The sun had finally set, making Mychasi feel more comfortable to be about. It wasn't pleasant being out during the time the sun was. For he was practically blind when in it. He yawned as he stretched. Waking up from his nap he had taken. His braid flopped to the ground as he stood up fully. Though, he wasn't very big for a lion at all. Even smaller for a god that he was. No matter, he didn't really care about that, honestly.
He stretched each one of his wings, before letting them both fold back to his back as he began to walk. His braid dragging along on the ground below. Out of any way of possibly getting stepped on by himself. He made sure of that, he had a few times where he'd tripped over his own hair before. Which wasn't exactly a pleasant feeling.
His facial expression was not a pleasant looking one. A frown hung upon it as he looked most grumpy. But, that was his normal look. He rarely smiled. It wasn't because he wasn't happy, or because he wasn't enjoying his life. It was just how he was. He looked tough on the out side, but once getting to know him, he tended to be different then his appearance allowed to show.

The much-chewed remnants of meat on the carcass of an antelope had made her meal that evening, and Nata was well content. A full stomach, a pleasant nap in the sun, and now she was going for a walk to . . . well, where ever she ended up. The specifics weren't important. What was important was that the stars were coming out, and the night was clear, and if she found somewhere comfortably safe to lay she could watch them wheel above her. She liked to watch the stars.
Watching the stars had gotten her in trouble before. Like when she should have been doing things like hunting. Or pup-watching. They just didn't hold her attention the way the stars did. Running after antelope that your brother would eat most of anyway was not as enthralling as what was going on above her.
Nata had waited until the last of the pinks and purples faded from the horizon, and had started her walk as the first stars came twinkling out. She paused to see if she could spot her favorite star-shape, and realized she was treading on someone's tail. She looked down at it. Maybe it wasn't a tail. She seemed to have pinned a braid that dangled off of a . . . unique looking lion under her forepaw.
"Sorry, man, I wasn't paying attention to the ground."

Mychasi had been stopped from moving when he could feel something off. His mane was being pulled, but this wasn't right, he wasn't stepping on himself. He quickly looked around after another hard yank, which caused his braid to fly up from the hyena's foot and hit himself with it. "Watch it" He spat at the hyena. What crazy creature didn't watch where they were going? Oddly enough Mychasi hadn't heard her near him. He must had not really been completely awake yet.
The frown upon his face became a bit bigger as he looked over his braid. The feathers still in at the end. They had been a gift from his brother, and they were dear to him. He would have been very angry if something happened to them. "How couldn't you see me?" He wasn't THAT small, plus his wings were something abnormal for a lion. Same for his tail.

Nata was alarmed at how angry he seemed, and backed up a few paces from the strange looking lion that now had her attention. "Sorry, dude, I wasn't looking at the ground. I didn't mean to step on your . . . mane . . . braid thing. My mind was on higher matters." She sat back on her hindpaws and eyed the lion. He sure was weird looking. Even for a lion and they were a pretty weird looking bunch. He had some kind of growths on his back too. Or were they wings? When did lions get wings? She glanced up at the stars, but thought the better of it and drew her attention back down to the weird looking lion and his hairdo.
"Is your, um, your mane ok? I didn't mean to get it dirty, man. I was just looking at the stars. They're wild."

He couldn't help but mumble under his breath about how irresponsible some creatures where. He eyed the hyena carefully. At least it was one of the many creatures of the night that he could easily relate to if he needed to. Of course, there was an off chance that she was odd and enjoyed the day more the night though. Which wasn't much to him, really. It wasn't like he really wanted small talk anyways.
"It's fine." he said slightly annoyed. He looked up when she did. "The stars aren't going to move if you don't look at them." He told her. Stars were always up there, not always were they the same bunch of stars year round, but they were always up there none the less. He looked back at her. "Maybe you shouldn't walk when you are looking at the sky. You'll end up hurting yourself."

Nata was pretty relieved that the lion didn't appear to be going all crazy on her about some dust in his braid. Some lions were pretty bonkers about their manes. She didn't see the appeal, herself, but there you go. To each their own. "Yeah, man, but I like to see them move. It's like a dance, that they dance up there. And if I don't look I might miss something. And I'd miss a lot if I was always looking down when I walk. 'Sides, most everybody else looks at the ground when they walk, right, dude? Ground's covered. You got it."
Nata looked up at the stars (they weren't noticeably moving yet, but they might start soon- she liked to be ready for it) and then back to the weird looking lion. He had a weird tail, too. It was all puffy like a leopard's.
"Man, what kind of lion are you? A flying leopard lion?"

Mychasi didn't know what she was talking about. He never had to look at the ground to see where he was walking. He just had to look ahead, and not up. She was crazy for a hyena, that was for sure. He frowned at her, like he did everyone. "Then you should learn to stop and watch the stars, not walk." He stated again in case she didn't get the hint the first time. He hated to repeat himself, but at least sometimes it was needed.
"No." He simply said with annoyance. "I'm a god." He spoke to her with irritation noticeable in his voice. He didn't expect she'd know what gods where, at least he didn't give her the benefit of the doubt.

"Hmm." Nata eyed him a bit more, then sat so she could have a scratch as she looked at him. He obviously wouldn't appreciate that walking and watching the stars at the same time was the best way to travel, even being a god. He seemed pretty grim. And kind of grumpy. But then she had seen paintings of gods when passing through some of the stranger tribes' lands, and they all seemed to be lion-looking- and therefore a lot of them probably were sourpusses. For the most part, lions didn't know how to have a good laugh. She resisted saying something about the god of grumpiness, and decided to be polite. "How nice? For you. Um, what are you the god of? Where are your worshippers, and what not?"

He rolled his eyes. Some didn't get that you didn't need worshipers to exist. Nor did you really need anyone. Though, he was sure there were some out there that were very happy for him. Being able to see at night and all. Mychasi guessed it was rare for someone to be thankful for that, and they took him for granite. "I'm the god of Nocturnal creatures." He spoke to her.
"If you haven't noticed, the closer you get to me, the better your eye sight is at night." He said with a bit of a rude tone. He supposed she hadn't noticed at all. Which isn't so uncommon. Of course, unless he mentioned it anyways. He flicked his long tail. "But I don't suppose you noticed that at all."

Nata hadn't meant to offend him, but she rarely did mean to offend people and ended up doing it quite often. But being honest about it would probably be better then fawning. "No, I hadn't noticed. I'm noticing now though. I didn't notice before because I was looking at the stars, I suppose." She took a look around with her now extra-keen eyesight, and noticed how- distinct- everything seemed. It wasn't like seeing in the daylight- it was more like the shadows that deepened the night just didn't matter anymore. She crouched to get a better look at the grass that she was standing on and the bugs crawling in it. She could see layer of shadow she had never noticed before. "This is wild, dude. Wild."

He gave a shrug. He wasn't sure what to really say, but at least she was honest. Most would have denied the fact that they didn't notice at first. She got some points there, that was for sure. He shrugged again after realizing he was deep into his own thoughts again. "Staring at grass now?" He finally spoke. She was indeed odd. Stars, and now grass? She had some weird interests. He'd never seen anyone stare at grass unless it was a cub wondering what it was. Or having the idea of pouncing on it.
"The moment you walk away from me, the moment your eyes will be back to normal" He told her as if assuring her that she'd have her regular sight back. Of course, it probably didn't matter to her. But when they did go their way it'd be like walking into a bright area, then quickly going into a dark area. Then she'd really notice how much of a difference there was.

"That's a shame, man. You can see everything. It's even better then the day cause the sun isn't in your eyes. Look at the bugs!" Nata lay down with her belly in the dirt and went slightly cross-eyed as she tried to look at everything in front of her. "Man, I wonder what the stars would look like if I could see them this clearly. Have you see them?"

He looked at her with a little tilt of the head. He was just looking at the stars as she was only moments ago. What type of silly question was that? He raised a brow. "Yes... Yes I have." He just simply answered. He figured she was totally absent minded, and only had a one track mind. Which was just fine for him. Meant she'd easily forget about their little encounter. Eventually.
"I'm sure you'll have no problem seeing things how you did." He said. He could always give her the sight at night, but why? She hadn't done anything to deserve his power. He just kinda stood there in the silence now. Looking at her, then at the stuff she was looking at in front of her.

Nata clarified. "Not like, far away, dude. Anyone with eyes can see them like that. Like if you flew up to them and saw them, like I can see the grass, all up close. I've always wondered what they're actually like, you know?" Nata sat up, and looked up at the stars again. "Once I climbed a mountain to try and get a better look. It was really cold up there but they still looked the same. All that climbing was for nothing." Nata was silent for a moment, then said, "If I had wings, that's what I'd do. I'd fly up and take a look at the stars."

Strange questions this girl was asking. He shook his head. "I don't like flying, so no" He simply said. It wasn't like he was hiding anything from anyone. He was simply going to just tell them what they wanted to know. He didn't care if they liked him for it, felt sorry, or whatever. It just wasn't really important to him.
"I don't think it's that simple." he said with a shake of his head. "I think they aren't going to look close even if you fly up as far as you can." He said honestly. Of course, what did he know? He never tired.
