Truth will always be found, it may be a hard journey, but in the end, the truth always prevails. The Great Detective Wystan lived by that statement. He searched for the truth and in turn always told the truth. In all his quests, he has unveiled many mysteries that surround many of the regions, and he could remember each and every one of them: the ancient Kawani ruins in the mist covered mountain, the ruins of gold in the wheat field, and the crystals in the caves.

The grey bodied Soquili wandered, he was between cases and looking for something to solve, to discover, to unveil. The forest was warm, sunlight filtered through the tick branches of the trees to dance on the overgrown forest floor. His red and gold wings stretched far on his back, loving the feeling of the breeze through the feathers. They wanted to take flight, but the Angeni held them back. When the detective flew, it was harder to see the tiniest of clues, and everyone knows that the tiniest of clues are the ones that make or break a case.

Ahead of the winged stallion a river carved its course into the land; water rushing down toward the mouth, out into the blue salty sea. Wystan walked to the river to take a drink; his head went toward the water and he drank from the cold snowmelt river. When he was done, the stallion looked at his reflection. Icy blue eyes stared back, each of the eyes revealed a red tear marking that made it seem like the stallion was bleeding tears.

Wystan shook his head and looked up from the mirror like qualities of the water. There were no mysteries to solve, there were no questions to ask; perhaps today would be one of those days, when there was nothing but peace.

Not too far away from the river, a small cerynei followed the wood line. She had no reason to even be around here, she was simply wandering the new land. Norika had no place in mind, she just let her feet take her wherever they pleased. That sounded like most of her actions, just doing whatever while she had no real say.

As the mare walked, her brown and green toned fur hid her well in the back drop of trees. Which was just the way she liked it. She was what one would consider a wall flower, though she wouldn't even consider herself a 'flower.' She felt more like a tree than a flower, more steady and less likely to break. It didn't really matter though, she didn't know of anyone who would even consider her thoughts to be anything.

Heaving a small sigh, she made her way towards the river. Her bright red eyes scanned the area, she didn't see anyone, but she was still a ways away from the river. Stepping out away from the woods, a small chill ran down her spine. Being out in the open gave her the chills, and that was a feeling she never enjoyed. It wasn't like she needed a reason to hide.

A cloudless blue sky hung over the angeni’s head as he stayed by the river; he could see the blue reflected off the cold waters of the river. The sky was beckoning to him, asking him to spread his wings and fly into the never ending sea of blue; Wystan suppressed the urge. It had been awhile since he had taken flight and it would be a while more. Even though he was not currently on a quest for a mystery, he always wanted to be close to the ground where he may see clues.

Wystan continued to walk down the river bank, his red hooves squishing in the soft dirt and his long fluffy hooves dragging in the mud or river clay. As he looked to the other bank of the river, the Angeni noticed a speck out of the corner of his eye; it was a mare who matched the color of stone. She had emerged from the dense forest behind her; Wystan turned his head to look at the mare as she left the safety of the woods. Her movements seemed cautious, like she was expecting something to happen. The Angeni closed his eyes and listened to the area around the two soquili, nothing seemed to be lurking in the bushes. Wystan pondered to himself what she was waiting for;

‘Should I go and ask? Or should I just wait and learn from my observations?’ Curiosity always won Wystan over; slowly he made his way to the mare, each step was distinct.
