An open field with a few small trees and some fairly large boulders. clouds move across the sky lazily as the sun shines brightly. The wind blows soft but continuously.

Kyo stepped into the field, enjoying the feel of the breeze against his face. He was excited, it was here in this field on this day that he would begin his Kido training. This is where he would become that much stronger. An excited growl slipped from his mouth before he could contain it. He smiled slightly as he looked at the clouds drifting across the sky, then leaned against a rock to wait.

"Well, seems that someone is quite excited to learn some new tricks eh? Long time no see Kyo, been a while since I've been down to squad 10 how are things there?" Zaine asked as he walked up to the shinigami's position, the vice captain was indeed pleased to see an old member of his old squad, as evidenced by the grin spread across his face. "Anyway I hear you wish to learn some kido eh? Well Genji has charged me to take over your training so which kido would you like to start with? Choice is all yours." He said with a nod, waiting for the shinigami's reply.
((I am gonna take over your training, we can start with whatever kido you want except for hado 33, I am still training for it so as soon as I get it we can get you taught it ^_^))

Kyo smiled when he saw Zaine. "It has been awhile, things in squad 10 are as the same as always...well except for the new captain but thats about the only change." he replied. he thought about the Kido he wanted to learn and decided almost immediately, "We can start with Hado #11, if thats ok with you." he said.

"I see, well I still will be popping in from time to time so don't think you won't be seeing me around anymore." he said with a grin, he nodded when Kyo stated the spell he wanted to start with, "Okay then, Hado #11 is a bit tricky since you have to have a medium through which you will transmit it into your target, here watch me." He commanded and withdrew a bandage from his cloak and tied it to a small dummy designed for this spell especially, "You have to transfer the spell through the object that is connecting you to your target so it takes some concentration to get it just right." He then gripped the bandage and muttered, "Hado #11 Tsuzuri Raiden!" an electrical current flew through the bandage and into the dummy, which exploded shortly after contact, leaving a smoking pile of cloth and wood in the dummy's place.

"that is good to know, i look forward to seeing you there." he replied. He watched intently as Zaine demonstrated the Kido for him. He turned to a dummy that was nearest to him and fumbled through his clothes to find something he could use as a medium. Finally he got frustrated and tore the sleeve off of his robes. "This will have to do for now." he muttered before wrapping the cloth around the dummy. He gathered his reiatsu and gripped the cloth firmly in his hands. "Hado #11 Tsuzuri Raiden!" a electrical current ran through the cloth but fizzled out before hitting the dummy, though it did leave the cloth fried and useless. Kyo was not happy with his failure, not too mention the destruction of his sleeve, but that was to be expected from using a part of his clothes as a medium for electircity he supposed.

Kyo growled in frustration, before angrily ripping the remaining sleeve off of his clothes. He was now sleeveless and while it wasn't that big of a deal, it did bother him slightly that he was going to have to get his clothes fixed now. He needed to start carrying around bandages or something so he would have a more easier replentished medium for the kido. He hadnt thought the Kido would be this difficult. He was sure he had done it right, he just had to work out how to make it reach far enough to actually make contact with his intended target. Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath, he estimated the proper reiatsu levels he would need for both force and distance before opening his eyes and nodding to himself. He would succeed this time, "Hado #11 Tsuzuri Raiden!" this time the current ran through the cloth quickly and struck as it struck the dummy, it burn it to ash. Leaving a pile that was similar to Zaine's.

"Not too bad, you still need practice of course but in time you will be able to pull that off quite well. Now onto the next one. Hado #31 Shakkaho to make this a bit easier, remember the procedure used for Hado #4. The execution is very similar, but instead of channeling reiatsu into your fingers, you most send it into your palm. That causes problems for some people since it is easier to control the reiatsu through the finer tips of the finger, watch me." Zaine said with a nod, leveling his palm at a dummy on the range. He forced his right arm out and held it steady at the elbow with his left hand, almost like aiming a gun. Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south! Hado #31 Shakkaho!" As soon has he finished a crimson orb flew from his palm and smashed into the dummy, blowing it up and leaving no traces whatsoever in its wake. "Careful with this one, you can blow your arms off if ya don't do it just right." Zaine cautioned the young shinigami.

Kyo watched carefully, trying to work out in his mind how to properly channel his reiatsu through his palm instead of his fingerstips. He was suprised at the level of destruction the kido caused, not sure what he expected but it wasnt that. He gritted his teeth and nodded curtly at Zaine's next words, wondering how he would deal with losing an arm if he failed-could the 4th division fix that? he didnt want to find out he decided. taking a breath he held out his arm trying to match how Zaine had done it, bracing his elbow with his other arm as he focused on the dummy. "Hado #31 Shakkaho!" he cried, a small red orb started to form at his palm but vanished almost immediately. Kyo clenched his eyes shut and waited for the backfire to take off his arm, if not kill him.

Realizing he wasn't dead, and even better still had both arms he sighed in relief-the growled in frustration. He re-analysed how he had seen Zaine did it and decided that the only difference was the incantation. He knew it was probably more than that but he figured it wouldn't hurt to add in the incantation this time. "Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south! Hado#31 Shakkaho!" this time a ball of crimson reiatsu flew from his palm as soon as he finished the incantation and upon striking the dummy utterly destroyed every last trace of it. Kyo nodded in success. He had done it, he was one step closer to learning every Kido there was.

"Good work man" Zaine commented with a grin, "You'll need to practice a bit more but still not too bad for a first try. That Kido does stump people from time to time since it does require something that a lot of other don't require, channeling reiatsu through an object. So the next spell you need to learn is Shakkaho correct? Very well let's not waste any time." Zaine said blandly, walking up to the target range he pointed at the group of dummies and muttered, ""Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south! Hado #31 Shakkaho!" He forced his right arm out and held it steady at the elbow with his left hand, almost like aiming a gun. A bright ball of vermillion energy appeared in Zaine's palm and grew larger as it left his hand. The ball smashed into the target and created an explosion. Zaine turned to Kyo and smiled. "Now it's your turn, don't blow yourself up kay?" he said with a chuckle.
