Umm, I came here hoping for tips myself... XP I was trying to make these and thought they'd be cooler if they were red velvet. I'd never used red velvet. Anyway, I was adding the jam in the middle, and obviously I had no idea how unstable red velvet apparently is, having never used it before, because they came out like playdough. XP I kid you not. They were awwwwfuuuulllll.
...also, they weren't red, persay, but they were... neon pink :/ And during that fiasco, I accidentally dropped something on my little bottle of red food colouring, and it FLEW across the kitchen, hit the floor, exploded and shot the cover somewhere else, drippled ALL my red food colouring ALL over the floor of the kitchen, and well into the living room. XD It looked like a murder scene. XP
So... don't add jam to the centres. XP
