Name: Shiri Pangari Nicknames: None Approximate Age: 18 Date of Birth: February 20th Prophet of: Eros Rank: Newbie Occupation: None. Personality: Shiri is very kind. She likes cheering up people or letting them know that they’re loved for just being there, even if she’s just met someone. She’d give someone the shirt off her back if needed, and is always there to be a shoulder to cry on, a person to vent to, or even just someone to chill out with. Just don’t expect any coherent advice. Shiri is very much lost in the clouds, in her own little world. She’ll look at you, but she’ll be miles away. This makes her very gullible and very, very forgetful. Likes: Cookies, Cuddly Things, FRIENDSHIP YAY.Dislikes: Confrontation, Teasing, Meanie-faces. )<Powers: Power One- Let’s be Good Children and Settle Down. Shiri emanates a calming presence, ensuring that tempers won’t get riled up when she’s around, dispelling all but the greatest tension in the air. Power Two-Sniper. Shiri is a great archer. Hand her a bow and some arrows, and you’ll get a skewered whatever-ma-bob. Appearance: Hair: Red-orange hair, straight and just past her shoulders. Eyes: They are wide and reddish-brown. However, she is slowly losing her sight, so she has ill-fitting glasses that aren’t of a strong enough prescription. Face: Her face is heart-shaped, and she usually has a small, dreamy smile to her face. Body type: Shiri is awkwardly tall for a girl (5’ 11”) and rather thin, which makes her appear even taller. This is all due to a wonderfully fast metabolism and she gives off the appearance that she’ll grow into herself yet. Even so, she's quite well-endowed and slightly curvaceous. She also has the very slightest of growths under her skin from her shoulder blades, which are barely noticeable, but hurt her occasionally. Fashion sense: If it’s red, white, or pink, Shiri will wear it. She’s also a fan of layering clothing, often in strange and/or counterproductive ways. Accessories: Shiri has a carved bow and a few practice arrows left from her archery lessons. Her item is a golden archer’s glove on her right hand. She also has a small brace for her left wrist to protect it while she’s off arrowing. She also has a golden love knot (aka Knot of Hercules) ring on her right pinkie.

Eros's ProfileEros is cited as Greek God of Sexual Desire, a function that has filtered down to the less explicitly raunchy God of Love. His Roman counterpart is Cupid. He is said to have been born of the nothingness that first existed in the universe, though he is often billed as the son or companion of Aphrodite. He had a bow and arrows of two varieties: one type made of gold to incite love and the other made of lead which caused repulsion or hatred. Edith Hamilton says that Plato “Love—Eros—makes his home in men’s hearts, but not in every heart, for where there is hardness, he departs. His greatest glory is that he cannot do wrong nor allow it; force never comes near him. For all men serve him of their own free will. And he whom Love touches not walks in darkness.” Edith Hamilton also “In the earliest stories, he is oftenest a beautiful, serious youth who gives good gifts to men.” Another major myth speaks of how, enamored with a mortal whom Aphrodite saw as her enemy, Eros dared the wrath of the goddess he called “Mother” to make the woman, Psyche, his wife. He forbade her to look upon him and came to her only at night, for fear that Aphrodite would discover them. Psyche, a time after their wedding, was induced into seeing him with her own eyes, tricked by her jealous sisters into thinking that he was actually a monster, wishing to devour her and their unborn child. When she revealed his identity as a god, she was overcome with such shame (that she could doubt her husband) and desire (because her husband was a god), she bent to kiss him. Her lamp spilled hot wax upon his shoulder and he awoke. Heartbroken that she could not be content, he cried out (rather melodramatically, even he admits), “Love cannot live where there is no trust” and left Psyche in the valley where their rich palace had been, bereft of both her husband and her material gifts. Here, the myths split. It is said, in one version, that, because of her innate goodness, and honest desire for repentance, Psyche was helped to find Aphrodite and to accomplish the cruel tasks the goddess assigned her in order to win her husband back. Another version leaves her, like Eros, in that field, the completeness of tragedy in no second chances to serve as a warning. Yet a third says that she never knew the name of her husband-god and ran through the lands, searching for him, asking, “Who was he?” Later, she only had strength to ask “Who?” Finally the gods turned her into an owl, to search the night for him, to still ask for his name, longing for fruition or death. Only Eros can say which is true, and any version highlights a selfishness that he hopes to have outgrown. Only he can say if he has.

Relationships
Family: Istra and Lerato-The misplaced Salvager hippies who are the co-heads of the Pangari family, they have a tendency to take in strays and offer non sequitur wisodm. It's easy to see where Shiri's mental functions come from.
Mary Jane-Eldest Pangari daughter, and first to be adopted. Though snippy, snooty, and a bit of a smart a**, she's also very smart and financially savvy. She's in charge of selling the "junk" her parents find.
Celie-Second oldest, but adopted after Shiri's birth, Celie is Mary Jane's plump shadow. Painfully insecure and not the brightest tool in the crayon box (and belonging in the house as much as any of those do in the context), she adores her older sister, doing her bidding whenever Mary Jane asks. As a general rule, both sisters look upon Shiri with, at worst, outright hate, and, at best, indifferent contempt.
They're...gone.
Other Godlings: Fish: He was very…conflicted when I met him. I hope he’s okay. Keahi: I need to give him a cookie next time I see him. Persy: I haven’t seen her in so long, but somehow I know she will be as pretty as ever. Diogenes: I also haven’t seen him. I don’t remember if he was on the boat…Mmm….Don’t remember much about that boat ride either….
