What fun! Nelly'd found a mortal to torment. The spawn of two different species, he was sure the male had met his share of prejudice in the world. Even if he'd had a bright outlook, or been spared such things...far be it from Neltharion to pass up an opportunity to instill a healthy loathing of others in such an easy target. Hybrids really were just too easy...
He'd spent the last week trailing the mortal, taking various mortal guises and crossing his path. Each time he expressed disgust at the existence of a hybrid, varying in degrees from snide and blatant disdain to even physically attacking him at times. All in all it was like some great trick he'd played on the mortal; he was careful to always move out before getting too involved--even the fights were little more than a few traded blows.
It had crossed his mind to reveal himself to the mortal today. Perhaps goad him one last time, then shift into his much more impressive immortal state, proclaim some such nonsense as 'Even the gods think hybrids are filth', beat him up, then leave. Would that be sufficient to knock a healthy hate for the world into him? Hmm...
For now at least he'd just keep up the act. He settled onto the path ahead of the male and swathed himself in a new form; a new approach. A female hybrid, a lion-leopard mix as the male was. Eying his new brown and green fur, he grimaced and shivered...cuts and bites appeared in his fur, one ear shimmered then vanished--a torn stump left in its place. By the time he was done adjusting the illusion he looked a mess. A hybrid beaten and mauled nearly to death (perhaps by one of the 'others' that had so assaulted the male before?) Resisting the urge to grin at his own cleverness, he let out a pitiful cry for help. Even his voice was altered, a feeble and parched sounding rasp in place of his usual powerful rumble.

Poor Tamu. He had been having the worst week of his life and it was taking its toll on the poor pink and blue leopon. He had his fair share of difficulties growing up as a hybrid, and tried his best to stay out of the way of those who disliked him. Everything from fighting back the best he could with his powerful paws, to escaping up trees from lions, something they weren't particularly adapt at doing.
Although this week, he wasn't particularly apt at getting away from anyone. He had gotten himself into a few scuffles and managed to escape them without his prized coat paying the price for it. He wondered if the universe just was not pleased with him, because it seemed as if he was running into every speciesist lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and hyena there ever was out there. Sure, he did have his bad weeks were he'd run into a couple of them in a row, but this was getting on the ridiculous side.
"So tired," Tamu said with a sigh, his body aching and his mind exhausted from the God's torturous play with the leopon.
Nel's attempts to instill a nice healthy sense of hatred in the poor hybrid was not working as well as he had hoped. Yes, he had resentment within him for those who tormented him so, but Tamu constantly reminded himself that these people who he encountered every once and awhile were not major parts of his life and that there were other out there who embraced a hybrid's existence. He had empathy and hope, two emotions that could put quite a fight up against any hatred that would creep in.
Tamu's ears went erect on his head when he heard the cries of someone in distress. Scanning around he noticed a green and brown figure in the distance and his hackles raised. They were in trouble and he needed to go help them! He went into a sprint for some time until the distance between him and what he recognized as a female leopon began to close. He went into a quick trot as soon as he was within feet of her.
"Are you ok? What happened?!" Tamu asked.

Like a moth to a flame, sure enough the brave leopon had come running to his aid. The amusement that brought was almost ruined by the fact that the male still seemed not to be terribly angry or hateful. Most mortals were simple, and a few interactions was more than enough to get them furious with the world. This one, it seemed, was going to be stubborn. That was fine...it would just make it all the more delicious when he finally succumbed to the loathing in his heart.
Outwardly Neltharion's illusional face betrayed none of his thoughts. Twisted in agony, he'd kept gasping and mewling pitifully. Seeing the leopon lean over him, he made himself react with fright, and swung a weak paw with broken claws at the male's face. "S-stay away! Leave me! Don't...don't hit me again!" He begged with a sob, trying to back up or climb to her feet. The grass he'd been sprawled in was stained dark with blood.
