So I just noticed that we have TONS of introductions from new members and I've personally accepted a number of new members that seemed really interested. Where are they all?? My concern is that they feel as I sometimes do in new forums: This is a clique and I'm not welcome. I know that none of us do anything to make it seem unwelcoming (unlike some threads I've been in where new people are completely ignored.) but I wonder if there's something we can do to make it more welcoming? So perhaps new people aren't feeling so shy?
I would LOVE feedback from everyone. That includes newbies and oldbies!
~Did you feel welcome and comfortable?
~What did we do or not do that made you come back?
~What improvements do you want to see?

...We are all granted wings... I'm glad you mentioned this because I've accepted a handful of people lately too, but I hardly see them... and they don't post in the introduction forum either... So I wonder where they went too. >_> o_o <_< Where are you~ all? ...But we must wait for the opportunity to fly...

THIS HAPPENS SO MUCH, ID BE ACCEPTING PEOPLE FOR THE H!P GUILD, AND PEOPLE ARE LIKE "yeah i'll post." its really stupid cuz im like "make sure to post" : ) i think its a matter of "im a member, so nao im cool," but really, its not.
to answer the questions though~
~When it comes to guilds, i think its like a little planet or something. Everyone who is active before or posted is usually known, whereas when youre new you have to find where you fit :9 & at that, you gotta know what kind of impression you want to put on everybody, people are unconciously being like "hmm is this cool?" even if they dont care about being cool. & if youre not cool, its like wow, ive been rejected by people i dont even know xDD So almost always, beginnings will be uncomfortable on different levels just everyones has got to try their hardest on level of comfort. I felt welcomed when i came way back when... sorta xD
~What made me leave was the tinierme thread xD and tinierme led me to facebook!!! but i always lurk every nao and then, its surprising how lazy i am when it is to typing nao :3
~iunno, old thread revival? those kinda things people always feel like posting but dont want to bring back old newss. otherwise i left for awhile, so i wouldnt know.

Well I'll try to speak from a new member's point of view?
It is kinda hard to post in the a new forum because you can already tell the relationships between people are set up. I've posted a few times here but most of the time I feel like my posts are past over.
Plus, most people that join find it more interesting to read and look around than participate. So that's probably why there are more people joining than posting. It's hard to just jump in. Introductions are great but after that most people are left with, "Uh...so what do I do next?"
As for what to do about it...I'm not sure. I would think just replying in general would make them feel more welcomed. After that though it's really up to them if they want to post or not.

P.M me asap and I will give you a massive idea to keep activity and moral up but it can only happen to the top person who donates, poster, etc once a month.
