Yesterday my tank didn't earn 1/4 of what it usually earns in 24 hours. I checked it at 7:30 this morning and again at 11:00am. In that entire time my tank didn't earn even 1 gold! I have to wonder what's going on???

My full dolphin tank isn't making a fraction of what it used to either.
I know some of it is the closing of dolphinmania, but I also know that a lot of my friends can't play because tanks won't load. You have to use a direct link, so I am going to put a direct link in my signature (when I remember). Also, I do think Gaia has cut down the amount of daily glows. No proof or data on that, just a feeling.

I have three tanks, this one and two full Dolphin Tanks. I check what they make every morning at the same time. One tank usually makes more than all three of them are now making! In two days the total gold earned from all three tanks was 128,346! Last week in the same amount of time the gold earned was 546,613. I do have direct links in all my signatures. I'm pretty sure you're right and they've cut the glow times. It's not fair to any tank owners, whether they have spent real money on fish or have worked diligently playing booty grab to obtain their fish. I've done both.

By the way, I'm a mule. The main account is under GailAnne Munchkin who has two mules, Dusty Golightly and Bluebelle Babe. I'm is going to send you an invite to Bluebelle Babe's Booty Grab thread. Perhaps it will get better.

I've recently started tracking my gold again and the initial numbers appear much lower. It's not due to DM closing because I mean compared to what I was making even before my tanks were posted in DM. My main tanks are in over 300 threads so the effect on them of DM closing should be minimal anyway.

One thing I have noticed recently and I'm not sure if this is a change is you have to log in at least once every 24 hours to keep your tank glowing. This concept is not new to me but I thought it used to be log in at least once each calendar day. Now (it appears) if you log in during the morning one day and don't log in until evening the next day your tank would not glow during the day time.

New change or not I personally think that is crappy. Logging in once per day should be good enough to count. Personally I'd rather see it glow for two or three days after a logon. I hate being penalized for giving family and real life priority. smile

Gaia did say they were going to make additional 'adjustments' to booty grab. Of course they also said they had no intent of hurting our ROI for users who had already purchased fish. I think that was Lanzer in AtA. I think they often say what ever to make people content at the time and then do what the hell they want and think no one will notice.

I've stopped buy fish for now and I stopped buying Gaia Cash a few months ago. I wonder if they noticed that. At least we can always count on new items being added to the Cash Shop! smile

I think you're right about them saying what they think we want to hear and then doing whatever they want anyway. And yes, it was Lanzer who said they had no intent of hurting our ROI. I read that post too. The bottom line is they are definitely in the money making business and we will always get more announcements about new items in the cash shop than about anything else. Incidentally, I stopped buying Gaia Cash too. Probably more people are buying with Gaia gold on the market than with cash in the shop and that's why they are doing whatever it is they are doing. They certainly aren't going to tell us that though! LOL!

Well, supply and demand runs MP. Somebody has to buy cash items in cash shop / fish store before they can be sold on MP for GG.

I do believe less folks are purchasing GC than they used to. Or, more accurately, I believe many people who were purchasing GC have stopped doing so because they got fed up with how things were being done with (insert item here - fish - RIGs, EIs etc.). I'm basing that on many comments I have seen in various threads.

I don't really know if it is less over all since new folks come along to replace some of those who are fed up. My impression though is Gaia is rolling out 'for cash' items at a much faster pace than they were doing when I first joined. That suggests to me they are not selling enough of each item and not getting the desired / needed amount of cash. That's just speculation but honestly Gaia's "come visit our cash shop" announcements are beginning to seem a bit desperate in their frequency.
