Think about this, if Jesus came down to live the perfect live so we would have a perfect example, and if marriage is part of life. Then what if Jesus was married but the name of his wife is hidden so it's not taken in vain? I'm not saying wheter this is true or not because I see how it can be ture but at the same time there really is not much evidence supporting it. So, what do you think Jesus would be like in a marriage?

In his life as a human, it was never recorded that he married anyone during the 33 years of his life.

However, in Revelation it said that God will come down again and the occasion will be so joyous it's as if we're all being married to God. That's about all I know when it comes to "God" and "Marriage" in the same sentence o.o

o btw "us" as in all Christians as one being, so no it's not polygamy XD

I remember somewhere in the bible them saying something for a man/woman to stay unmarried and keep their verginity but it's not a sin to get married, it's not like marrige is a part of EVERYONE'S life so therefore jesus didn't nessissarly get married...

In that time, for a Jewish man, staying unmarried was more or less unheard of and socialy deviant.

If Jesus was living by the laws and methods of the day, and the Jewish laws that existed before the new covenant, then it is more than likely he would have or should have gotten married.

However, there is no evidence, as the only written references to his name beyond scripture is a patchy account of his execution. The Jewish church didn't keep any records of such things, or they don't exist to this day. There is a lot of his life excluded from records, and a lot has possibly been twisted (either you accept Gnostic texts as his word or not; either way his life story has been altered by the other group in your eyes).

I know there's no real evidence to support it but it could still be true. I guess it just depends on if you view the perfect earth life including marriage or not. Just something fun to theorize on.

...
If Jesus married...what kind woman would she be...?

..
.

I still dun think i can imagine that. If Jesus was the perfect "man", wouldn't the woman also have to be perfect in order to have the perfect life and marriage?

...
Yea, imagining Jesus to be perfect is already hard enough on my brain...I dun wanna have to imagine a perfect woman too...>>||

But still, noone knows everything about Jesus's life on earth. I honestly think that we were just given the knowledge that we needed.

Jesus MOST likely didn't get married, because if he did well that'd delete the whole significance of God not realy having 'sex' with Mary and how she was a virgin.

Hebrew scholars would probably tell you in the 'missing piece' to His life he was probably being taught carpentry by His adopted father and maybe going over Jewish Law, because if you don't remember He talked on a very high level to the Pharisees and Sagisees when His parents acciently left Him in the Temple. biggrin

I heard about that, that when he was younger he would have intelectual conversations with church members.

According to Jewish scholars, during the time of Jesus, the Jewish culture found it strange for a Jewish man to be unmarried. I don't believe Jesus was married and I reject the Da Vinci Code claims which has no credibility. Jesus came to earth to save his people from their sins, not to live as an earthly man.

It was unusual in Jesus day for a Rabbi to be unmarried, in fact to become a Rabbi you had to be married. Jesus was not a rabbi, even though his followers did indeed call him teacher. He was not required to be married according to the law, so he was not married. Besides if Jesus was married and had sired offspring. . .we'd have demi-gods.
