I have a Jackson JS30RR Randy Rhoads V. I use it with my Line 6 Tonecore Ubermetal pedal. I play mostly metal. Prog metal, power metal, death metal, thrash metal. I really want a new bridge pickup that will let me get a more aggressive tone similar to Alexi Laiho's(Children of Bodom) or Dimebag's and that will let me play screaming aggressive pinch harmonics with thrashing crunch on the low end. I play in Standard D and Drop C.

Any reccomendations on what pickups I should look at and why?

EMG, DiMarzio, or some of the seymour duncan mdoels. I believe that EMG is the best, but most EMGs are active, so battery replacement is required.

Hey man, I got the Uber Metal too, and i just changed my pickups and i have to say man, you should try an EMG81, it's amazing man, it just improved my sound so much, it's just how i love distortion, punchy, fat, and heavy. To me they are the best for Metal. but you might have to check because I belive your guitar doesnt have a pick guard so it you'll probably need to make a hole for the battery.

EMG or DiMarzio. You might also try the Seymour Duncan Dimebucker, which, obviously, was a pickup made by SD in conjunction with Dimebag before he died.

I would have to reccomend the Evolution bridge model from Dimarzio. It's got an incredible metal tone and it won't dissapoint as far as Harmonics are concerned. You'll have to play a bit more articulated as this pickup won't cover anything up for you.

You can check out specs and such at Dimarzio.com.

You also can't forget about the X2N... Absolutely phenominal pickup.

True that.... true.. that.
From my personal experience with the Evo 2, I'm really impressed with the clarity of the individual notes that chord work presents, as well as the phenominal tone range the pickup has in general.
