Gaga isnt afriad of some gay-bashing protestors.
Gaga posted a note entitled "At the risk of drawing attention to a hateful organization" to her "little monster fans" via her Facebook page addressing the protest by the anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church.
(The church has protested a litany of events – veterans' funerals, football games, political events, and even Michael Jackson's funeral.)
rudely, they even waved their signs outside Gaga's concert at St. Louis' Scottrade Center!
flyers read:
"GOD HATES 'Lady' Gaga",
"quoting Jeremiah 3:3-5,
"under which proud whore Lady Gaga teaches rebellion against God."
It said that as the fashionista singer gives:::
"lip service to 'liberating' her young fans, Lady Gaga brings them into slavery to their own corruption, teaching them to glory in their shame."
"You're Going To Hell," it said in conclusion.
"You pissed off God, you'll see what he's got."
She wrote that
"this group of protesters are hate criminals and preach using lewd and violent language and imagery that I wish I protect you all from. Their message is of hatred and divisiveness, but inside at the Monsterball we preach love and unity."
Although I respect and do not judge anyone for their personal views on any politics or religion, this group in particular to me is violent and dangerous. I wanted to make my fans aware of my views on how to approach, or rather not approach, these kinds of hate activists."
Fans responded enthusiastically to Gaga's message of love not war.
"pay these hate criminals no mind. Do not interact with them, or try to fight, Do not respond to any of their provocation."
In her Facebook note, Lady Gaga said that Westboro's message was "ignorant" and that fans should
"feel gratitude in your heart that you are not burdened or addicted to hate, as they are."
This "church" obviously needs to get a bit more religious and less hypocritical. (yes, i know EVERYONE is a hypocrite, but there are certain degrees to hypocricy)

Wow.. Gaga took this so calmly and well for me this is bullshit of what the church said..
From my opinion I see nothing wrong with being a lesbian, gay, or bisexual.. Our sexual preference isn't something that WE get to choose.. It's all natural and if God created each one of us individually then how come he chose us to be like this?..
I wish I were more like Gaga for how she takes care of all these things.. Hopefully one day the Westboro Baptist Church will realize that Gaga isn't bad like they think she is.. heart

The Westboro Baptist Church is an orgy of self-righteous bible thumpers who use religion to give themselves an excuse to think they're better than everyone. It's shocking that Fred Phelps hasn't died or been assassinated yet.

When I see something like this, it makes me proud to be a Little Monster. She's such a deep person who deserves to be treated by others better than what these religious people try to treat her like.
On another note, has anyone seen the Westboro Baptist Church's version of Poker Face? It is so discriminate and hateful towards Lady Gaga. I noticed that practically all the comments on the video were calling the makers of the videos hateful religious fanatics. biggrin

Then again no one's ever seen a hot cult follower so that makes sense. confused Anyways, she did another song called "Ever Burn", which is a parody of "Telephone". She can't really sing that well, and at times she just stretches it to the point where she sounds like a bad wannabe Broadway star. I'm under the impression that she's a closet fan, because there is no way any person would put this much work into something that they allegedly hate.

This is why it is comforting to see someone like GaGa not giving them the attention and leverage they are desparate for, and advising her fans to do the same is proof that she is a very good role model.

Miss Fiendette Explains how they keep getting so much money. Back in 2007 they were sued for disrupting the burial process of a slain Marine and the suing party got $11 million as part of pay. Apparently Fred Phelps spends somewhere around $200,000 to $500,000 yearly on transportation for all the WBC's protests. Yeah. Sadly, they managed to use their "constitutional freedoms" to turn that court ruling around. Not only did they manage to get the ruling reduced from 11 million to 5 million, they actually managed to get the courts to order the father of that marine(the one who sued them) to pay the church's court costs of over $16,000. Talk about abusing the system, it's people like the WBC that are causing this country to slowly strangle our freedoms from us. Frankly, I really don't get how their children have not been taken away. The government has always been really god at finding even the tiniest most ridiculous reasons for taking children from their parents, why is it so hard to do the same to these people, especially when they have solid evidence of child endangerment, child abuse and child exploitation? Praise GodGa for the day when these people die out due to not being able to reproduce and continue their hateful existence

I just watched that Telephone one and it was stupid. If anyone is going to burn in Hell, it is the people who made that video! I still find it so discouraging how so many religious fanatics can twist religion any way they want. I don't think God would want people to spread hate and act that way.
