Wandering was, well, wandering. While some would say he had wanderlust, it was more that he just didn't find anything to keep him in one place. Typically there would be family, but seeing as he woke up to the world without a single person by his side, he was left to his own devices and his own whims. That wasn't to say the idea of family didn't appeal to him and it was precisely this that had lead him more on a search than gallivanting aimlessly without any real expectation. As for the search, well, he wasn't exactly sure what he was looking for, but he knew that he'd know when he found it. Being a god and a young one, he was assured that he had plenty of time not that he was impatient enough to wish it all happened much more quickly. As usual, he found himself in one of the typical areas of the mortal realm. A prairie, as the mortal world was full of them, ample with trees, a waterhole farther off in the distance, and lots of overgrown grass. This particular field had a nice collection of flowers which he was surprised to find, and he found himself walking through the heavy perfumes of dark purple flowers, enjoying the bright display of colors that bounced their petals against his pelt. It was these small things that broke up the monotony of traveling day by day by yourself, but even these small things were losing their charm. As much as flowers were nice and lovely, he was more for living, talking creatures than ones with petals and stems.
Bored, the god started to pluck flowers as he walked and sticking them in his hair, of which he had an abundance.

Lucretia had been eager to get out, she hated having to stay so close to her parents and all the stupid training from her father. She knew how to look after herself and it's not like she needed them to hunt for her or anything.
She was at least allowed a little freedom and of course she was more then happy to wander as far as she could before being called back and today was one of those days. She was sick of her family in all honesty, her fathers domain had caused all of her siblings to have conflicting domains. If there was a family that really couldn't get on it was theirs.
How she ended up where she was she really wasn't sure but then it didn't overly bother her either. It was pretty and free of her siblings and from what she could tell mortals. The male mortals seemed to like following her recently, not for long but some did and it confused her to no end. She didn't like being followed around. Maybe it was luck or chance that she spotted the golden god up ahead. A god was enough to make her smile, they never followed her around!
"Hey!" She called before jumping towards him. He seemed roughly her age and he had such long hair! It was nearly as nice as hers!

As usual, he never expected to spot a god or a goddess for that matter. They usually appeared out of the blue and by now, he should just prepare himself that at any point, he could come across one of his own kind. This time, however, it really was someone of his own kind in that it wasn't a adult. Out of all his immortal encounters, he was usually the youngest. It didn't help when most adults talked down to the younger ones or thought he was a sad thing for being on his own. Others his own age were usually more fun and carefree. In those times, he tried to imagine what a sibling would be like, an thought it would have been a very fun thing to have. As the goddess jumped out of nowhere, he jerked back. Not a hunter, he didn't keep himself at the ready at all times, and he was surprised to have someone just leap out at him. "Ah…" But then he noticed that it was a goddess, and his shock turned up into pleasant surprise. "…hello." The goddess was rather pretty, with long, light-gold hair, and a white pelt. Her dark-brown markings were unusual but flattering to her form. She looked like milk on sand. "I was just thinking how nice it would to meet someone." He always thought that. "Today must be my lucky day. I was growing awfully bored with plants." He plucked he last flower he had in his paw and put it in his hair. "Introductions. Introductions. My name is Khuluma, and to skip from asking the question, I'm the god of Rhetoric." He looked her over and noticed that she was alone. Was she without family too? "Who might you be?"

Lucretia smiled as she seemed to surprise the golden god but she couldn't help but smile more when he talked! He was a chatty god! She hadn't met many of them and trying to keep a conversation going with someone who doesn't want it is terribly hard. At least this would be easy.
"I am Lucretia, goddess of harems." She introduced herself as she usually did and was expecting the question about what a harem was, however she decided to jump in first. "What's rhetoric?" She tilted her head slightly as she asked she hadn't heard that word before. It was also nice to be asking about someone else's domain and not hearing questions about hers, not that he wouldn't but she got there first and it made her happy.
"Are you on your own? Bet your lucky if you are... I wish I could be. Doing whatever I want would be awesome." So she started talking without really waiting for an answer for the last question. She had met a god that talked quite a bit and so it had set her off.

Unbeknownst to Khuluma, he had an effect on people. One that made them talk more, and if they were already social, well oh boy, prepare for some chattiness. This was not a bad thing for the godling who survived on these conversations. The more someone talked, the happier and more energized he was. Having traveled, he faced too many times where there was no one to talk to or, which was worse, finding someone who you had to fight tooth and claw to say just enough to hold a conversation. To find someone who went straight in and started to talk was just his cup of tea, and he felt his tail swish with pleasure at how quickly she went into questioning him.
"Well, Rhetoric is tricky to define." It was odd that he KNEW what it was, as he knew what many things were that were never explained to him, but he always found himself a little tongue-tied when he had to say it. "It's when you want to prove your point to someone else. It's how you talk to prove that point in the best way." That might still make it hard to pick out, but it was the only definition he could give that didn't require them to base their entire conversation on a subject that might bore her.
"Yes, I'm by myself, but lucky? I don't think that's lucky at all. Sure, I can do what I want.." He guessed that was nice. "…but I would rather have someone around. You have a family, right? Now that's lucky." He never had anyone and while he had freedom, he didn't have security and a home. But those were depressing things to talk about. "Why can't you do whatever you want?"

Lucretia tilted her head slightly as she tried to understand what he was asking. Nope she wasn't completely sure what he meant but she had a rough idea and that was good enough for her. At least for now. She just nodded her head in response, paused and then decided it would be a good idea to listen to him again.
"Nah, you can have my siblings if you want. None of us get on, I blame fathers domain for that. Oh and reason I can't do whatever I want is mother doesn't want us wandering off on our own much and father is always wanting to train us though to be honest none of us apart from maybe my sister are really fighters." She explained rather openly. She didn't care much for secrets and though she had met some who never seemed to open up about their families, Lucretia had no issues in the slightest.
"ooo maybe I could go wandering with you! Mother wouldn't mind if I was with someone and then you wouldn't be on your own!" It seemed like a good idea to her, but how would she convince her mother?

Siblings were something he never experienced, and he had a wild fantasy about how fun it would be to have others just like him, different in design to some degree and in personality, but all similar in one way to him. In his mind, they all looked like carbon copies with only different hairstyles or small spots. They'd run, romp, play, and talk for hours into the night. Then, when they grew too tired to speak, they would sleep in a big pile together. It was a nice image and one that pained him to imagine because he could only imagine it.
Pulling himself from his own selfish musings, he looked at Lucretia as being very blessed, but she seemed to think differently. "Training? Fighting? I have never done either and I'm doing fine without it. I don't see any reason to spend all your time training. It's not like any of us gods are at war." He chuckled at the idea. Why would gods need to fight? They were gods!
Her proposal was quick and out of the blue, but he found himself instantly in favor of it. Company? Why yes! "That would be wonderful! I hate traveling by myself. It's awfully boring." –and lonely, sometimes frightening, and sometimes made him sick to his stomach. "I'm sure I can convince the lovely lady that is your mother to let you go with me. Just look at me! I've been traveling and am very experienced in it. It would better than staying at home and doing something you hate." There was also a lot to see and plenty of other mortals and immortals to meet.

Lucretia would have agreed with him that there really wasn't much of a reason to fight or train until he said that gods aren't at war. War and Conflict were the reasons she had to train.
"The god of war is my uncle... it doesn't matter if gods are at war, father who is conflict hates my uncle and so we have to train against everything including war itself." Which to Lucretia sounded rather huge. "Mother doesn't like it, she is the goddess of Femininity and always so much more relaxed then father." Anyway without meaning to Lucretia had told Khuluma a lot about her family though not any names.
"You really think so?" Her eyes lit up as he agreed that her traveling with him would be a good idea. Oh she hoped so much that her mother wouldn't mind, in fact if there was a god to make mothers let their daughters run off - she was praying to it right now.
"Mother is off this way. Generally if I call her she comes rather quickly anyway. Her name is Satomi, in case you need to know." Lucretia smiled again before trotting off in the direction she knew her family to be in.
"MOTHER!" She thought she would at least announce that they were on their way.

Khuluma traveled a lot and met many gods and goddesses. However, he didn't think that Lucretia's mother would be someone he already met once before. The name Femininity jolted him, but before he could even say a word, Lucretia was already running off to fetch her. Oh great. He hadn't made that great of an impression on the goddess the last time he had seen her, and he knew that she might not like the idea of him being around her daughter. While he had been charming and fetching, she didn't think he was that masculine. He didn't know what she was talking about, but it seemed she found something to frown at. He would have to put up his best front of being a manly God in hopes that he could now have a traveling partner. Thing is, he didn't know exactly what was considered manly.
Tossing his hair out of his face, he followed after her. "Lucre –" but the goddess was already calling out for her mother. Sliding up beside the goddess, he looked around, meeting the lioness' pace. Well, time for a second meeting. He wondered if Satomi would be thrilled to see him. He had grown and she did say that when he grew older, he'd know more about being masculine. He hoped he learned enough!

Satomi had heard her daughter call and had turned and ran in that direction as fast as she could. She was a good mother to them but she worried about them. It was challenging being the mother of six godlings that just wouldn't get on.
"Lucretia is everything alright?" It came out as soon as Lucretia came into view. She then noticed the other god beside her and blinked a few times.
"Khuluma isn't it?" She looked at the golden god and then back at Lucretia, then at Khuluma again before giving Lucretia a look to explain what was going on.
Lucretia smiled as her mother came over, worried as always.
"Of course mot... What? You know each other?" She looked at her mother and then Khuluma and then her mother again slightly confused. She then saw the look on her mothers face and decided this would be easier if they already knew each other because they would clearly like each other!
"Mother, I want to go traveling with Khuluma. He says he has been lots of places and is really lonely." Lucretia spoke in her sweetest voice trying to butter her mother up. After all why wouldn't her mother leave her to be company with such a lonely god?

Khuluma appeared before the familiar goddess and he gave her a nod and a smile to show that yes, they knew each other (as far one meeting lead to knowing someone). For Lucretia, he gave her a nod too. "We met once briefly once before, when I was younger." Not that he wasn't still young. "I travel a lot and have met many gods and goddesses. I didn't know Satomi was your mother until you just now told me." And then he had little time to warn her that he already had met her once.
While Khuluma liked to build up to his main point, Lucretia went straight to the throat of the matter and went out with their proposal. It made him wish he had been the only speaker because without supporting the reasons as to why it was a good idea, she was sure to shoot it down. At least he thought so. Lucretia, however, was working on her own maneuver, one that involved a quivering pout and large eyes that both made him take a step back, wondering if she was okay, but also seeing that she was working on the age-old weak spot of sympathy. Cleaver girl. He had to wonder if he could pull off this look with the same effectiveness.
Since he didn't do puppy-eyes, he looked at Satomi in a pleading look. "I'll take very good care of her. I'm very experienced with traveling on my own and know what you should and shouldn't do. Things that you can really only learn through experience, among many other things. I'm sure it will make her very well-rounded to get out and about. I would so appreciate the company and really, two immortals are better than one when traveling. Better she go with someone than by herself." Khuluma glanced at Lucretia, who was still giving her please-please-please look and looked back at Satomi, trying to imitate Lucretia by making his eyes larger. It…really just made him look more surprised than anything else. Lucretia would have to give him pointers.

Satomi just listened while looking from one godling to the other. She knew her youngsters would want to leave her but this soon? She just nodded as she listened and wondered what Tanaka would say and then decided this was something she would choose for their daughter. He had been able to train her so maybe this could be Satomi's part of it.
"Khuluma, you promise to look after her?" Maybe they were lucky that Satomi was getting annoyed with Tanaka as it was working in their favour. She would do this in a way to spite him.
"If you behave yourself Lucretia, you can go. I shall come find you though and make sure you are okay periodically." Satomi wasn't about to let her daughter just go without her. She would miss Lucretia dearly.
Lucretia was getting excited as her mother asked Khuluma a question and then she said yes! She actually said yes!
"Thank you mother! I will miss you so much but thank you!" She could have jumped for joy a hundred times over but she didn't. She just ran to her mother and rubbed along side her.
"I will have to say goodbye to father to!" She then looked to Khuluma and laughed. "I will do that on my own before we leave though." She wasn't sure what her father would have to say about it and he wasn't always the nicest. She didn't want her new friend to be scared off!

She wasn't saying a thing and the tension was working against Khuluma's confidence. If she said no, then it was off trotting the Savannah by himself. He had to convince her some way or another that he was capable and that this was a good idea. "I'll do everything to watch over her, and we'll always stick together – close! It would be a great help to me to have someone around." He needed a new approach.
Ah-ha! "She told me that she's not very happy with all this fighting in your family. It would be a nice to get away from it for a while, wouldn't it? She's already a good fighter with her training so doesn't good work mean that she deserves a bit of a reward?" Rhetorical questions were some of his best weapons. "You know your daughter. I'm sure she's a upright, outstanding young lady. I've only met her and can see this. She won't be getting into any sort of indecent trouble with me. I assure you." Well, as far as any two young godlings could get in trouble, which he was SURE wasn't too much.
Come oooonnn. Say something. Anything! I can't work a argument if I don't know what's on your mind. Why you are hesitating. Just look at me! I'm gorgeous! Clearly someone as beautiful as I am could take care of your daughter. I'm smart! I'm experienced! I'm even her age! He thought all these things as he looked up at Lucretia's mother, feeling his heart start to prickle with nervousness. Nervousness?!

Satomi smiled at Khuluma, he was eager for her to go with him and it would annoy Tanaka. Why would she say no?
"Of course, you can both go. Say goodbye to your father though and we will check on you." She smiled and licked her daughters head before turning to Khuluma.
"For your own safety... keep her safe." She then turned to her daughter said the farewells and turned to go back to her other children.
Lucretia was more then happy to say her goodbyes to her mother and once she had threatened Khuluma and left she turned to the golden god a huge smile on her face.
"She is letting me come! Oh yes!" She literally jumped into the air she was so happy.
"Oh but I have to go see dad, you stay here though, he isn't very nice and erm yeah... better me do this on my own. I will come back soon and then we can go travel the world!" Lucretia was stupidly excited, she knew talking to her father won't be easy but she was allowed to go and she didn't really care about much else.

It was with a great sigh of relief that she agreed to let Lucretia come with him. Horray! While Lucretia didn't have wings, she took a leap that would have made you wonder if she could touch the sky! He was feeling just as energized, and flapped his wings to show that he really was excited to be having someone, anyone, go with him. Traveling alone was a bummer in the end and he spent too many nights wide awake and wondering how nice it would be to have someone to talk to, especially someone his own age. Young immortals were few and far between and most stuck close to their families. It had to be a miracle that Satomi would part with her daughter, entrusting her in his care. True, he didn't ignore the warning that if she so much as got a scratch on her, it would be his head, but he was far too happy to take death threats seriously.
All he wanted to do now was grab the goddess and run off before her mother changed her mind, but now Lucretia had to talk to her father. Bad. If her father butted in and said "no", their plans would be ruined. Boastful, he wanted to go and talk to the father, but was stopped from even trying by Lucretia. With a domain like Conflict, he could only wonder how nice this father of his was, and having Femininity telling him he would be harmed if harm came to Lucretia, he had a pretty good feeling Conflict would not be as kind to him to make that point clear.
"I wish I could convince him, but if you say so. Go and talk with your father." He stepped closer to her, setting a paw on her shoulder. "Good luck. Try and be as convincing as you can. I'd hate it if he said no." He gave her a pat on the shoulder and sat down, plopping himself on the spot. "I'll be right here when you get back." With that, he waited. If everything was A-OK, they would be off. There were so many places he wanted to take her and still new lands he had yet to visit. The world would be there oyster! He just hoped she had the stomach for it.
