A young female wolf had been wandering through the forest, heavily panting before finally taking a rest at the base of a large tree. The situation was getting dire, her last meal consisted of nothing but a small wounded rabbit she was lucky enough to stumble upon. She leaned down to lick her back leg, which was becoming slightly swollen from her travels.
Suddenly she was feeling quite a bit like that rabbit she had caught, hurt and exhausted and quiet vulnerable. Her steel blue coat worked in her favor at night, but helped only minimally during the day. Something was going to have to give.. the wolf had no idea where she was headed, and nowhere she knew of to go home to.
Resting her head against the pile of leaves covering the floor of the forest, the female squint her eyes in hopes it would help her relax. She let out a quiet grumble of protest however, it felt like a waste of time to be lazying around, but hoped that the break would allow her to recuperate enough energy to hunt something decent.
Although she looked rather content, her ears were still hard a work, listening for any that might be passing by. How she would handle any confrontation in her current condition... she'd figure out if need be.
