joey Kaiba, moved his company here years ago and soon after made it the duelling capital of the world. Everyone lives in peace and happiness duelling to their hearts content...
...until the storm arrived.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"...and I end with that, your move."
"I draw and tribute Gravekeeper's Spear Soldier to summon Gravekeeper's Visionary."
A monster explodes into dust and is suddenly replaced by a larger version on a throne and with a staff. The two duellists watch each other, down to their last few life points in this duel atop the Blue-Eyes Tower. The rain pours down, hitting the glass roof above them, flashes of light can be seen in the distance.
"Gravekeeper's V..."
A crashing sounds echoes through the building as lighting hits the tower and cuts off the power. Within moments the generators start back up and the duel resumes.
"Gravekeeper's Visionary attack his Il Blud for game!"
"Not so fast, I activate Dimensional Prision to remove your Visionary!"
The trap flips up and a vortex appears before the monster but suddenly it vanishes before it enters the vortex.
"I'll tribute Visionary then for my Quick-Play Spell: Magical Dimension. I tribute Visionary to bring out Gravekeeper's Assailant and destroy Il Blud."
The Assailant appears and lands ready for attack out of the magical box just before another appears around the Il Blud and crushes it.
"Assailant, finish the game!"
Gravekeeper's Assailant leaps towards him and thrusts his dagger into the shoulder of the opponent, blood gushing from the wound. The dagger is slowly pulled out as blood drips from it before the monster vanishes as the duel ends.
A moment of awkward silence passes as the duellists look at the blood stains and the wound. Before they can say anything the blood disappears in the blink of an eye.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is now two months since the storm started. The rain doesn't stay but the dark clouds never leave and neither can the citizens. The outskirts of the city are shrouded in fog and no one has returned from the outside, though a few have entered the fog from the inside and not returned; those that do return find nothing but darkness and rubble.
Every duel now starts a shadow game, locking the two opponents in a dangerous battle. The games are tiring and not all have the energy to duel without fainting. Wounds are deals to each player with each received blow, the more power a duellist has the more sever the wounds they deal. People feel sever pain and agony while their bodies are ripped to pieces and even dismembered and after each duel it all appears to have been in their minds.
Gangs have formed and battles are now being waged for resources, land and ,by a few, peace. The reason the shadow games have returned remains a mystery, can you solve it and bring back the light?
Before you start
1. Read the rules.
2. Post your profile.
Rules and Guidelines
1. No god-modding. The shadow games only happen in the minds of the people in the duel. Onlookers cannot see the blood and dismemberment. If you lose a duel you won't die unless already in pain or tired unless your opponent has a Millennium Item.
2. You only have an item if you request for a character with an item. Message me to request one of the current available items.
3. Death from a Millennium Item depends on luck. If you lose to an opponent with an item roll a 100-sided die. Odd numbers mean death and even means you just faint and you will revive.
4. Don't decide on your opponents actions, let them decide what happens to their character from your actions. Also be realistic and take a few punches when it happens, you can't avoid all blows.
5. You don't get special powers like seeing spirits or summoning real monsters.
6. Pick a deck and stick to it. You can have a few slight variations but your build is your build and you cannot change it. Don't include cards like "Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind" unless your deck is Blackwings.
7. Two characters at a time maximum. One must be a minor character if you have two. If a character dies you can create a new character, max 4 total characters overall.
