She'd left her family what seemed like an eternity ago and despite loving being away from their constant need to 'baby' her she was starting to get lonely. She wanted others to talk to and so far nothing had really wanted to do so. The lions all hated her, and good riddens to them anyway, and she hadn't run across any other's of her kind.
She had heard though that there was a group of them, a pack, that perhaps would be right up her alley. She'd heard it was in a graveyard so at least she'd have things to chew on. Bone marrow was delicious and she didn't get enough of her favorite treat now adays.

Grumbling as always, Tukutu had wandered from the pack to find something to eat. He wasn't strong enough to really bring down something big, but getting a sick gazelle, perhaps, or even just a hare. Something to eat. He'd take anything. One of these days some of the few brats remaining in the Graveyard were going to have to hunt for him. Hmph.
His ears twitched as he glanced up, making sure there weren't any lions nearby. Even though the Maziko were long gone, he still couldn't help but worry that they would return one day...and take over all of the graveyard.
Oh, well, it was just another hyena. Hmmm. He wandered over in her direction, a profit tossing around in his mind.

She sighed at the little collection of bones she had leftover from her earlier meal. Gazelle weren't really worth the meat on their bones half the time. Their bones definitely weren't worth it. There was nothing to them and they crunched so easily. There was still technically plenty of meat on her meal but she wasn't really hungry for that.
While contemplating the chance she'd be able to catch something else she heard footsteps in her direction. Head craning around she raised a brow when she saw another hyena. ".... so there -are- others. Wonders never cease"

Tuk's tail twitched behind him in amusement. "Of course there are," he chuckled darkly. "How else did you come into the world?" He sat down nearby, his scruffy self giving her a look over. Not bad, and it was obvious she could hunt. Sure, most other species, especially lions, thought that they did nothing but scavenge and plunder, but that only went so far. Had to eat more often than it was possible to steal a meal.
"Obviously you've been a longer for a while," he grunted, glancing down at the bits of a meal that were still lingering.

"I haven't seen anyone else since i left my family. So i was starting to wonder." She crunched the end off a small bone and chewed it up before smirking. ""I was told there were more but some times you don't believe things until ya see'em for yourself."
She took notice of his staring at her meal but didn't offer it. At least not just yet

Hm. He glanced back up at her, his green eyes a bit of colour on his grey and black fur. "There's a bunch of us not too far off. Rowdy bunch, mostly restless from not much to do, but it's livable." Besides the place not being pretty, it was boring. He'd lived there so long he couldn't imagine living anywhere else. He remembered a jungle from when he was young, but it had been...a little humid, but dead, too. He liked dead, so therefore, the graveyard was for him.
"It's not a pretty place, though."

She laughed at that. "A place for the likes of us shouldn't be 'pretty'." She shook her head as she continued to chuckle. "Anything that rummages around in the leftovers of others to lick the gooey bits out of bones can deal with a little unpretty. Besides. pretty gets boring. It's always peaceful."
She'd rather have a bit of ugly so long as things actually happened.

"Really?" Most females he had come across weren't too keen on the idea. Besdies Mafa, who...well, forget her. And the few females that had been born within the pack's boundaries. It had been quite some time since there had been a new litter. They were in trouble, Tuk just didn't know what to do. Besides what he had always done, and try to recruit new members.
"Well, I could show it to you, if you'd like. It's not pretty, but there's plenty of elephant skulls to pick out as a den." Not all of them were perfect, but a lot of them would do.

She nodded. "Wasn't really ever for the nice soft and pretty stuff." Which was partially why she'd left her family to explore the rest of the world.
"Elephant skulls? Really?" That sounded fun.

"Well, it is a graveyard, so it's full of bones. The skulls are best to sleep in at night, especially if it rains. The mud gets everywhere if you're not careful." Hmm, she sounded interested. This was promising.
"I could show you, if you want. I was just leaving there, but I can go back out later." Hares might be easer to snag at dusk, anyway.

"Sounds fun." She grinned. "What did you leave for?" It was probably food but it never hurt to ask. He couldn't have left because he didn't like it there. He'd asked her about seeing it a few times so he probably liked it and wanted more to come there.
"I suppose i could come see it ... but i'd hate to leave all these leftovers here"

"I was hungry," he shrugged. "Not much lives there. Maybe a snake, or a rat here and there, but they aren't really good to eat. Gotta go outside of the pack border to get something to eat." It wasn't a bad life. "Water too, though we have one small watering hole that kind of works." Really small.

"Could eat the rest of mine. I wasn't really going to but it going to waste seems like such a .... well waste." At least then the horrid lions wouldn't get it. STupid cats thought they could talk down to them for scavenging when she'd seen them do it too.

"Ah really?" He wasn't expecting it, honestly. Most hyenas were selfish creatures, himself included. He'd share if he felt like it, but that was a rarity. "Thanks," he said, swooping down to grab a few huge mouthfuls before she could change her mind. It didn't always feel great, eating so fast, but his stomach would stop bugging him. He didn't want to hold her up too long just for him to eat. He didn't need a good smack to the head about how overly selfish he'd be.
"Sure, sure, I'd be glad to show you. Not too far at all, it's just about where I came from," he said, glancing over his shoulder. "That a way. If the damn scouts are doing their job someone will notice us soon enough once we get moving."

"Better than some sniveling lion getting it." She almost spat the words. She was so over the lions pretending they were better than her just because they were lions and she wasn't. "Hypocrits that they are would eat it without a thought"
She nodded and stretched before turning the direction he'd indicated. "You don't sound like you expect them to be doing the job"
