She was trying to soak up the last of the suns rays before it set completely. Despite how she might be dark, Candence adored the sun and everything it offered. That's not to say she was in the sun at all times, but if it wasn't too hot, she could usually be found in the grass just sunning herself like she was now.

Her eyes were closed, so she didn't see the male coming, but she did hear him. Her ears twitched and she flipped over onto her stomach; previously sunning one of her sides. Then he spoke, and she opened her eyes to finally see a sunset colored male before her. Only, it took her a moment to realize he was a male. He looked so much like a part of the sky, that she stumbled backward and then saw that it was him.

"V-very.. Sorry, you startled me for a minute..." She gave him a small smile and then settled back in her previous spot, watching him carefully.

There was something about this sunset colored Sukai. Even his name reminded her of a sunset. Candence gave another smile and dipped her head, looking back to the sky. "Candence. I'm Candence." She fell into a lapse of silence, almost as if she didn't hear him. The truth of the matter was she was trying to figure out how to answer his question.

What did she like about the sun? "It helps everything grow. It keeps everything warm. It can put a smile upon someone's face simply looking at it. When rain clouds take over the sky and block the sun, are you not sad? Do you not long for the sun to shine upon your fur once more so you can feel the warmth? The sun... She reminds me of a mother. Nurturing and protective. And yet, there can be too much of a good thing. The sun knows how to punish."

Her face went red when she realized how much she had spoken and then cleared her throat.
