 It was early in the afternoon and the ever growing lioness was curled up beneath a tree just by her father's den. She knew that Kwea had spoken to her father not long ago, and that some day soon she would leave her fathers harem and go and be a banu in Kwea's harem. Thuraya was excited but nervous, she would work hard to be a great banu and bring honor to her father's name but she was going to miss living in his den with her siblings and mothers.
Yawning the small blue lioness looked up at the sky, wondering what would come of the day, perhaps she should be practicing her hunting skills being as old as she was now she really should be contributing more, Kwea would expact it as well she was sure. She sighed thinking about getting up, perhaps she would go out hunting with her mother tonight.

Achal headed back toward his den feeling a bit sadden that his little one final day within his harem under his protection had come. He was certain she would be quite safe with Kwea, but it was still a bit overwhelming. He had sent his sons off and now one off his daughters was to leave to.
He spotted his daughter beneath a tree and smiled, how he loved his children, his life, his home. He approached her quietly, "Thuraya."
He smiled at his young daughter, who was nearly all grown up, "My dear daughter, it is time. Today we go to your new home. Today you take your place among a new harem."
He nuzzled her, "I am so proud."

Thuraya couldn't believe it today was the day. She nuzzled her father deeply but then sadness began to come over her, if today was the day then that meant last night had been the last night she would sleep in a hudle with her siblings in the back of her father's den. She knew that it was the way things were that she was growing up but she at the same time would miss her family. She had been in such a hurry to make her father proud and be a member of a harem that she had forgot that it meant leaving her father behind.
She was fairly certain that it was Kwea that was meant to be her pad but she decided to double check ask her father, she wondered how the whole process would take place would her father take her to Kwea's den or would Kwea come here to claim her. "Is it Kwea? How does this work?" The little lionesses mind was racing.

Achal chuckled lightly at his daughters question. He wondered for a moment if he had forgotten to tell his daughter of the arrangements. If he had it was because he was very busy with all the arrangements that had to be made for his other daughters as well. He was honestly trying not to think about what their adolesence really meant. He didn't really care for the spaciousness the den would aquire. He would really miss his cubs.
"Yes, Thuraya love. You pad will be Kwea, he is very fond of you. We will head over to his den, then I will give you over to him and you will officially be apart of harem. Nothing to special really."
Achal moved foward giving his daughter an affectionate nuzzle. "Remember Thuraya, we are always here for you. Your mothers and I will be expecting visits."

Thuraya nuzzled her father deeply, burring her face into his mane before she rose to her feet. She felt very proud to be walking next to her father in the direction of her pad, her new home, her future. As she walked she turned to her fahter, "I promise to visit you and my mothers all the time." she said with a nod.
Thuraya felt like she was aging with every step she took, she was leaving her cubhood behind her. She had a large grin on her face she was ready.

Just outside of his own den, Kwea sat, bolt upright, awaiting the arival of Thuraya. he knew today was the day and he had to greet her, to welcome her in to his harem and more importantly to show Achal what a good pad he was going to be to his little daughter.
He felt proud and pleased that Achal would allow him to take in his little girl, proud and full of joy that he was gaining another Banu in to his harem and proud that Achal was his friend and trusted him with one of his youngsters.
He couldn't wait and when he saw the blue figures coming towards him, it took every ounce of his strength to keep seated and remain calm. He was very excited.

Achal couldn't help, but to grin as he walked with Thuraya toward Kwea's den. He looked to his daughter thinking on how she grown, before returing his eyes to the horizon. She had always been tiny, favoring her mother in that aspect, but she had grown. How he would miss her bright, happy personality.
Achal looked up from his reverie to see they had nearly reached thier destination. He thought he could see Kwea, but he was sure, so he quicken his pace to get closer.
"Almost there," he said to Thuraya.

Thuraya had a large smile on her face, a glisten in her eyes. She was honored to be going to her new home and she knew that her father was proud to be handing her off. She knew very little about Kwea, only what she had learned from the first meeting they had had. She walked towards Kwea's den, she didn't really know where it was or what it looked like, who was in the den or anything else.
She saw the tell tale white and red fur and she used all her energy to hold herself back, she felt it would be an embaressment if she began to run towards him, it just wasn't how a banu was suppose to behave. As they came up to him she slipped into a low bow, "Good Morning Pad Kwea." she greeted him in a very polite voice. She looked to her father for approval.

Kwea got to his paws as the lion who was his friend and the female who was ot become his new banu finally reached him. "And it is good to see you too Thuraya." He smiles, he very much appreciated how good a banu she was. Achal had raised her well.
He turns his gaze on Achal and nods a bow. "It's very kind of you to bring her to me Pad Achal. I will take good care of your little girl, I promise." He smiles bowing his head low to show how much he appreciated the gesture that Achal was making to him.

Achal smiled at his daughters polite manners. It pleased him to his daughter would bring him much pride and her pad as well. Oh it was very joyous indeed.
Achal nodded to Kwea, "It is no problem at all. I would not want you to think me an old lion when I am at my prime. A nice walk to see my daughter off is no problem." Achal smiled and nodded once more, "I am quite certain you will take very good care of her and even more certain that she will not be a problem."
Achal looked to his daughter and gave her a affectionate nuzzle before stepping back, "Join your pad my daughter." He motioned to Kwea still smiling.
