It was hot and humid today, making it horrible to even walk for dark colored soquili let alone hunt in this kind of heat. Maddox just happened to be one of these poor soquili.
Maddox growled as he walked across the plains. He'd come down from his man caves in the mountains for one thing, food. So far he'd been unable to catch any. Even if he could smell, and hear woodland animals all around him he couldn't sneak up and surprise them like he was use to doing. And by the time the chase was over he was too tired and hot to try again for hours.
His stomach growled back at him, begging to be filled up even a little bit. And he groaned back at it. Gods he'd eat anything right now, Maddox had even tried to eat the grass he was so hungry. Which as always for a meat eater like him came back up after only a few minutes. If the dark mutant wasn't gonna feed soon, he was sure he'd go crazy.

Cai's small frame blended in quite nicely to the shadows of the undergrowth. His bright blue eyes nearly glowing in the shadows. His small hooves barely making a sound on the water soaked land.
Summer had finally begun to embrace the lands fully. A welcomed change to Cai, whom had been forced to endure the cold of winter and the bareness of spring alone.
The birds had begun to fill the air with their songs, in joyous announcement of the turn of seasons. He, himself ignored the jubilent songs of the birds. Instead focusing his attention on the area surround him.
Being so small in stature made him a prime target for hungry creatures, so it was best to be guard as opposed to lunch.
His muscles tense, Cai took one more careful look around before lowering his nose to the ground. It was time to search for food.

Maddox's eyes scanned the area wildly. He blocked out the sounds of the birds singing, they were too fast to be food. Anything and everything he couldn't catch Maddox blocked out. Well till he saw those beady glowing bright blue eyes moving in the grass. Thats...all he could see, but that was all that was needed for Maddox to lock onto his target. That was gonna be his meal.
He couldn't think in his state of mind or he would have never kept stalking his prey once he smelled it was a usdia, a young one at that he couldn't think about anything but the fact that usdias even if they're foals are full of meat. He'd feel bad about it later, right now his life came before another as his most basic animal nature kicked in.
With a feral grin Maddox jumped, hoping to pounce on the foal in order to crush it under his body weight, killing it almost right on contact.

Cai's small nose rooted underneath a rotting log. Maybe there was something in there, he could eat. The grass that normally would have sustained him, was dry from the summer heat. Forcing Cai to eat what he could find.
Inhaling the musky scent of the log, Cai scrunched his nose in discontent. It didn't smell like it would taste any better. Silently, Cai debated on trying the bone dry bark.
However Cai's plans to try the log were soon dashed as his instincts screamed danger at him. His head jerking up to stare wide eyed at the area before him. At the same time Cai darted to the right, hoping to confused whatever the danger was.

Maddox slid back a few feet when the small usida foal darted to the right. He was by no means nimble, his large body needing lots of space to turn and stop. His green eyes glowed in fury as he ran is eyes over the land, looking for the small foal. His blood heated when he saw the terrified usdia darting back and forth in the long grass. His body stood out nicely against the dried yellowish grass.
Maddox paused as he thought about his attack plan, he couldn't trick the meal now. He'd just have to keep trying to chase it, and pray to the gods it'll trip or something. And maybe then he can finally fight of this hunger that had made him go mad.
With a soft head nod to himself Maddox toke a careful step forward, waiting for the right time to attack. When he saw the foal slow down just a little Maddox toke the chance and started his chase. His mouth watered at just the thought of blood hitting his mouth. Soon...Soon he'll be able to eat!

Cult smiled as she twirled in the sky. She had left Seamus back in the meadow for the day, they both were not use to staying in one place for long. And so every couple of weeks they'd split for a day to go explore, Cult had wanted to go by herself this time. She was quite enjoying her time alone. She hadn't met anyone yet, but that was okay. After a pit stop at a river and a nice cool drink she had token off back into the cool sky, letting the strong warm gusts of wind take her wherever it wanted her to go.
Which is why she just happened to be in the perfect spot when Maddox pounced after Cai for the second time. With a frown Cult paused and flapped her large wings, keeping her in one place. Hunts were so interesting to her, she had always wanted that kind of grace and speed when running. Grace was something Cult only had in the skies, but oh she had always wanted to be graceful and nimble on the ground so much.
Her two toned ears pinned back when the dark body of what ever the large spiky mutant was chasing darted out into a short clearing. Shock and horror played out in her eyes as she realized that it wasn't something like a deer or a rabbit the mutant was chasing. No it was a foal! A poor baby! She huffed, suddenly becoming angry at the dark purple mutant below. A child? Really. How weak was that!
She folded her wings back, letting herself dive out of the sky. She flared her wings out at last moment, landing gently but swiftly in from of the mutant. Making him almost run into her. With a loud battle cry she rear up, kicking her two front legs at him. "Find another meal somewhere else mutant!" She shouted, still trying to knock him with her front legs.

Cai's heart hammered in his chest as he ran. Panic spurring his small body faster then normal. His eyes wide in fright. Cai didn't know what was chasing him, nor did he care. All that mattered to him was escaping.
However as Cult landed between him and Maddox, Cai skidded to a stop within the safety of a large bush. His frightened eyes peering out to watch the scene before him.

(Maddox starts with 30 HP, Cult is gonna start with 50 HP. Because Maddox is not in his right mind, And is weak from not eating. xD Plus he should lose anyways.)
Maddox growled as he toke three large steps back. He could smell that his prey was still near, But this...stupid mare was in the way! He lowered his head, So that his sharp tusks by his mouth were at the ready. He toke one step forward, His body tense and ready to charge at the mare. It was a clear warning to back off, Anyone with a brain should have gotten the warning.
When the mare simply stood her ground, Staring at him from above with a displeased frown on her muzzle. It made him lose his cool, He pawed at the ground with one of his front hooves, Before charging at the mare. With a swift swipe of his head, He went to go slash her with his tusks.
Edit after rolling: His glowing tusks barely got to n** at the mare before she used her wings to lift away from his range. He let out a thundering roar, Waiting for the winged mare to come closer again before he attacked.

Cult let out a screech that could match a harpy when the large mutant charged at her. Her powerful wings flared out to catch the wind just at the right time, She caught and breeze in them and went soaring back a few feet. She hissed and looked down to the burning cut on her foreleg. It was small, And would easily heal in just a few days time, She thought herself lucky that she avoided those sharp tusks this time, Next time though...She'd have to be more careful.
She eyed her enemy, Looking for weak spots that she could use to win the fight, Hopefully without having to meet those spikes too many times. The softest point looked like his head, It was a spot she could get to with her wings, But he couldn't get to her if she was high enough.
Cult smirked as her ash gray wings unfolded from her sides once again, With a jump she lifted off of the ground, Cult let herself be carried up into the sky. She smirked as she saw the purple mutant start making his way towards the bush that the foal was hiding in. He couldn't have gotten more then four steps closer before she silently dropped out of the sky, Her hooves ready to make contact.
Edit after rolling:
Cult let out a victory cry as she dropped herself on top of the mutant's head, Hooves first off course. She brought him dead in his tracks, And with her heavy set frame she knocked him flat onto the ground. After only a few seconds on top of him, Cult let herself fly up, Landing a few feet away from the bush.
(Cult now has 49 HP. Maddox as 15 HP left. o wo )
