Marcus wandered aimlessly to the top of a mountain he came across. He had been travelling alone for a while now. His father never remained in one place for very long either, and his brother Xavier was the same as well. His two other brothers where with his tribe somewhere or other. Marcus didn't join them; he wasn't sure about the need for tribes as it was. He was fine on his own, and though he didn't dare doubt the Modideities, Marcus didn't believe that a tribe was needed to worship them.
The lone fox reached the summit of the mountain, a fairly small one, considering. It offered a beautiful view of a valley below, and Marcus was content in sitting a few paces away from the edge as the sun moved slowly across the sky above him.
He sat with his eyes closed, warmed by the sun above and cooled by the snow below. With his eyes closed, his other senses slowly grew stronger. He heard the wind pick up around him, and caught the scent of nearby foxes. Marcus decided to ignore them, as they were far away at the moment.
[Sorry, it's kind of short and there isn't much to it...]

Anila steps on a sharp rock and winces slightly in pain, checking her paw Anila is relieved that it’s not cut at all. Looking for Rynn would be a pain in the tail after all Anila had no idea which way Rynn went. Shifting her wings somewhat Anila forces herself to relax. Rynn knew how to take care of herself so finding her wasn’t as big of an issue as it could have been had Rynn been a defenseless kit, but still Reo would be mad if she found both Ixen and Rynn missing. Anila felt bad not knowing where the kit was but what could she do about it? Finding Rynn this time was hard enough and she was usually easy to spot being orange. Anila continues walking wondering if it wouldn’t be easier to spot Rynn form the air. Not wanting to be jumped and surprised by a spazzed out Rynn, Anila launches herself in the air to search. Feeling the freeing breeze beneath her wings Anila stretches them out and uses the air currents around the mountain to soar higher up. It seems like it had been forever since her last flight and her muscles felt so stiff! After some flying Anila was up past the top of the mountain. Her wings locked up and she began falling down and crash course with the mountain. Noticing a white fox directly in her path of immanent decent Anila tries to call out for him to move and can only hope he hears her above the wind. Heeeeey!!! LOOK OUT BELOW!!!(short is fine. and since i couldn't just hurt Marcus like that i leave it to you if they collide or not)

Marcus felt his ear twitch as he heard something, or rather someone, yelling. He couldn't pick up the words over the wind, and decided to open his eyes in curiousity. He glanced up in time to see the blue Modiphim descending quickly onto the mountain top, and right toward where he was.
He remembered thinking, as he attempted to move out of the way, that the yelling he heard earlier must have been her warning. Marcus didn't get very far when he felt the vixen slam into him, sending them both tumbling in a mass of limbs and wings.

Anila tried to untangle herself from the fox she slammed into. Her head was spinning and she was soar. After extracting herself she checked for injures. Some bruises and a lot of pain but nothing broken or bleeding heavily. The fox she crashed into cushioned her fall. Looking at the white fox she tries to apologize but her head is swimming so much that her words are still a little slurred. Sorry 'bout that. Are you ok? Anila tries to shake her head to clear it and lays it down when that fails.

Marcus finally rolled away from the 'Phim and was able to stand again. He ignored the little bit of pain he felt in his side and examined the vixen nearby. The blue and purple was much larger than him, and sported wings. She was the first Modiphim he had ever seen, and at first he had doubted the existance of such majestic beings.
He watched as she layed her head down on the snow. "I'm fine..." he answered finally. "How are you?" She seemed a lot more injured than he was. She had been flying, after all.

Slowly feeling better as her head clears Anila raises her fead and looks at the white male fox Yes, I believe I will be. I’ll have a few bruises, but nothing seems to be broken. Gingerly getting up she stretches her wings and takes a step forward then a step back to make certain. Yep. I’m ok
The sunlight glints off Anila’s feathers as she stands her wings in a partially outstretched state. She takes a look at the male in front of her; Anila notices that he has beautiful flower markings on him, not wanting to seem rude for staring she decides to start some conversation. Speaking in a calmer tone then she feels after having crashed into a random fox on a mountain top only the modies know where. Hello my name is Anila, may I ask yours?
(i just edited it to break up the blob of blue- i don't know about you but it was giving me a headache.)

Marcus stretched his limbs slowly as well, but was still focused on the Modiphim before him. Her wings weren't even fully open and they still looked massive and, as he had mentally described before, majestic.
Marcus noticed her watching him as well, before introducing herself. "You may," he replied to her question. "My name is Marcus. It's nice to meet you, Anila. Would you mind if I asked your reason for coming here? Purely out of curiousity, of course."

Marcus that was a nice sounding name. Anila blinks and focuses on his question. He asked why she was up here right? Well Marcus, I was looking for Rynn, she is orange fox that has the same master as I do. I thought it might be easier to spot her from the air, and since I haven’t flown in a while I ended up crashing when my wings locked up. Anila was glad she had purplish fur because she was blushing furiously. Who ever heard of Modiphim crashing because they hadn’t flown in a long time? The idea was absurd. Anila hoped Marcus didn’t start laughing at her; that was the last thing she wanted today.
What about you? Why are you here on his mountain so far from everyone and everything? Anila settles herself down into a sitting position to give Marcus her full attention, her tail lazily looping in the air behind her.

Marcus listened to Anila's story without much of an expression on his face. "An orange vixen by the name of Rynn... I can't say I've seen anyone fitting that description from up here," he said when she finished. "And I always travel alone," he answered. "I thought the mountain would give me a nice view of the area. It didn't disappoint." As Marcus talked, he watched Anila seat herself down. He decided to remain standing where he was.
Marcu was examining her wings again, almost enviously. "You really haven't flown in a while?" He said. "Why not?"

Anila’s ears twitched forward in slight annoyance. Well I suppose I was hoping to much when I wanted to find Rynn, she only seems to be located when she wants to be. Anila wanted to know why Marcus traveled alone. He seemed like a pleasant enough fox. Didn’t he have a mate or kits? Still it seemed rude to pry into the life of a male she just met and it really wasn’t her business. The question lingers at the back of Anila’s mind though.
Squirming a bit Anila tries to answer Marcus’s question without feeling too foolish. Well you see I live with my owner and her other foxes. None of them fly so it is not as if I have someone to fly with. Since I don’t have anyone to fly with it seemed pointless too, it’s not like I have a mate or anyone to impress or anything like that. Not even Anila’s purple and blue fur can hide her blush this time as it peeks out a bit to anyone who looked closely. Trying to distract Marcus from seeing she waves a paw indicating his own pelt. You have a very beautiful coat you know that? The way the sunlight shines on it up here makes you look like a snow sculpture with ice flowers placed delicately in it.

Marcus listened to Anila's explanation in silence, responding when he could with, "I see. Still, walking when you could be flying everywhere..." Marcus trailed off. It was her descision, after all. He noticed easily enough her blush, but didn't point it out or comment.
"Thank you, Anila, for the compliment," Marcus said. "That is an interesting description to say the least, but I suppose it is accurate. Your coat is quite beautiful as well." The fox's muscle's slowly untensed, until he was almost relaxed. He sat down where he was, facing the blue and purple 'Phim.

Great now Marcus was probably thinking she was a brain dead fox because she didn’t fly everywhere. As the rest of Marcus’s words filter into Anila’s mind she is shocked. Had he just called her beautiful? Her mouth drops open slightly with the realization that her mind is not playing tricks on her. No one had ever called her beautiful, well that wasn’t quite true her owner called her beautiful. Still no male had ever called Anila pretty before, much less beautiful.
Granted she didn’t know very many male foxes but the comment persisted to unsettle her for some reason. It felt as if she had a bunch of miniature ‘Phims in her stomach and they kept bumping into her insides. Closing her mouth slowly Anila tries to brush off the impact of Marcus’s comment with a more casual response so she didn’t come off as a complete imbecile. Rolling her eyes just a bit and smiling she responds I bet you say that to all the flying foxes who crash into you, still thank you for the compliment Marcus. Anila still can't help but look bashful during the second part of that comment.
(quick stupid question are Marcus and Anila going to end up mates or is this a quick fling, or perhaps just a casual meeting?)

[I don't mind them being mates, but it's really up to you XP]
Marcus got always being on gaurd from his mother, but this 'Phim seemed harmless enough, and somehow she was easy to relax around. She seemed very innocent and genuine; must be a Modiphim trait, considering they're counterparts are Modidaevas.
Marcus was so calm around Anila, he was almost startled when he began chuckling slightly at her comment. Refusing to show any surprise at his own emotions, Marcus quickly pushed it aside. "Only when the flying fox deserves the compliment," Marcus replied. He did have a bit of his father's daring personality, after all.

Anila’s tilts to the side a bit as she tries to hide her blush. Marcus was just very complimentary, perhaps that was his nature? If so there was no way he was not mated already, after all what female would be able to resist this debonair fox’s charm? Finally managing to get her blush under control Anila shifts her position. She and Marcus had been sitting on this plateau chatting for quite some time and the cold stone was not being kind to her behind even with her fur. Wrapping her wings around her, Anila marveled at Marcus seemingly monotonous attitude toward the cold air up so high. He didn’t seem cold at all.
Aren’t you the least bit chilled after all this time? Anila couldn’t hide the tremor of concern from her voice as she imagined Marcus ending up with frost bit because he had stayed and talked with her rather than seeking the warmth of a shelter. Her ears twitched with slight anxiety at the thought. (*thinks* well I don’t mind them being mates either, but I would defiantly love at least a fling so that there are kits. I think the kits would be gorgeous don’t you? I guess we shall see how the RP goes to determine if they end up mates.)

Marcus watched silently as Anila shifted around a little to wrap her wings around her. If this didn't indicate that she was cold, her question certainly did. "I'm fine in cold temperatures, as well as hot and moderate ones," he replied. "My mother and two of my brothers are part of the Kousetsu tribe, after all. And my father and other brother and I travel through many different climates."
During another moment of silence, another chilling wind blew past and Marcus, though fine with ignoring the cold feeling, could see why Anila would feel cold. "I wouldn't mind, however, accompanying you down the path until we reach a much warmer area," he offered, indicating with a nod at the path he had taken to reach the summit of the mountain.
