(You didn't think we spent ALL our times in the labs, did you?) Rules; ⒈ → Please do not fight here...and if you do, make sure to clean up after yourself. 2. → ...actually, there is no second rule. Excuse me.

A black-haired individual sat in the garden with a shogi board, playing out her third game of the day on her lap. A lot of people would consider her odd, to be playing a game against herself, but she didn't honestly care. Her turquoise eyes followed each piece as it was laid on the board, wondering where everyone else had disappeared to. When she had entered the Institute, it had seemed oddly barren. After a little while of updating, she had exited into the garden, where usually at least one or two of the squad members would be either wandering around or chatting with one another. She had managed to not run into anyone, and that confused her.
Rue's game was interrupted by one piece falling out of her hand, which she leaned down to pick up without disturbing the board. The lieutenant of Division Twelve retrieved it with ease, and continued with her game. Obviously, the bench she was sitting on was cloaked in darkness, as usual, and no one had bothered to come near. It was then that she realized it was actually around five in the morning, and she had simply had a very early start. Of course. That's why the garden had been so dark when she had come outside.

Alexander Hydroso Captain of Squad Nine The black hair taichou entered the garden. Left hand on the hilt of his zanpakuto, and right right behind his back, he struts slowly across the gardens, muttering to himself. Why he came early in the morning, he doesn't know. Prehaps he just lost time in the workshop. His finger was still swollen from hitting it, and that made him stop and come visit the Squad 12's labratorys. He was always interested in their work. Tapping his hilt, he noticed a girl with a shogi board. He wondered why she was alone with a game. Seeing her loneliness, he spoke up, "Hey why are ya alone?" He asked the girl, who he assumed was the lieutenant. There was still a spot of soot on his face, which he licked his finger and wiped it off. Looking around now, he didn't see many others. "And a better question is why are you up so early?" The girl looked up when she heard a voice, recognizing the person to be the Ninth Division taichou. She blinked slowly, then responded to his first question after he had finished speaking. "No one is up." She said simply, setting the final piece of the game onto its spot. It turned out that she had won, to no surprise. She stacked up the pieces as she answered the next question. "I simply woke up early." Rue finished, approaching the dark-haired man. She was keeping her sentences short, as usual, something the Captain might be confused about, but it wasn't something she really cared to explain. She was born that way, plain and simple.
She had left the shogi board on the bench, planning to return for it soon, so that she had her hands free. Tilting her head to the side, she looked up at him, although he was only a few inches taller than her, and remained within the shadow of a tree, despite the fact that every crevice of the garden was darkened. It was at the exact point after the moon sets but before the sun rose, the first of two times when the world was plunged into darkness. "I could ask you the same." She finished, referring to his second question. And outside of his own division, as well.

Alexander Hydroso Captain of Squad Nine She got to the point, with few words. He liked that about people. If they had to drag on sentences in every conversation, life would be boring. 'I could ask you the same' she said to him. Alex rolled his eyes and looked at his injured finger. "These times..." He said, not making any sense. His thoughts rumbled from the Kitsunes, to his work, to the saftey of the Soul Society. Shaking his head from his rambled thoughts, he looked down at her. She had black as well, and blue eyes. Her blue eyes looked up at him brightly, probally the brightest thing in this hour. He sighed and said, "Name a taichou who acutally sleeps for nine hours" He said with a laugh. There was always work to do. Training, paper work, metalshop, scouting. "I acutally decided to come visit your taichou, I think i've done enough damage to my own Squad" He laughed, showing his brightly bruised hand. The man started wandering into his thoughts. Rue was tempted to leave him to it, until he shook his head and spoke. "Actually, Akibara-taichou is still asleep." She said quickly, looking in the general direction of her captain's quarters, where her captain was no doubt still asleep. Otherwise, he would have been in the gardens, and she would have run into him. Seeing his hand, Rue blinked slowly and a little confusedly.
"Shouldn't you see someone from Division Four then?" She asked quietly, though it was sort of a rhetorical question. He seemed to be taking the bruise lightly, but it looked worse than just a simple bruise. Looking towards the east, she watched as the moment of darkness ended. It had only lasted for about ten seconds, and now the sun was starting to rise over Lab IV's treetops. "What happened though?"

Alexander Hydroso Captain of Squad Nine Sanjo laughed. "Akibara is stil asleep. Lucky dog. I forget if he was at the meeting or not.." He said the last part in a mutter to himself. Truth was, the Kitsunes worried him. Sleep hardly came to those who worry. He really just needed to keep himself busy. Besides, he thought to himself, I am not even tired! As if some kind of bad cosmic joke, he yawned. A bright light pierced his vision, and in that split second, it hurt his eyes. Looking over now, he saw the sun was rising. Hearing her say 'Shouldn't you see someone from Division Four then?' brought the smile back to his face. She asked the 'What happened thought?' He stared at his hand. "I got carried away in my work again" He said, noting that this has happened before and also refering that the 'work' he is talking about is metal-working. It is a favored past time in the 9th Divion barracks. Rue sighed, remembering the Ninth Division's main focus to be forging metals. It seemed he was tired, too; whereas she hadn't felt exhaustion in several weeks. Simply a side effect of not staying up worrying or working on the computers like some captains she knew. It wouldn't do any good to lie to herself, so she simply thought her captain's name. Her mind started to wander then, and after a moment she also shook her head.
It occurred to her that Hydroso-taichou should be in his own barracks rather than the Division Twelve garden, so she voiced her question aloud. He didn't seem to be keeping the conversation going, anyway. "So what brings you to Division Twelve?" Rue asked, shrugging her shoulders as both a gesture to back the question and a mid-morning stretch of sorts. Then it struck her that that was one of her longest sentences, but she chose to ignore this for the time being, as it was a simple detail she had chosen to point out to herself.

Alexander Hydroso Captain of Squad Nine Sanjo's faced turned serious for the moment. "I just came to talk to Akibara-taichou" He said, putting Akibara's rank in there. Normally he doesn't do that, unless its something serious. A grin reappeared on his face. "Well it's no bother really, i'll just come back later." He said, and his eyes darted to the game board, then back to Rue's eyes. "Maybe later I can play with you, so your not so alone?" He offered her, needing a break from his metalwork at any rate. His men were probally still asleep, and just incase the are not, he left the workshop unlocked. He figured they would survive a few hours without him. Alexander Hydroso Captain of Squad Nine A ping rung in his head. He remembered something. The reason he came over here was to get a hell butterfly. "I am sorry but I must be leaving now" The captain told her, and turned to depart. "Maybe we can play a game when I get back.." He said and went to grab a hell butterfly. {Exit to Senkimon} ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Δεν φοβάμαι ενός στρατού υπό την ηγεσία των λεόντων από ένα πρόβατο?
