Next weeks suits: Gundam GP-01 Full vernian vs Hyaku Shik
This is gonna be a weekly thing. Two mobile suits are chosen by me. During the week the guild members will post what they think will happen in a fight between the two suits, all while I highlight the strengths and weaknesses of each. Voting will go on, and the winner will be the deadliest suit of that week. Go the idea while watching Deadliest Warrior.
Suits of this week: Gundam Heavyarms vs Shining Gundam
Heavyarms Strength: Massive firepower, good for long distance fighting. Missiles as well as bullets provide for a one-two punch to any armor.
Weaknesses: Once out of ammunition, Heavyarms must fall back on the small blade on its right forearm.
Armor: Gundanium Alloy
Optional Equip: Beam saber after modification _____________________________________________________
Shining Gundam Strength: Exceptional for close range combat due to the 'mobile trace' system, copying the pilots every move.
Weaknesses: In super mode, Shining Gundam's defense falls dramatically, though its offensive power it increased. Long range combat is only possible using two small head mounted vulcans, and the 'shining shot' which is rarely used by its pilot.
Optional Equip: None

Hey, this actually looks like a great idea! Lessee...I think Heavyarms' got it. (Now watch Utena post two badly-spelled reasons why she thinks Heavyarms sucks, in a shout bubble. Just to spite me. Also, meow heart ) Unless the battle starts with the suits standing right next to each other, a competent pilot would make instant use of the long-range weaponry to great effect. It'd be like pitting a Navy SEAL against a samurai. Sure, the samurai reeked of bad-assery...but a sword and strict bodily discipline are no match for a stream of bullets.

The way that Shining Gundam moves would prove to be a hard target to hit, given that they don't charge straight for Heavyarms. If Shining got in close it's game over then.

As I said, it depends on a competent pilot. A good marksman would be able to account for such movements...especially those of something so big. But by all means, contradict me for the hell of it. stare

Two competent pilots would provide for an interesting battle. A good marksman would be able to make for the movement, but randomize that movement and it gets alot harder, especially in an urban environment.

Nevermind the fact that the two are from two worlds with two different sets of rules. But dodging bullets, especially in rapid succession, is nearly impossible. Especially when the target is 18 meters tall.

This is throwing out the rules. this would be like on Deadliest Warrior, they meet at random and duke it out. Running between obstacles increases the likelihood that the bullets will miss, nobody's reaction time is that fast. Though the bullet could go through the building being such a large caliber.

Jett Foulke i'm gonna have to agree with silas on this one. But wouldn't a Katana be able to cut through bullets, if in the right position to do so?

Javier Cross Jett Foulke i'm gonna have to agree with silas on this one. But wouldn't a Katana be able to cut through bullets, if in the right position to do so? lets see anyone move that fast. i'm saying that the time it takes to get between buildings is what would help Shining. Int he open, its a one sided fight, in an urban enviroment, it could go either way.

You forget, Heavyarms is also a lightweight, designed to jet over long distances to sortie. It'd have no problem keeping up with Shining, or even Burning for that matter. Guns>swords. Period. End of story. That's why we don't have swordsmen anymore. In actuality, I don't think a single suit from G Gundam could stand up to a gunner-type, like Heavyarms or Leopard. For the same reason that pirates, ninjas, samurai, knights, Spartans, Tibetan monks, or the like couldn't stand up to a guy toting a gun. People, with or without katanas, cannot dodge or outrun bullets. 20 meter mecha, which move much slower than humans for their size, also cannot dodge or outrun bullets.

Murdock Miller kind of obvious i know lol, but i'm gonna go ahead and say Dark gundam is the strongest...ever lmao Wrong. Wing Gundam Zero is more than capable of destroying it in a single shot. The Twin Buster Rifle is capable of destroying objects miles in size, like entire colonies, and last I checked, Dark Gundam is not bigger than a colony. Also, Silas, if shining is running between buildings, then there is no way Heavyarms reaction time is going to be able to keep up with that.
