Months had gone by with nothing incredibly special to report; Other was still pregnant, she still hated Val, Nosferatu still insisted on going out after dark without his Mother's knowledge, and Izaak was still both a (vehemently denied) blessing along with being an intense and prolonged pain in her a**. Aside from Nos and Izaak inviting her into other buildings (coffee shops, late night bookstores, etc~), nothing was out of the ordinary, and that was fine with her. Consistency was loved, and she was entertained with all the research they had been doing. There had been a few times where her usually harsh personality broke into something more calm, sweet and shy, but it was usually quickly corrected, as it always was.
But today, and rather out of character, she decided to indulge Nos' occasional request by letting him meet Izaak again. Sure the first meeting went rocky, and after that she had gone to great lengths to never be around both of them at the same time. But after these past months of bitching to Nos about Izaak, it seemed she had no choice. They had to meet again.
Sighing, the Monster stood in front of the library, waiting for Izaak to show up. For the most part, she looked and was dressed the way she usually was; a baggy long sleeved shirt, jeans, running shoes, long orange-red hair, sickly eyes...the usual; the only difference was, was the shirt was thicker than normal. But she always wore shirts with thicker fabric when she hung out with Nos, since he had this strange need to cling or climb on her...it was for his protection only. It didn't take her long to get anxious, and the moment she did, she started pacing in front of the library's doors, much like a caged animal waiting for someone to free it or feed it. What the hell was taking him so long?!

It had taken a lot longer to chase down a meal and devour it. It took even longer to properly dispose of it before the authorities found it and paid much heed to it and caused a public uproar. Then he had to slink back home and clean up and pick up his things before he could scuttle off to the library to meet up with Sally again. Wisely the bald man didn't make a big deal about having company in form of Sally while he researched things. Always he kept an ear open, especially during the day, for the book they sought to help her. Thus far there had been nothing too concrete to chase down. Until something popped up they researched into the standby subjects of interest and even diverted a bit.
They didn't always just spend time at the library either, but it is where they always met because Izaak couldn't bring himself to ask her to tell him where she lived. It was her bastion, her haven, her place where she can catch a break from everything ... Even him.
He approached the library and blinked at Sally as she paced and tilted his head a bit, "Hey! What's up? You usually don't seem THIS anxious..."

Sally stopped pacing when he spoke up, turning to stare at him, rather intensely. Now that he was here, she really, really didn't want to invite him over. Nos was the reason she even knew Izaak in the first place, and she was trying really hard to believe her life would have been just fine without him. Eventually, anyway. However...she promised Nos, and if she didn't follow through he was going to do something stupid, like to try and find Izaak on his own.
Brave Child. Stupid, but Brave.
"Nothing. I'm fine." She insisted, her voice short and flat. "But...we're going out." Sally informed him, walking closer to hook her hand around his forearm, sliding it down to the wrist, tugging lightly. "Like, now, before he does something stupid." The poor woman looked defeated, avoiding his gaze to stare in the direction they needed to go, trying to urge him to follow her now.
