It was a warm day, the sun beating down on the plain. Lemon and Scirocco napped under the only tree in the field, Lemon's head on Scirocco's shoulder, his knees tucked up against his chest. A curious thing happened, every time Scirocco breathed; the wind would push away from him, shaking the tree's leaves. When he inhaled, the wind blew the other way, rustling the leaves again. A very curious sight. The brothers were both exhausted after installing a new musical instrument; a building made not of wood, this time, but of cloth, with thin metal discs sewn in. Together, they were truly an imaginative and innovative pair. It was almost adorable, watching them sleep peacefully together, until one of Scirocco's eyes slitted open, then the other, and he stared at his brother.
"Brother mine, you are beginning to drool on my shoulder again." Scirocco winced, mourning the loss of another dry sleeve. He hated being drooled on, and yet, his brother was always so .. disgusting. Not like Scirocco; his winds kept him cool. Lemon didn't stir, but babbled incoherently and drooled a little more, one of his knees falling over and smacking Scirocco's thigh. Scirocco grimaced. His brother really was not very graceful, either. "However dear you are to me, I would really prefer it if you...woke up," Scirocco said, emphasizing the last two words as he gently pushed his brother off his shoulder. Lemon was tipping, tipping, and suddenly sprawled on the grass.
"Hey! You! What was that for? I knew that was really how you felt about me!" Lemon cast him a hurt look and brushed his clothing off, getting to his feet.
"Ah, please don't misunderstand me, I was simply uncomfortable, because you were drooling on me, brother mine." Scirocco was clearly flustered, and Lemon was simply enjoying himself pretending to be hurt. Their voices would probably carry pretty far, while they argued, given the flat nature of the land.

Fresh green tendrils sprouted from small stems and tickled the twilif's fingers, large blossoms opening up to greet the glorious sunlight Lilith couldn't believe the plant had been missing. The tiny vines wrapped about her fingers and she giggled softly, the sound to gentle and quiet to travel by wind. "There you are little bud...isn't the sunlight wonderful?"
Lilith wasn't sure why plants seemed to respond to her...her source of magic she supposed. Or Maybe...maybe it was because she rarely spoke to visited others of her own kind. The tiny twilif was far more acquainted with the subtle language of the shifting petals and arching leaves then that of moonfolk. Although..."I wonder what Corwin is up to..." She pouted, the corners of her lips drooping slightly causing the petals of the plant she was coaxing to do the same. She had only spoken with him a ew times...but she wondered what life in general would be like if she reached out to others more. Sure...there were a lot...and when she means a lot she means a massive and down right dominant percentage of bad and scary things out there; but...what good was she missing?
She sighed lightly in the strange wind, her hair blowing about with it as she laid in the tall grass of the plain. Her eyes suddenly widened as she not only heard something in the wind...but two somethings. Voices. Oh my...she had been certain that there was no one around before. Her hands naturally reached out to grip her long braid, clutching it tightly to her chest as if it made her feel safer to do so. It was two male voices...and they weren't too far away.
Closing her eyes, Lilith imagined herself invisible by habit before giving the flower one last comforting pet and preparing to flee the now crowded plain. Standing, she was partially hidden by the grass, her size small enough, yet her pale skin and dark hair contrasted the flora horribly. It was almost funny to watch the twilif move about as if sneaking while she stuck out like a sore thumb.

Lemon was stalking away down the plains, his head held high. He made an obnoxious humming sound to drown out his brother's protests. "If you don't want me around, I can take a hint, Scir! I'm going, going, gone! Don't try to write, don't try to find me! I'll wander around this field forever, nursing the pieces of my broken heart--"
"You are being completely, utterly and totally intolerable, dear brother! Return this instant, would you! I'm sorry I disturbed you, but my shoulder gets uncomfortably cold when covered in your drool," Scirocco answered after him, using the wind to carry his voice to Lemon so that he didn't have to shout like his less dignified brother. Scirocco crossed his arms and regarded his brother with a sigh. Finally, a little smile, although Lemon couldn't see it, since he was stalking away, still. His brother was so determined, Scirocco couldn't help but think about how silly he was being. Lemon just wanted to start trouble, really.
Lemon turned around to face his brother and started to walk backwards through the field while calling back at him. "I wouldn't be so difficult if you were just a little nicer to me! It's never about my feelings, always about yours!" Lemon pretended to sob, dramatically pressing the back of his wrist against his forehead, as if grieving some heinous crime.
And then he tripped over the Twilif, whom he actually hadn't seen sneaking around, due to his argument with Scir. Scirocco caught him with his wind at the last second, easing his fall, but he was nowhere near close enough to prevent it. Lemon lay there, kind of dazed and sprawled in the grass. Scirocco walked over, looked at Lemon, and then addressed the Twilif. "My brother did not hurt you, did he?"
"Scir! Come on! You don't even ask how I'm feeling? Why do you hate me so much." Lemon closed his eyes and pretended he was dead. Scirocco just sighed and shook his head.

Tall grass waving and crunching beneath her, Lilith turned to see if the others had noticed her. Gaze scanning quickly, she caught her breath as one was no longer by the tree. Biting her lip as she realized that the constellation with rather bright hair was moving directly towards her, Lilith turned about quickly. She tried to move faster, her feet padding on the grass harder than before. The objection to making noise easily being overridden by her desire of social escape.
It wasn't any use though. Lilith's short legs and gentle stride was nothing compared to the rather upset Constellation who didn't seem to notice her at all. After one last desperate scramble, Lilith slipped on a particularly unfair patch of grass as the constellation came tumbling down on top of her.
Letting out a muffled and half grunted squeak, Lilith pulled herself out from under him and scuttled away a few feet. "oh I-I'm sorry I..I tried to leave so I didn't...and...he was just so fast and determined and...w-why is he laying like...is he okay!?" Panting gently in the realization that someone had just fallen on her, Lilith clung to her braid. One hand releasing it only to nurse and rub her scuffed knee gently. Trying to call herself, she managed to look up at the one actually addressing her completely flushed and horrified that she had hurt the other. "I'm fine...but...I think I hurt him. I'm sorry."

"You say you're fine, but your knee...?" Scirocco gestured towards Lilith's knee, and walked over to nudge Lemon with his foot. "He's quite well, just a little ridiculous," Scirocco added. Lemon groaned and rolled over. He looked as though he was about to nap.
"Brother mine?"
"Go away, Scir."
"As you desire. I just thought perhaps you would be upset if you realized how much grass you were getting all over yourself." Scirocco couldn't help but grin as Lemon grumbled and picked himself up off the ground. As a courtesy to his irritating brother, Scirocco swept his winds across him, cleaning off the bits of dead grass which clung to his clothing and hair. "Better?" Scir whispered.
"Much, thanks," Lemon grinned. He was already over whatever imagined slight his brother had committed against him. Abruptly, he turned to the Twilif, and started rambling excitedly. "Sorry I smashed into you! I'm Lemon, and that's my brother Scir. He's crazy, not to be trusted in the least! What are you doing out here, anyway?" He pushed all of those thoughts out at once, smiling at the Twilif. He really didn't know how to act around them, but he was putting forth an effort to be as normal as possible, minus the shameless flirting.

Lilith watched and listened in silence as the calmer constellation addressed her and then his brother. How the two of them could possibly be brothers was beyond her...but she'd read of stranger families. Yes, only read. Lilith had never actually gotten herself stuck with two moonfolk before, much less two moonfolk who would probably be heading in the same direction and were therefore less likely to split up and leave her be as they took their separate ways.
Biting her lip, she looked back down to her knee and rubbed it trying not to wince at the pain. Perhaps if she was able get up without showing any pain they would let her slip away? Leaning on her other leg and using her arms and braid for balance she took a few limped steps away the two. Her scuffed knee bruising and making her pale skin look a gradient of blues. About to utter her poorly worded escape, Lilith jumped at Lemon's abrupt greeting and then fell back down to the grass, a few flower petals landing atop her head.
Her eyes wide she looked between the two of them as Lemon called the calm and sincere on crazy and not to be trusted. Perhaps they were both sketchy and she just didn't know it? "I...no i-its all right really." her soft voice squeaked out. "He...d-doesn't seem crazy and...and I was just t-talking to the flowers." She blushed lightly, the color spreading across her cheeks as she pulled some hair in front of her face.
