When it come to professions, are there any that you hate? Love? Always seem to have? Never tried?
I hate enchanting. My first toon ever was a warlock with tailoring and enchanting. Worst mistake ever. All my cloth went to tailoring, so I never had bandages and neither profession could make me even 1 silver at low levels. With tailoring, it was annoying, but cloth was free at least. But with enchanting, it blew big ugly chunks. I got stuck at level 200-something and just couldn't get any higher. Since I couldn't make any gold off my professions, and I DCed any greens I got, I simply didn't have any gold to buy mats to up my skill. And no one wanted work done with their mats, since I was so low level. It actually made me so frustrated that I started crying! LOL Finally I just gave it up and picked up mining just to get some gold. I've never tried enchanting again since.
Mining is the profession I love and almost all my characters have had. My rogue was mining/engineering, my warrior was mining/blacksmithing, one priest is mining/JC and my other priest is mining/skinning (she's my first on a new server and I just wanted a way to get some fast gold). The only toon that never had mining was my druid (who is now herb/inscription but started out herb/skinning just for the gold).
As for secondary professions, I hate leveling fishing. I think I only have one toon that has a fishing skill above 200.

I on different toons I have max level Jewel crafting and Alchemy, both of which I love. As long as you have the gathering professions to go with them, they are both pretty easy to level. I always heard people complaining about how difficult JC was to level, but I breezed through all 450 levels like it was nothing, and both are GREAT for making money with.
I'm currently trying to level enchanting on my druid, and that's a major pain. I definitely don't like it. It's so money and time consuming. But I'm going to try to stick with it.
I also really hate tailoring as well. I'm currently stuck at 432 as I have been for over a year now....it wasn't too bad to level early on, but these last 20 points are killing me.
Also fishing. Fishing sucks. I'm maxed now, but god it was a long boring journey.

I have 3 toons with max Jc'ing. My main is a Max Enchanter with Jc'ing, My Paladin is my Alt with Jc'ing and Mining, and my Soon to be main DK is a Max Jc'ing and Lw'er.
I am a big Min/Maxer, If I decide to go DPS on my DK, I'd have to drop Lw'ing and do Eng, which I despise leveling.
Secondary, I can stomach leveling fishing and cooking only if I have good music to listen to. Other than that, in a few casts, I'm bored.

I leveled it by watching movies on my laptop while I only looked up at my pc ever time I heard a *splash*. After a few minutes, I kind of went on auto pilot and didn't even notice the splash, but somehow kept leveling anyway xd

As for tailoring, I think I just did a bunch of frostweave bags to skill up. It's been awhile since I've played on my tailor, so I don't remember for sure. I do love the "tailoring only" threads you can do as a high lvl tailor.

I found enchanting to be the easiest one for me to level, but I do dungeons constantly so greens are pretty frequent. I LOVE the profession now though, do an enchant for someone with their own mats and still pocket 20g from it easy. Skinning was also by far the easiest to get leveled. Jewelcrafting is one of the best professions to get, I make loads of money cutting gems for people. Was hard to level for me though since I didn't have mining till after I was maxed in jc. rofl
I hated leveling engineering. Need a bunch of mats to make anything useful. Though Jeeves is lovely. I could never get alchemy past 200 either.

JC without mining must have been a huge pain in the a** and quite costly. My only real problem with JC is that they only have trainers in BC/WOTLK capital cities. It wouldn't be a big deal after you reached 58, but before that it's a huge pain.

I've been leveling my mining and blacksmithing on my main character. So far, I hate blacksmithing, I make crap money, and it takes WAY to long to find the right ore. But, lately I've had a friend help me. He's been getting his Engineering up, and we have a deal if I can make money from my blacksmithing, we can both get the mats for the motorcycle and he would make us them. xD But, so far I have every useful profession on my alts. I just haven't leveled them up. :/ And it sucks when one character has mining and you have engineering, JC, and blacksmithing to level up.
And I love the secondary professions, but I can only level them for so long. I've been trying to get my cooking high enough to where I can make Black Worg Steak I think it is, it lets you track humanoids, which would be epic on my pally when Im pvping. But, I fish when I get bored. xD

I have like two toons that I actively level professions on. Those are my gnome mage who has Mining/engineering, my dwarf rogue who has skinning/leatherworking. As far as secondary professions all of my toons have first aid and cooking.

Between my near 6 max-level character (5 lvl 80s and a lvl 74) I have every single profession maxed. Of all of them, Blacksmithing and Engineering were definitely the most annoying to get up, with the lowest profit gain.
The easiest to get maxed is inscription, but it takes the longest and some of the most effort to get all the good patterns, and really the rest were just varying degrees of annoying. Leatherworking proved irritating just for the fact that you need SOOOO much leather to get those last so many levels.
Anyway, all in all, I'm happy I have them all maxed, it's nice to be self-proficient. I can chant, gem, and whatever else I need to do myself without having to go to other people, as long as I have the patterns I need smile

I just told my boyfriend, brothers and a few other friends to give me mats in exchange for free enchanting. Always good to have some sort of service to give. As far as trainers being in capital cities, that's what mages are around for. Just tip them like 10-15g and you can find one in trade willing to port you in no time. 3nodding

It'll show you where things are likely to spawn and how often. Try this one, Herbalism Guide 1-450

Kyv-Chan lol! i want to make my warlock an enchanter and tailor but i've been saving all the cloth i get on my DK for i can lvl the pros faster and easier NOOOOOOO! Don't do it!!! gonk ^_^ Actually I think the only reason it was so hard for me is because it was my first and only character at the time so there was no one else to help her out. I think if I tried it now, it wouldn't be anywhere near as hard. Also, you can sell the enchantments on the AH now, which you couldn't do at that time. I think that helps a lot, too.
