Altair walked silently through the Azul forest. It was a beautiful day so he had decided to go for a walk and head down to the cove. He had left Farah in charge like he always did when he was away and told the rouges to inform him if there was any trouble. He jumped onto an over turned log and followed it through the brush. It had been a rather dull day at the castle, everyone was training or lounging around. He had hoped to spend some time with Farah... but now that she had kits that would have to wait till they were older.

((I may change her text color, I dunno >.> )) Chamomile stood over on a cliff edge, looking out at the ocean. It had been a long time since she'd seen the large body of water, she'd forgotten how nice it smelled. All of yesterday she'd been excited, knowing it was near just by the smell of the air. Forests near oceans smelled different. The view was quite beautiful, and Cam couldn't help but smile. The whole area was simply gorgeous! It would be a marvelous place to live and raise a family. She was willing to bet other modis would be somewhere around here. No way a place this wonderful could go undiscovered for long!
Speaking of..... Cam noticed a modifox walking along the beach. She assumed he was a light brown; but for his tail and tips of his paws, the fox was covered in odd garments. She swished her green and yellow tail, wondering what to do. Some foxes were territorial, others generous to visitors. As a lone female, getting caught in the land of a territorial tribe wouldn't be good. Cam wasn't very strong or fast. She still hadn't made up her mind whether to stand or vanish by the time the male had gotten close enough that he could surely spot her.

Walking along the beach often seemed to calm him down a bit. Maybe it was the way the water moved gently up and down it seemed to created a calming effect to him when he was nervous or upset. He stopped at the edge for the water for a moment and looked out over the vast ocean. After a moment he began moving again this time walking along the waters edge with his paws in the water. After about five more steps a sent caught his nose. The sent of another fox. Interested he sniffed the air trying to locate the fox it belonged to.

Well there went her chance to get away! Cam was mostly brown and green, which was great camo. Sadly she also had some bright yellow markings, which killed the great camo. The male fox would have spotted her in an instant!
So, rather than try to hide, Cam made sure she properly stood up and in plain view. She did make for an almost magestic sight, with hold she held her head and how her pale green eyes viewed the world. The wind even picked a great moment to appear, ruffling through her coat without mussing it. Cam's fur patterns were interesting in that they looked like flowers. And if the wind hit just right, like it was now, it almost seemed like the flowers were swaying on her body.

As Altair scanned the area trying to find who the sent belong too his eyes suddenly met those of a rather beautiful female fox. He watched as she stood up revealing herself him. She was a rather beautiful sight, with the way the sun and wind caught her fur. He also now noticed why he hadn't been able to make her out when he first glanced over the area where she was. Her fur had the most beautiful designs on them. For a moment he didn't know what to do. He was just sort of standing there and looking at her.
He closed his eyes and shook him self out of it. He hoped he would make a little better first impression on her when he actually went to talk to her. Gathering up his strength he took and nice calming breath and began walking toward her. He hoped he wouldn't scare her off... he was rather bad when it came to girls.

Cam tried to tone down her posture a bit. She had an odd habit of just going all regal. Not so much like a leader, but definetly like someone important. It didn't help that she talked a bit like it too, though she managed to tone it down some when with friends.
Cam's eyes followed the male as he moved towards her. When he first spotted her he froze a bit, and so had she. But then his body posture had relaxed and he kept moving towards her at a natural walking pace. She couldn't see any deception or trick in the peaceful pose, which reassured her.
Slowly she moved a foot forward in a set, then another, until she was walking at a steady pace to meet the male halfway. She couldn't quite get herself to relax from her upright stance. It might have been her own was to defend herself. Looking impressive did seem to encourage less violent responses.
When Cam was four feet away from the male she stopped. She wasn't quite sure what to say, and in any case it seemed proper to her that the male make the first greeting. So she waiting, watching him curiously.

As he made his way toward the female he was quite happy to see that she didn't turn and run. instead she was walking toward him. He was happy to see that she wasn't too frightened with his appearance. Most of the time when he met a new fox they had often found him frightening even before they got a chance to talk to him.
After a few feet he noticed that she had stopped walking. He guessed it was up to him to make the first move. Closing in the last few feet he smiled then stopped about foot from her and bowed his head. "Good day to you Mis... I did not mean to startle you when I walked onto the beach."

Cam smiled. It brought her down from distantly imperial to warm and friendly-looking. "You should not apologize. I had assumed other modis would live in this beautiful place, but I did not think I would run into any so soon. My name is Chamomile."

He smiled as well. "Chamomile... what a beautiful name. My name is Altair..." he nodded his head. "I am the seer of a tribe that lives close to this cove." He wagged his tail happily. "It is a pleasure to meet you Chamomile."

"Please, call me Cam. Chamomile is such a mouthful to use in everyday conversations." Hmmmm, so she'd been right about a tribe living here. Lucky, this was such a nice place. Maybe...... "Seer? What's your tribe like," Cam asked, ever curious.

"As you wish." He inclined his head again. "I shale call you cam. I would give you a nick name for me but unfortunately I do not have one..." Altair was rather happy this was going well. Even though Cam couldn't see his face or what he looked like she was still having a vary nice conversation with him. She would make fine tribe member if she were to join. "You wish to know of the tribe? Vary well. Our tribe is highly spiritual, and deeply connected to all and everything... including our Deity The Maker. For it was he who passed on to us the way of life and living. We are taught to view the world in three distinct and separate levels: the physical, the spiritual, and the symbolic. All are intertwined and fundamental, it is through these levels that one can truly understand existence and it’s cyclic nature. Everything is inner connected, nothing is separate." He paused for a moment before continuing. "In the tribe families are not of the conventional sense. There is not just parent and kit. A kit growing up in the tribe will have many mothers and fathers as the entire tribe is a one giant tight knit family. There are times where one kit will be raised by four or five different adults, maybe not even by their biological parent. Everyone member is deeply connected to one another, not just spiritually but mentally and physically. Having gone through basic training together a bond of brotherhood forms that is impenetrable. Most, though not all, members join one of the Orders as a kit. It is harder but not impossible for an adult to enter into an Order. As kits, they are schooled on the teachings of the specific order. Class begins at dawn and does not finish until dusk. Kits are expected to behave and listen to their instructor without complaint or a discipline with be issued. Though of course the instructors realize they are only children and there is allot time for play and relaxation. The time for play lessens over time however, as the kit matures. Each fox, upon reaching the age of adulthood, goes through an event called ‘The Trials’. This is their final test before officially becoming a member of an Order. They must face off against the head of The Order in whatever kind of test that fox dictates, and it does vary occasionally. Of course Any adult that wants to join an Order will be tested by the Head, and then it is left up for them to decide. Though any fox can appeal to the Seer being me if they are turned down..." (ooc: I kinda just copied the front page of the tribe if thats ok. sweatdrop )

Cam listened avidly. When Altair finished speaking she said, "It sounds fascinating! What kinds of Orders do you have in your tribe?" In the back of her mind she was thinking about joining them. It was like she had been guided to this place specifically to join this tribe, odd as that sounded to her.

Altair smiled seeing the interest on her face. He was lucky... maybe she would like to join his tribe. If she did she would be greatly welcomed into the tribe. "Well we have Ranger's; (Hunters) This modifox has a delicate mixture of hunting skills and the ability to track. A lethal predator with the knowledge and skill-factor to bring down his/her enemies. They are expert trackers, being able to read the signs of the forest in order to locate anything they desire, locations or people. Mage's; (Shaman) Masters of magic and devote followers of the Maker. They are the keepers of the ‘word’ of ‘The Maker’. When first ‘The Maker’ spoke to Vortigern, he instructed that only his ‘word’ should be written down. And so it was placed inside a book that the mages safeguard. It is the only source of written word in the entire tribe. It also happens to be the source of their power and magic. Priestess; (Carer) Only female foxes can join this Order. The ‘Healing touch’, a skill passed down from ‘The Maker’ himself, is entwined into the female line passed only from mother to daughter. It is their responsibility to care for and heal the sick and wounded. Also it sometimes falls to them to take care of BCRs and kits, whether from a crisis or if simply other adult are too busy with their duties. Rogue; (Scout) Foxes with the ability to blend into their surroundings, seemingly disappearing. Mainly used for reconnaissance. Stealth is key, and kits are trained from a young age in order to acquire the necessary skills. Paladin; Warriors for ‘The Maker’. It is their job to protect the Seer. Occasionally they are also sent out to collect food with the Rangers. And another responsibility is to guard the castle walls and last but not least... is the Scholar's; The historians, keepers of knowledge. Story tellers who have all the history and wisdom from the generations past memorized so they can recite it to the young or whoever requires it... of course it is the only one we are without at the moment."
He had hopped it wasn't too much information for her. He stood quietly waiting wile she went over everything he had said.

Cam looked at Altair, curious. "If the scholar's know all the tribe history from it's beginning, but you don't have any, where do they learn this from?" Her green and yellow tail swished a bit behind her.

"Ahhh... an excellent question..." He smiled again. "You see all of the tribes history has been passed from The Maker... to me... I have but to simply place my forehead to that of the Scholars and they will know everything that I know. History, the lands, how our tribe became, everything... even information about the first seer to the present one..." He had hopped that had caught her interest. They were in need of a great Scholar.
