Reason for Nickname: It’s a pet name used by his family and closer friends.

Age: He appears to be in his mid-twenties.
Eye Color: Bright amber eyes with a dark limbal ring, they seem different colors depending on the shade of his hair, and coincidentally, eyebrows and eyelashes. They are particularly striking when his hair expresses as blue, or gold, respectively.
Eye Shape: Almond-shaped, relatively normal looking, with long, dark lashes.
Glasses or contacts?: Cassiel often wears dark-tinted glasses to help with his work.
Hair color: It changes depending on the reiki currents around him. Usually in the black-to-brown side of the spectrum. Whatever color it was originally, he isn't telling.
Hair length and style: As straight as can be, cut to varying lengths. He has bangs that fall into his face with a long section at the left to frame his face, and at the back, it lengthens until roughly ribcage level. He often ties the long bit back with a ribbon.
Face shape: Triangle shape, with very fine, narrow features.
Skin tone: Tawny gold.
Distinguishing features: His back and arms are laced with what appears to be scales, a remnant from his time as a guinea-pig for DEUS TD. He doesn't mind them, nor do they take on any particular pattern - they grew in where his skin was damaged - where he had scarred. He also has a small line of them on his cheekbone. His nails, hair and 'scales' react to reiki levels around his person, and change in color to express it. Starting black with an absence of reiki, they climb through hues to blue, gray, brown, violet, red, ginger, gold, platinum blonde, then white. Extremely high levels of reiki, or sudden spikes of it, will make his keratinous tissues glow as he can’t absorb an amount like that with any efficiency, and his tissues will repel it.

Health Condition: On the whole, he is rather healthy, and almost never gets sick. He works to keep himself in excellent condition, and usually manages to do it. When he does catch something, though, he will b***h and moan about it to no end.
Overall Constitution: He is fairly strong, with a slim, but toned body. He doesn't look at all bulky - all of his muscles are wiry and do nothing to add to his physical presence when he's clothed.

Talents/Skills: He’s remarkably good at fixing things and getting along with people, if he’s of a mind to do so. He has a knack for invention and is currently working on a small, portable scene capturing device.
Relationship skills: Cassiel has an annoying habit of withholding information until he feels the person he's talking to has 'earned' the right to know. He flirts quite ruthlessly when he feels like it, and never ever disappoints when it comes to making a friend smile.
Habits: He tends to flirt with friends, and uses sarcasm a lot. He plays with his hair fairly often, and drums his fingers when bored.
Hobbies: Painting, sketching, and art in general, he also enjoys tinkering with small reiki-powered devices. The kind a person can power.
Virtues: He's kind to his friends, and decent to almost everyone else. The only people he really dislikes are those he's seen as doing some kind of misdeed. He loves animals.
Flaws: If he goes into something with a certain frame of mind, he's got the bit in his mouth, and won't let go. This can occasionally be an advantage - if he chooses to obey what he's told he can and can't do, he will almost never step outside of those boundaries. Usually, though, he will only steadfastly obey something that can come to benefit him, or bring him closer to his goals. He's opportunistic at the best of times and will do a lot of things to better his position in society, one that just happened to be being a guinea pig for DEUS TD. He’s a touch narcissistic, and takes immaculate care of his hair and nails.

Personality key question: How would your character spend a rainy day?: He’d proceed like normal, until he was done everything that needed to be done. He would then proceed to go out onto a secluded rooftop and just stand underneath it, absorbing the reiki until he eventually began to glow. The rest of the night would be spent tinkering, until he’d spent the reiki he’d managed to absorb.

How do they dress?: He dresses very well, in western-style clothes, often cut very close to the line of his body, and made from things like silk, leather and velvet. He prefers black and white with a vibrant color to the two with eachother.
Favorite Sayings: "I'm seeing black. Lots of black. And maybe a little red." "Well, I'll be switched." "And you are...?" "Well, actually," "Snake? You'd be more accurate in calling me a horse." Vernacular: A rather polished, suave tone of voice, something he has cultivated to hone his people skills. He has a sarcastic streak that comes out at the worst of times, especially when it comes to arguing about his rather... unique physical traits.

Reigen true-form ability:

Shoot, looks like I /did/ under-explain the scales, nails, etc. He was supposed to be a reiki battery, in essence - able to drag stuff in from the air around him actively, absorb it, use it. They were fiddling with ways to make his keratinous tissues - hair, nails, teeth, etc. (good thing he was an adult otherwise he'd have ...special teeth) change colors with the currents of reiki around him. He can sense it, too, but it's a way for the people around him to see what the levels etc. are like - a way of monitoring, really. He was fine absorbing reiki, until he started absorbing too much - his body ended up forming scales out of keratin over the course of a few days to store the stuff, and they halted that part of the experiment as a bit of a failure. ^^;

Physically, he's supposed to be very attractive. He enjoys spending time with people on a person-to-person basis ifyouknowwhatimean regardless of gender.

He's not a thug, perse. He comes off as a bit of an a** at first, yes, but he's a mind-over-manner kind of guy. He's careful of boundaries with who he flirts with, though... he's not quite cruel, exactly. I'll see how best I can reword that part.

And yeah, still thinking of exactly how that came to be, but when you're interested enough that you used to spend all of your spare time around there, you're more likely to be around when they're looking for test subjects.
