Observation was a key component in becoming a great detective. One must observe their surroundings, paying attention to every tiny detail, for even the smallest of clues can be pivotal in solving a mystery. Many believe that there are not enough mysteries in the world; they are sadly mistaken. For there are mysteries everywhere, no matter where one would look, they come face to face with an unsolved mystery.
It was with that knowledge that made the Angeni stallion love the work that he does every day; he never tires of solving cases and discovering something new. The feeling of solving a mystery or a case was one that was hard to describe to those who have not yet felt the joy and feeling of accomplishment.
Wystan smiled to himself, he had just finished with an important case and now it was time to go on to the next; to meet new Soquili and learn their interesting secrets. The stallion was standing in the forest, surrounded by pine trees that stretched up to the sky, creating a canopy to block out the sun.
To the stallion, it was the perfect day to solve another mystery.

 Adrienne was nibbling on some grass whens he caught sight of a winged stallion. He looked really awesome in a way since she had never seen one like that, especially with all those wings. The dark brown mare cocked her head to the side not sure if she wanted to go over or not. She was normally awkward around men and didn't know how to talk to them.
Then again she was normally socially awkward either way. She slowly made her way into the bushes staying hidden looking at the stallion.

He could feel eyes looking at him; the culprit had hidden herself behind a few bushes, where she continued to watch him. The winged stallion smiled, ‘this was certainly interesting,’ he thought to himself, ‘it seems that the mare does not wish to make her presence known, perhaps I should keep it that way… no. I will not.” It was his job to ask questions and learn when other do not wish to learn. He would introduce himself to the mare and get her to tell him why she was hiding in the first place. ‘I am not that scary,’ Wystan snorted to himself.
With silent hoof falls the stallion made his way to where the mare hid, “Hello Madam. Why are you hiding in the bushes?”

Adrienne jumped a bit. "Oh...I'm sorry...I wasn't trying to be a creep or anything. I was just wondering who you were and what you were doing here, but then again this is free land and you have every right to do whatever you want." She smacked a hoof to her mouth to get herself to shut up before looking down at the ground a bit embarrassed at herself with a sad look in her eyes. "I...I'm sorry..."
She looked back up at the angeni. "I'm Adrienne..." She looked back down again. "I uh...nice wings." She wasn't sure what to say around him. Perhaps she would just try to keep it simple.

Her reaction was amusing to the Angeni stallion and quiet unexpected; the mare in front of him emitted some nervous ramble. Did he really have that effect on her? Wystan wondered why that was. “Don’t be sorry, you are right to wonder. I am searching for clues to lead me to my next case. But why are you out here?”
His blue icy gaze looked over the mare; she was the first full uni he had laid eyes on in a while. Wystan had heard that full unis have the capability to heal those who are in need; it was an interesting concept and one he wondered the mare knew.
The grey bodied Angeni bowed his head to the brown coated mare, “It is a pleasure to meet you Miss Adrienne, I am called Wystan,” he smiled at her as he flicked his wings, “Thank you.”

Adrienne blinked a bit before lightly bowing back. "Oh no! The p-pleasure is mine Wystan." She eventually raised her green eyes to look at the angeni. She hadn't seen other angeni before so it sort of surprised her. "I'm surprised you came to this area. It seems pretty quiet here most of the time with no one to talk to."
She was trying to be sociable, but it was hard to do since she normally didn't know how to act around males. "Or at least it doesn't seem so. Then again...I'm normally a wuss."

The red and gold winged stallion smiled at the nervous mare, “I was following the clues, there is supposed to be some great legend around here that talks about a ruin that can only be found when the moon is full. It is quiet, calming even. Am I disturbing your silence?”
His icy blue eyes observed the mare standing near him, she was out of her comfort zone it appeared, “I believe that it is just silent and that many soquili do not come this way. There are only two recent sets of hoof prints, I have not seen any other markings of soquili,” Wystan looked away from the mare, “Each of us are different, some express themselves in different ways, you are just demure more than others. It is a quality that you should feel proud of,” the stallion moved his gaze back on to the mare and smiled.

The brown mare looked surprised. "Really? There are ruins nearby?" She paused for a moment and thought it over before sighing. "Nope, I don't know of any still." She glanced into the woods. "Although they say the deeper you go into the woods the deeper the mysteries become. I don't know if that helps or not."
When Wystan mentioned about her she blushed a bit before looking down. "Y-you really think so? I tend to annoy a lot of others that are outgoing and full of energy." She looked up with a big smile. "I mean sometimes I try to be outgoing" She paused a bit before looking sad. "Then they say I'm annoying." She sighed. "So what's the use anyways?"

Wystan pondered the words that the mare had spoken, deeper into the woods the mysteries become more prominent; finally the detective had found the clue that he was looking for, “There are and I believe you just gave me the clue of how to find the ancient city.”
The stallion held back a snort; other soquili thought that she was irritating? They were definitely mistaken, but then again, this was Wystan, who as a foal loved to ask questions which many thought to be bothersome. Because of the detective’s pass, he had a higher tolerance for what others believed to be irksome. “You are not annoying, and those that say that, do not know what annoying truly is. Trust me, I know,” Wystan gave the mare a sly grin, “Since many soquili also direct that term at me as well.”

Adrienne blinked a bit surprised. "Really? I guess that makes sense then." She looked deeper into the woods. "Is there anything else I can do to help?"
She then turned her head to see Wystan's expression wondering what he was thinking until he spoke. "Oh...I don't really find you annoying truthfully. It doesn't hurt to be sociable, but I guess some just like to grump about and sulk in melancholy or depression and hate others." She looked down. "I hate it in a way since it's like a negative energy cloud that sucks you in."

“Yes. That is if you want. I was wondering if you would like to be my companion on this quest, since you know these woods better than me,” Wystan’s icy blue eyes focused on the deep woods around the two Soquili.
It was a rare few that did not find Wystan irritating because of his constant barrage of questions, “Thank you for that, it is nice to find Soquili who do not want to put a stick in my mouth to shut me up,” Wystan’s mouth twitched at a memory of when he met a darker stallion, “Then their mood will make you upset or depressed as well. Unless, you can figure out a way to not to be sucked in.”

Adrienne thought it out for a moment. "I suppose so. It would be nice to have company in this quiet woods." She started heading down the path that lead deeper into the woods. "Although the woods can be noisy sometimes as well."
The unicorn listened to the second part before laughing. "A stick in your mouth? That wouldn't look to right and rather silly..." She turned around with one eye shut from laughing looking at his face then stopping herself instantly blushing then looking down ashamed of herself. "Oh...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make fun of that."

Wystan bowed his head, “Thank you for coming with me, you will not be sorry. You may even get hooked on Mystery.” The Angeni’s ice blue eyes sparkled at the thought of another enjoying the Mysteries.
He was not at all surprised by her laughter at the situation he had described, for he had meant to be funny, but also tell the truth at the same time. Wystan smiled at her laugh, “That would be the point and it is a good way to silence another.” The detective paused as he noticed the blood flow to the mare’s face, revealing her embarrassment, “Do not be sorry, there is no need.” He gave her a wry smile, “I would have laughed as well if the situation was switched… well I was laughing when it happened, much to the annoyance of the other stallion.”
