The day had been blistering hot, even for the priestest, she now laid by the cool waters edge, watching the night-life awaken around her, she took a deep breath and let it out with a peaceful sigh.
She was listening to the sounds of the land, feeling the pulse of it within her own chest, she closed her eyes and simply enjoyed the beauty of it all.

Kerusey had been out walking, and examining the pride. Internally, he was catalouging all his brother's failures when it came to the people and their land. How he could have done a much better job, had he been chief but he was stuck as an adviser. Not that it matter, a smirk twisted his face, he would improve the pride significantly some day, by overthrowing that failure of his kin.
Caught up in his own thoughts, he almost missed the flash of white and purple, the grey blending in well. The smirk slipped from his face and he replaced it with a pleasant and blank expression. Aaah, Priestess Satomi. She was such a pretty thing. What a wonderful pawn she would make, in his plans.
He changed his path, approaching her but not speaking, to allow her to make the first move.

The anger, betrayal and hurt of him filled her senses the instant he was within range of her, she shuddered slightly, before her eyes slowly opened and turned towards the male.
"Kerusey..." She said softly, with a lowered bow of her head, it wasnt a sign of respect she truly had to give any but the King or Queen, but he deserved it as the Kings brother, and advisor.

Kerusey smirked at her bowed head, but quickly hid it. He did love the fact she knew his position. It would make interacting with her that bit more...fun.
"Satomi," he responded, his voice low and respectful but he did not bow his head to her. He had no reason to, as he was higher rank but still, his tone showed some politeness, which allowed him the lapse in respectful action.
"What are you doing out here?"

Her front paws crossed over, she pondered his question in silence for the moment before she smiled. "Waititing." She glanced towards the waters glistening surface.
"What bring you out here?" she asked in return now, not many came to the places she did, only those she taught were brought here from time to time, but moreso this had once been her hidden treasure, her place to just..be.

Kerusey frowned, at her rather short and uninteresting answer, but quickly removed it from his face when she asked about him. Well, at least she hadn't shunned him completely, he hid a smirk. There was still a very good chance.
"Looking for you, of course," he told her, glancing passed her at the water's surface. He wondered if that answer would intrigue her, or would she catch the lie? He was good at lying, so perhaps it would be hard to see.

She didnt trust him, it was clear as the surprise on her face as she rose to a sitting position and looked back at him, eyes widened, ears perked.
"Looking for me?" She eyed him curiously, she was one with all that was around them, present, and long sense passed, so lying to her, was a fine game that she'd yet to lose at.
But, if he choose to lie to her, then let him. She thought with a soft sigh, "What can I do for you?"

Kerusey tilted his head to the side. He had a feeling she was not the most receptive towards his charm, but that made her...intriguing. He resisted the urge to smirk and instead gave an innocent look, which was not innocent in the least, but was similiar to that of 'hurt' on most people's face.
"Can I not simply seek you out for the pleasure of your company, Satomi?"
It was true, she was pleasant company, but he had never been one for mucking about and doing things for enjoyment. He had a job to do in the pride, and she seemed...adequate for what he wanted.

She eyed him curiously, but she smiled at him. Satomi wasn't the most stunning lioness in the pride, but she wasnt ugly either, she held a more quiet, matured beauty that caught ones breath, and slowly let it slip away.
"A silver tongue is always welcome to stroke a females ego." She mused softly with a shrug of her shoulder, "Join me Kerusey.." she said, with a light nod of her head.

Kerusey moved towards her, and lowered himself carefully next to her. He was in her space, but it was not obscenely close. He was simply the right distance to show this was not a purely friendly meeting.
"Thank you," he told her smoothly, and gave her a rather cool smile. He had intended it to be friendly, but he was rather unused to that sort of emotion on his face. "But is it speaking with a silver tongue if it is truth that's spoken?"

She glanced at him curiously before she glanced out at the shimmering glow of the water before him, the life under the surface sparkling in neon colors that many would never notice, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, smiling.
"A truth in silvered words, only make them shimmer more than they would with fulse pretenses and lies." She spoke calmly before opening her eyes to turn and look upon him.
Her light emerald hued eyes sparkled with love and tenderness, she was a loving memeber of the pride, her ties to all around her made her as such.

Kerusey was slightly surprised by her words. She was as silver tongued as he was, it seemed, perhaps he had misjudged her. She might be more than a perfect prop, but that thought soon faded when he saw the warmth in her eyes. No. She'd never be like him, and he supposed that was a good thing. The pride did not need two of him, he was enough. He hid a smirk.
"You are very poetic, Satomi," he remarked lightly. "Perhaps it is you that has the silver tongue."
His posture was relaxed, but his muscles were tense beneath that stance. He would be able to spring up and attack with ease, even if he look deceptively vulnerable. He had mastered the art of looking peaceful, while still being alert, long ago.

She simply let her shoulders rise and fall in an elegant shrug. "One who does, as I do; must have the ablitiy to weave beauty from the truth." She said with a nod.
Her tail flicked against her paws lightly, she glanced over at him, could see the vibes of tense and attack ready muscles roll off of him, she could only sigh softly.
For one, who had been so beautiful, darkness and hate clouded him now, and it make her weep for him within.

Kerusey looked at her curiously, and hid a small smirk. "But there is not always beauty in truth, my dear Satomi," he murmured gently, before enquiring, "is there not beauty in a sweet lie too?" This would tell him if she was like him, but he knew she would not be. She was too sweet, too kind. She was not like him.
Perhaps that would make her easier to manipulate, or maybe that would just complicate things. Either way, there was no going back now. Kerusey had made his decision, and he was not one to second guess his choices.

"Beautiful or not, truth is always more welcome than a honey dipped lie." She said with a simple nod, truth was all that would ever pass her lips, she only saw lies has daggers to ones soul and happiness.
In her eyes, there was no need to lies. Ever.
She reached out light with a paw, and placed it over his and looked up to him, "So, are lies your shield?"
