((This RP is open to all of the eevee family members. If you won an eevee from Kir's event and you want yours to be in the family, PM me and/or post here ^^ There is no posting order but try to keep it from getting too chaotic xD ))Xiao-xing sat upon a log, her back straight and her ears back as she surveyed her surroundings. It was early, the sun had just risen, and she was the first up, as usual. She wasn't completely sure where her siblings were, but she didn't particularly care either. Sure, she wanted them to be safe but she was fairly sure they could take care of themselves. No need to be overbearing or too emotional about it.
Then again she was never emotional about anything.
She flicked an ear as she heard a bird chirping not too far away, glancing at it and wondering for a moment if it was worth it to attempt to catch it, but no... It was an adult bird. She rarely went after prey like that. The babies were much easier to kill. Adults were far too alert and quick for a young fox such as herself.
With the bird suddenly pushed out of her mind, Xiao returned to her unmoving position with her usual stoic look. She was waiting for something to happen, but just what that was... She wasn't sure yet.

POUNCE!Leaping through the air, Teleza attempted to catch the adult bird that her sister had had been gazing at. Failure. Her chin grazed the ground when she missed her pray. She pinned her ears in detest as dirt coated her tongue she had had outstretch in a weird version of balance help. "Xinggggg... I can't catch anything! I can't even get BABY birds..." Teleza's dirt covered nose faced her pink eyed sister's direction as she whined hopelessly.

Xiao didn't even flinch as her sister went flying past. It wasn't that she hadn't been startled or surprised, it's just that she realized exactly what was going on and didn't particularly care. She continued to stare into the distance for a few moments before responding to her sister's complaints.
"Well not like that of course, Teleza." Her voice was rather monotone. She didn't even turn to face Teleza as she spoke. "You are far too loud and obvious when you hunt." It wasn't meant as an insult, simply a state of fact. Xiao was always blunt, no matter who she was talking to. That included her nearly-identical siblings, all of whom shared the same markings and only slightly varied shades of brown. The only real difference in appearance there was between any of them was their eyes. If one were to see them all sleeping, it would be near impossible to tell them apart.
Awake, however... That was another story.
"Patience is the key to hunting. You must move slowly, quietly, and deliberately. When close enough you can pounce, but only then." She stated, finally turning her head to look at Teleza. "I'm sure you will improve with time."

Xiao-de-Huo'li walked up to his two sisters looking at Teleza "Trying to hunt again Teleza?" Huo'li said with a stuck up tone. "I can hunt anything successfully if I put my mind to it." This being the down side to Huo'li is that he thinks he can do anything and everything, if stated otherwise he will find a way to do it. "Hey Xiao." he said with a half smile.

"Hello, Li." Xiao finally turned to fully face her siblings, now that there were two of them. She had previously had the faint hope that they would leave her alone, but she knew it was unlikely at this point. Oh well. It is what it is.
"You are overly confident in your abilities, brother." She glanced from him to Teleza and shook her head. "Your attempts are as clumsy as hers. You simply have more determination." There was a difference between being talented and being stubborn, in her mind. Li was simply stubborn. Xiao had no illusions about herself being a talented hunter either, however she did have one quality that helped in that regard; patience. She could hide in wait of the right prey for days if needed, leaving only if she needed water. Xiao was not strong or fast, but she was clever and endlessly patient.
"Perhaps you should teach Teleza how to be as determined as yourself." She offered, still no emotion in her voice. "Or perhaps you should simply practice on easier prey. Try something land-bound, like a rat, before you attempt to capture a flying beast."

"But the flying ones are more fun Xiao." Li said challengingly. "And who ever said over confidence was a bad thing huh? Besides I'll hunt whatever I want to survive, the birds are just entertainment." Li looked back over at Teleza "I guess I could help a little if you want it Teleza."
