Yeahhh...I know some might think Alice in Wonderland is kind of overused in literature. But, I find it to be a fun inspiration to some forms of poetry and stories. Like I wrote this one after the Cheshire Cat, who also happens to be my favorite storybook character. Hope you guys like this. Feel free to post your own Alice inspired poetry here :3
Grin
Lose something did you?
Can't find a way out?
Don't let my grin deceive you
I can guide you through this labyrinth,
Of twisted faces and out-of-this-world spaces,
Even if you're the one who created it all...
Oh, can you not see, this is all just a dream
But you are lost in your own world,
In a forest of walking trees and flowers that laugh
Please listen, and listen carefully,
Curiousity killed the cat,
I try to help you
Now you might just be trapped, and you'll pay your price,
This world is strange, it's unlike many have ever seen,
Very...odd to say in the least...
Be on your guard, little girl, your sanity is at stake,
Oh, I'm not a cruel thing, don't offend me so
After all, dear one, I know the way back home
So treat me nicely
You'll get your reward
And you will never see my vanishing face ever again
Sweet one, innocent one,
If you cannot tell, then I shall tell you
"We're all mad here."
