Stage 2: Description and Rules

Welcome the the Second Stage of the Chuunin Exams!

You've all obviously made it this far and you've proved yourself to be ready for the next part! You're going to need all of your cunning and skill for this next section, which is the last part before the 1 on 1 battles. Failure to complete the steps outlined in this part of the exam however, will fail to advance you to the next round. So with that rolling around in the back of your minds, Stage 2 of the Chuunin Exams is............

A SCAVENGER HUNT!!!

THAT'S RIGHT EVERYONE! Who's ready for some fun eh? Don't worry though, this isn't your standard scavenger hunt... it is in fact, something much more in depth. Here's how this will go...

Myself and another Mod (namely, Deil)... have created a series of riddles which will act as clues which will guide the 4 teams of 3 ninja each to a series of Artifacts which need to be collected and returned to your camp before the allotted time, which will be a total of 2 weeks. Every clue will lead you to one specific Artifact, and will guide you either to the artifact directly, or will ask you to perform an action, at which point a Jounin will appear and hand the artifact to you. Many of these artifacts have hidden powers within them as well, so be prepared to think on your feet and use the items to your greatest ability.

Where are the artifacts you ask? EVERYWHERE!

Scattered across all 5 of the Great Nations and the Surrounding Countries!!!

That's right my young Genin, you're going to be traveling out into the world chasing down artifacts in locations you THINK/HOPE are the answers to the riddles. And who will your trusty comrades be? COMPLETE STRANGERS!... in the form of other contestants which you may or may not already know!

Each team will be given a bag to collect the relics in ,along with a secret scroll which will update daily based on the artifacts still not yet obtained. Also, each team will be assigned a campsite on Nagi island where they can strategize with their teammates before the event begins. Don't worry though, we've set up the camps to be an absolute safe area, meaning no one will be able to enter your camp, or hear anything which takes place within it, except for the members of that particular team. So hike on your gear and get over to your respective camps!... your Journey begins Tomorrow, which is when the Clue list will be released.

The Rules

Here are the hard and fast rules for the exam. Obviously, aside from what is specifically written here, it goes without saying that trying to find loopholes or other abuses of the rule set will not be tolerated. Mods will be on the watch for illegal activity, so don't try to subvert the rules, or you'll risk getting your team disqualified. Beyond these rules however, there are no other rules, so use this to your advantage in getting your artifacts.

Rule #1: In order for your team to pass the Second Stage, you need to successfully return 5 artifacts to your camp by the end of two weeks.

Rule #2: Teams must stay together, there will be no splitting up.

Rule #3: When traveling between nations, you must include your travel posts (at least 1 per RPC when traveling internationally between areas)

Rule #4: No outside RPCs are allowed to interfere or help with the exams. If you are seen doing this in your posts, you will receive a warning. After the warning, on a second offense, you will be disqualified (the entire team).

Rule #5: Teams are only allowed to obtain 1 artifact per day. The group can travel to the next area, and obtain lodging/camp out where they think they need to be, but they cannot obtain the artifact until the next day.

Rule #6: Teams are not allowed to obtain more then 5 artifacts. If you do, a Jounin will appear and take a random artifact from you and it will be placed back on the list.

Rule #7: Artifacts are absolutely indestructible.


Special Note: Handling Inactivity

I have tried very hard to both effectively randomize the teams, yet place at least 1-2 active posters in each team. However, in the event that one or more team members are not active (You posted, and they have failed to post back in that same day), you may feel free to drag the inactive characters around with you. You can't use their character's abilities/jutsu, but you can have them follow you and employ basic Taijutsu tactics, or maybe have them carry your artifacts.

If they have been inactive for more then a day, you can continue to drag them around in subsequent days until they post themselves. (However, a warning to ANYONE who is inactive... if you are inactive for too long, I will consider cutting you from the Third Stage of the Exams, even if your team successfully obtained all 5 artifacts.)
