The few days had been tough on her. A cold had set into her lungs and she had been unable to play or train with her siblings. But Orithia was a fighter and with determination, care and a lot of rest she had overcome yet another obstacle in her life. Granted she still felt a bit weak thanks to not eating much yesterday, but Orithia couldn't help it, even time she ate something it came right back up. Stepping out from the den the princess was greeting with a bright day, which cheered her up a bit. Tiny paws carried her a bit of a ways away from the den before giving her muscles a good stretch. Being cooped up in the den for a few days made her sore all over.
Orithia closed her eyes as a gentle cool breeze blew through the den area. Feathers bobbed about in the wind, tickling the back of her neck. Taking a deep relaxing breath she wondered if she would catch up to her sisters in both growth and training. She was still about half of their size and missed a lot of training due to being sick all of the time. But then again, she was the princess. So even that had to make up for her tiny stature right. Opening her eyes once more, Orithia padded over to a nice patch of shade and looked about. Patroclus had been spending the morning with Achilles, enjoying the attention he got from his father. This pack didn't exactly make it easy for him to get individual attention outside of when he was with his father or alone with the packs nanny. Spotting his sister outside of the den Patroclus wagged his tail. He worried about Orithia often, she was usually sick most days and he wanted to protect his eldest sister - all of his sisters for that matter. But there was little he could do to comfort her when sickness took over.
Running forward Patroclus jumped towards her, landing near by Orithia but not too close as to hurt her. He smiled widely at her for a moment then sat down. "Feeling better?" He asked, though he knew she was, for why else would she be out of the den.

Eleos had been napping in the sunshine outside the den when her brother words had woken her up. Cracking one sleepy eye and giving a big yawn Eleos rose to her feet stretching her limbs thoroughly before padding towards her older - but small sister and only brother. "It's good to see you out and about!" She told Orithia in a bright voice. "Maybe you can even come to lesson's today!" She continued knowing that her sister sometimes felt bad about missing out on her training. Watching this rather touching - and sickening display Enyo snorted slightly to herself. What a sick joke her sister was - the supposed 'princess' was as weak and frail asa twig. honestly it would be better if she just sickened and died completely...then she could become princess and the packs future would be secure.
In fact that was pretty much Enyo's favorite dream and one she indulged herself in often. Sauntering over to her siblings she gave them both a disparaging look. "Why should she bother? She's just going to get sick again and miss the next one. Complete waste of time"

Hippolyta both approved of and enjoyed pups of any gender, but what with the pack and her duty as a warrior taking up so much of her time she had little time to think of a family of her own. What little free time she had tended to go to rest. Thankfully, she had put all thoughts of the past behind her, and was only reminded of it rarely, and even more rarely with the same level of sadness she it used to give her. She had found that within the pack she was good at directing others, but had little desire to be a leader. Penthesilea was a good queen, and Pol was content with that. Since the queen's pregnancy, however, she'd had more responsibility handed to her, and had worked more with Thealia than she probably wanted to.
However, the queen had not only birthed a large litter, but one of mostly girls, along with the single boy who went to increasing the strength of their submissives' population. A perfect litter. Thinking a litter of all girls was perfect would be foolish. There had to be some variation in their breeding population as well, because the males played a crucial role in the pack as well. This boon of pups to their steadily growing pack could be left to the others. Hippolyta had no interest in breeding with any of the males they had, and no time to consider taking Thealia's option of going outside the pack for a fling. Even assuming she could find a suitable male for the role.
However, when Pol stopped by the queen's den to ask her about how to proceed with one of their new recruits, she was instead met with most of Penthesilea's daughters and their brother.
"Good afternoon, princess and little warriors" she greeted, then looked at Patroclus. "And little male as well. Is your mother at home?"
If she wasn't, Pol was beginning to wonder where the pupsitter was. That might require a talk.

Orithia smiled at her brother as her bounced beside her. "Yes, I am." She told him with a nod. Patroclus may not fit in all that well being a male but it did warm her heart to know that he cared enough about her to ask these things. But her attention turned as both Eleos and Enyo joined them. "I do hope I can, if mother says I'm fit to." But her smile then faded as Enyo spoke. Orithia wasn't a very hateful pup, but sometimes Enyo could be downright mean. "It's not a waste of time!" She nearly yelled at her sister, whom was next in line should anything happen to her, fur bristling.
She would have said more, wanted to but one of her mothers loyal warrior walked in on them. "Good afternoon warrior Hippolyta." Orithia said, sitting up a bit straighter now. "Mother is talking with Varia about today's training." She motioned with her muzzle towards the pair that were at the far side of the dens.
Patroclus wanted so badly to protect Orithia from Enyo. Of all his sisters Enyo was by far the meanest, he didn't care if she picked on him, but he should go easy on Orithia. When Pol came in Patroclus immediately ducked his head, tail tucking in close to his body. "Greetings sister." He said quietly. Father may not like him acting submissive all the time but he had to do so in the presence of the sisters. When it was just him and his father away from the pack he could be as unsubmissive as he wanted to be. Patroclus knew his place well.

Hippolyta smiled at Patroclus and then followed Orithia's motion with her eyes, watching Pen and Varia for a moment.
"Well, my business can wait until your mother has finished with Varia." She sat down and surveyed the pups below her. But for Orithia, the pups were strong, and there was no reason to think Orithia wouldn't outgrow her "delicate" phase. Many pups were easily sickened and grew to be strong, contributing adults. "Until then, I can quiz you. How have your lessons been faring?"
She started with the girls, but she kept her peripheral vision on Patroclus, trying to gauge him as well. The girls she saw occasionally, but when Patroclus wasn't learning with the males, he was off with his father being taught sky only knew what. Hippolyta was glad the Queen had a consort and not a variety of slaves, but Achilles-- especially with how he had met the Queen in the first place-- worried her sometimes. He was not a male used to their pack structure, and certainly was not a submissive. Non-submissive males caused trouble sometimes. And yet there was something distinctly... masculine about him that was appealing. It was, altogether, extremely disconcerting. She preferred not to think about it too often.

Asteria, watching from the sidelines, rolled her eyes at Enyo's comment. To her, it was almost sad the way she bickered and put down their mother's heir. "Well, maybe if you'd deign to help her as you should do a sister she might have an easier time catching up?" she said, her tone carefully neutral as she pulled her feather-bedecked body into view. She liked watching from a bit away - she was not the heir apparent, so wasn't watched as carefully, but also enjoyed the beneficence of being her mother's daughter - and so, she thought, more able to boss around her mother's subordinates. Or, at least, have their willing compliance so long as she wasn't doing anything rash.
Asteria surveyed her sisters, her brother and Hippolyta. The red female had good standing, was a fine example, she'd been told. "Greetings, warrior" she said. It was a tad self-important for her to greet her in that way, she knew, as if she was an adult herself, but she also knew she'd likely get away with it. She smiled, ingratiatingly.
The idea of a quiz intrigued her - physical exercise and training was all and well, but Asteria liked tactics, and she eagerly joined in with the lesson.
(( Sorry for the delay in jumping in D8 ))

Eleos knew she ought to be respectful when the red warrior joined them but being the type of pup she was her tail wagged with enthusiasm and she greeted her in a bright voice rather then the quiet respectful tone her sisters managed to use "Hippolyta! They are going to teach us something important today and Orithia is feeling well enough to hopefully come and a quiz would be great! mother would be so proud of we surprised her with knowing things!" She told the red wolf in a hurried voice - and seemingly all without taking a breath.
Enyo snorted slightly but she was at least smart enough to hold her tongue and keep from telling her sister anything more when Hippolyta appeared. "Good afternoon Warrior" She mimicked her sisters words in greeting before reaching out with a paw to slap her brother on the top of the head - as though he ought to have lowered it more then he had. Ungrateful beast...he ought to be groveling on the ground right now if he knew what was good for him.
