"For the rest of the day, heavy storms are expected throughout the area. People are advised to stay in-doors until early evening, when the worst of this system is expected to pass."
As if to amplify the weathermans' almost excited voice, lightning lit up the dark clouds outside as thunder let out a loud and angry grumble. At the former, the pale Pikachu perked up on his perch; tail and ears twitching, little sparks flew out of his cheeks in a look of concentration.
The TV continued as a multi-colored blob moved on the radar: "No hail has yet been reported though several blackouts have been stated at various points in the city." In the background, a guy (must have been the jokester of the TV crew) called out, "Its Team Rocket! They be plotting to rule us all!" At his words, a chorus of laughter rang out from the speakers. Even the weatherman managed a chuckle or two. "Well folks, we will continue to bring you updates as the storm progresses. Now back to your regular schedualed program."
"Jolt"
"Pikachu!"
The Pikachu jumped down from his perch as the TV switched back to the CSI episode playing on the TV. On the couch, serving as a makeshift footwarmer, a silver/blue Jolteon glanced at his trainer as she shuffled through the TV guide.
"Jolt jolt?"
"Im looking, Im looking. Chill out, you two."

Nyx lounged in one of the large leather chairs with a book in hand, the title read "I am Science, and So Can You!" On the arm rest of the chair was her Black and White Pikachu, who was taking a relaxing nap. Newton was out of his pokeball as well, occupying his own spot in a chair, now that he was three times as large as he had previously been he couldn't cuddle up with Nyx.
"It sounds like you might not have the TV for much longer." She flipped a page. "What with the storm headed our way." Newton stared at the video game system with longing. Ever since he evolved he hadn't been able to figure out how to use the controller.

"Pika, Pika, Pi-ka-chu~" Skye sang in his trainers arms, bobbing his head and smiling gently. "Jeez, why can't you be like this all the time?" She scratched him on the head, "I wish there were more thunderstorms if you behave like this when they come around." She shifted him to her shoulder as the walked the halls. He gave a squeal of excitement and nestled his head into the crook of her neck. "Haha! Stop that tickles!" Her blue eyed Pikachu was sure acting very strange... In her fit of laughter, she stumbled into a wall beside them. How clumsy of her.
She held a had to the wall and looked around. Hey, I know where we are. She spotted the familiar room, maybe people where in there who would be dieing to play a game! In a thunderstorm... The power would probably go out... "Eh, it's better than doing nothing." The Pikachu's ears perked up as her nodded and jumped from her shoulder to run to the room, Cal right on his heels. When she entered, she recognized two faces. "Oh, hi guys!" She gave a pleasant smile. "Hope I'm not interrupting." She made her way to the couch as Skye joined her on her lap.

Another grumble of thunder rang out from outside, this one a bit more annoyed than its' former. Both electric pokemon perked up at the noise but Aeon was quick to calm down and go back to watching the show on TV. Don, on the other hand, let out a nervous "Jolt..." as he snuggled closer to his trainer. This earned him a gentle nudge in the side with her toe.
"I doubt they'd let the power stay out for long, Nyx." Sighing, the grunt tossed the TV guide at Newton in a lazy motion as she snuggled down into the couch cusions...Ew, someone was wearing a weird aftershave in base.
Nasty.
And not in the good way.
"Anyway, I think- ACK!"
Jen had rolled over on the couch only to slip off the open end and onto the floor with a light thump; one leg stuck up into the air (propped up by the couch) while the rest of her sprawled out in a weird position. At her Jolteons' paniced look, she grinned. "Dont worry, Don. Ive had worse bruises- Oh! Heya Cal!" She switched her PoV as the grunt plopped down on the couch she had accidently vacated. 'Whats...um...upside down?"
Don stared curiously at Grunt and Pikachu while Aeon gave Skye a wave from the floor infront of the TV.

Nyx waved her hand and kept reading her book, even as Jen fell off the couch, she kept reading, so she really didn't notice Cal.
Newton tried to pick up and look through the TV Guide, not that he could read, but he had been able to connect what the title of one show looked like compared to another; He was having trouble manipulating objects with his new large appendages.
"Blim..." He grumbled and proceeded to eat the guide in frustration.

Cal giggled offering a hand to her fallen friend. "Other than you?" She smiled down to her, "I had to get out my room. I think Skye overloaded the circuits." Skye gave an embarrassed squee, before scampering off to the 'Chu in front of the TV. "I think this storm is making him all weird. He isn't normally this nice." She watched the blue eyed Pikachu spark when the lightning struck.
Cal glanced back at Nyx's still form reading in a chair. What a funny book she was reading! It did look intriguing though. She looked the other seated figure up and down. "What a cute, uh, Drifblim, right?" He reminded her of that Drifloon Nadja's Arcanine got a hold of.

The various wounds on her side, while healing, instantly made their presense known to the fallen grunt when her butt made contact on the hard floor. With a small yelp as Cal yanked her upward, Jen grabbed the couch for support with her free hand.
At her pokemons' concerned glances (even Aeon managed to break his gaze away from the TV), she grinned and waved them a "Im fine" signal before re-positioning herself on the floor. Don soon joined her to lay his head in her lap.
"I feel your pain, Cal." The grunt smirked. "Aeon was going nuts in my room too. Nearly blew out my computer." A snort at the humans' words. "It could have been because of the CSI marathon on right now too. For some reason, he's addicted to this show..."

Nyx sighed. "I can't figure out why... this is the worst show I've ever seen. Its like watching an infant explain physics." She turned another page of her book.
Newton chewed his TV Guide dinner and watched the show. "Blim." Hopefully he'd get used to this new, larger form, and could go back to playing video games again. He'd been fairly lethargic since he found out controllers weren't good for Drifblim hands.

Cal winced as she pull Jen up. That was a little to rough for her sore body. Jen's yelp made her giggle as she settled herself on the couch. "I just hope there isn't any permanent damage... I might need to get someone over there to fix it." She hadn't really met anyone who was any particular good with rewiring, so if that was the case, she would have to ask around.
She laughed at Nyx's comment, "Well I don't know about that. I haven't watched it enough to think it's good or not." She watched at the TV with mild interest barely able to see over the two Pikachus. Skye, on the other hand, was very interested, crowding the TV with Aeon.

Jen smirked and scratched her beloved Jolteon under the chin as the TV blared on, snerking a bit at the happy sounds Donar was making in the back of his throat. "Well, lets just hope that doesn't happen. Im sure the Doc doesn't wanna see me in the med ward charr-broiled due to playing with the TV during a lightning storm." Laughing aloud at the mental image, she leaned back a bit more against the couch.
One of the pokeballs strapped to her belt pressed against the floor and burst open with a flash of white light as a bolt of lightning lit up the sky outside.
"CHAR!"
The white blob shifted into a salamander-colored Charmander who smiled and waved at everyone in the room. Unfortunately, a large BANG of thunder caused poor Cinaed to yelp and dive for cover under the couch...which didnt let him get very far.
Aeon only perked up long enough to stare at Cinaed with a look that boasted a raised eyebrow on a human. Soon, he was back to watching the show on TV while chatting with Skye beside him.

"You worked in demolitions, you should be able to mess with a few wires without hurting yourself." Nyx scoffed as she sat the book on her lap, picked up the sleeping Tesla, and shifted around in the chair until her legs were draped over the arm of the chair. She switched from holding the pikachu with the book on her lap to holding the book with the pikachu on her lap.
Tesla woke up as Nyx hefted him into the air. What was going on? Oh, hey, lap... He wasn't bothered by the thunder, one of the few things in the world he wasn't scared of.

"I hear ya, that wouldn't be pleasant." She had thought about trying to see if the electricity in her room was ok, but it turns out that she valued her life more than missing out on some late-night re-runs that she could always come down here to watch. Hopefully her room wasn't fried or she'd have to get a pro in to help. No way did she want to end up in a charr-broiled hep next to Jen-Arceus forbid that happened. She didn't need to spend any more time in the infirmary.
"What a charming little Charmander you have there!" Cal smiled at the fire pokemon and watched as a thunder clap sent him diving under the couch. She couldn't help but giggle at his cry of fear.
Skye sparked at the flash of lightning and gave a happy lap around the room. He ran back and stopped at the fluffy haired scientist and her black and white Pikachu. He stood up on his toes and leaned over, barely touching Nyx, and tryed to paw at Tesla in an attempt to get him down to go watch TV with him and Aeon.

"Newp it wouldn't."
Jen shot a look at Nyx and the comment her partner made; the grunt was about to open her mouth to counter it when Aeon came rushing up to her with the remote hanging out of his mouth and a glare on his face. A look at the TV itself gave way that the marathon had ended...
"Hm...Well..." A look at her fellow grunts. "What did you guys wanna watch?" A glance at Newton. "We can channel surf, seeing as how Newton ate the TV guide."
Pulling himself out from the couch, Cinaed shook out his body and blinked a few times before clamoring up onto the couch with Cal. He didnt like those lights outside, how dark it was, or the noise coming from seemingly nowhere.
No no, indeed.

Nyx sighed and read through a few more pages. It was getting close to nap time for the little white haired scientist. She glanced at the other Pikachu, the one that wasn't her's.
"Ehh...." She shifted a bit, causing the drowsy Tesla to snap awake and look around.
"Pika pi?" What? He could watch the TV from on his human's lap... "Chuuuuu...." He whined and scooted away slightly.

"Are there any movies? Oh! Or how about a video game?" Cal smiled excitedly in her seat, looking for the remote. she gave up the search when she found that it had been carried away by Aeon and instead, stared at the TV. She wriggled a bit before deciding that she was too lazy to get up and channel surf. She sighed and stretched her sore body, before patting the Charmander on his head. "Don't worry, that thunder and lightning is no big deal." She hoped that would soothe the fire lizard a little.
Skye snorted at the black and white Pikachu. Why wasn't he excited and ready to play? Skye hopped up onto Nyx's lap to try to coax him to come down and do something with them.
