First off, this is a semi-reality RP, so if you came here wanting to be a purple raptor who throws fireballs at floating midgets, and has a part-time job as a zeppelin pilot, you best be on your way out.
Props to Yvansi for the beautiful name.
The Uschenbergh Strain

In 1948, a microbiologist named Ulrich Uschenbergh discovered a parasite with a sole purpose to infect and takes over larger organisms. The parasite enters its host one of two ways: it can take control of a lesser organism, which is consumed by the new host, or it can bite into the new host and send a new parasite directly into the bloodstream. It takes the parasite roughly 3-5 minutes to control its host upon infection. To take control, the parasite binds itself to the brain of the host, but in order to prevent rejection, the parasite severs the most sensitive nerves, so sight, smell, and feeling are no more. However, just as a healthy, non-infected organism would do if it were to lose its sight, the infected host develops keen hearing. The parasite needs nothing more than the brain to survive. This parasite is known as the Uschenbergh Strain, and it is estimated that 60% of the world's human population is infected with it. However, the human brain is far more complex than that of a mouse or a cat, both of which would be no trouble for the Uschenbergh Strain, but it is not advanced enough to control a human. Yet.
The present day is July 27th, 2010 and everyone has decided to meet up at the Pennington Square Mall in Tulsa, Oklahoma for a one-week-get-together. The population of this city is estimated to be around 600,000. More than half of them will be taken over during the first five hours. For the non-infected, most will be infected in the first day. And for the survivors, it is truly the end of the world.
Fun facts about the zombies
The zombies are blind.
They have sharp hearing, so if you yell, you better be a master of getaways, or hide-and-seek.
The infected won't bleed to death, and are only stopped by taking out the brain.
The zombies can't climb over obstacles that are above shoulder-level. *They can walk up stairs*
Despite being "dead," they are immensely strong. A barricade made of boards and nails will not last a night.
The longer the parasite is in control, the more familiar it becomes with its host, thus improving movement and speed.

Character Skeleton
Username:
Name: (Actual name)
Age: (Actual age)
Weight: (Actual weight)
Height: (Actual Height)
Brief Description: (Appearance, bio is optional)
Special Talent: (Something realistic)
Three things about the skeletons:
1. Model it after yourself, so I don't expect to see any military bad asses in here.
2. The talents must be realistic, but don't have to be 100% accurate. (Example: Mine will be driving, yet I haven't driven a day in my life.)
3. PM your skeletons to me, so that I can place them all on the first page.
Also, Yvansi or myself will announce the initial infection, so don't go jumping the gun.
