A rather stressed looking spawn stumbled into the elevator, her multiple-bag laden arms carrying a green-haired snake child while a little black blob with gold eyes. The girl looked absolutely exhausted, her hair a mess from her child's bouncing around and her legs aching from chasing after the little shadow girl. Azubahiel leaned against the wall opposite from Marcy, slumping against it. Oh, she couldn't wait to get home and rest her feet a bit before work.

BonBon sat in his mother's arms, eyes half-lidded with sleepy contentment as he curled around his hard-gained prize: a bag of chewy-gooey caramels covered in toffee bits. Yummy! He wanted to munch on them now, but Mama Zu said he had to wait until they got home. Darn.

The little shadow stepped into the elevator, golden eyes looking curiously around. What was this little box room? Why was it on strings? Why- Oooh, shiny! Without another thought, the little soot-black jello toddler made her way over to the new person, intending to claim her new-found shiny.

'Zuba looked up, offering a weary smile. "Yeah, I am." she agreed, nodding once. "So, you dance?" she asked, judging by what the girl had been doing when they first entered and by her attire. Azubahiel was instantly envious; she wished she could dance like that. The girl was so lucky. She watched as the younger spawn picked up the shadow. "Be careful; she's a little thief." she warned, looking worried. Why did she have a horrible feeling something was going to go wrong?

Nini let out a little squeak as she was scooped up, but then let out a delighted giggle. Nice lady must want her to have shiny if she lifted her up! "Nini! Ni! Nininini! Ni~" The little shadow cooed happily, hugging nice lady before reaching for shiny. "Ni!"

Nini smiled, letting out a delighted giggle. "Ni! Nini!" she chirped, hugging her new shiny close. Nice lady was nice! Nice lady deserved a hug! The little shadow hugged Marcy, ignoring the fact that they had stopped and ignoring the voice over the intercom. All was right in the world cause she had her shiny! She rubbed her cheek against her shiny, purring happily. She had shiny, she had shiny!

"They're mine." Azubahiel stated, nodding once. She tried not to loose her grip on her bags and child as the elevator jerked to a stop. "Oh great...." she said, sighing as she slid to a sitting position. "This is just fine and dandy. Just great..." A thump was heard as the the spawn's head made contact with the wall of the elevator. Could today get any better?

Nini smiled happily, unaware of the the situation they were in. "Niiii..." she sighed contentedly, leaning against the nice redheaded lady, the giver of shinies, before proceeding to nom on her newly-gained shiny happily.

"It's probably the emergency lights." 'Zuba said, looking up at the aforementioned lights. "They're connected to seperate generators to insure that there's light in case of an emergency, like a power outage. The generators can't produce enough electricity to run big things like escalators and elevators, though, so we're stuck." 'Zuba reached into one of her bags, pulling out one of her new books on Leonardo da Vinci and his works. "Want something to read?" she offered, holding out a book on primeval artworks and artists to the girl. She paused, remembering her manners. "I don't believe I caught your name. My name's Azubahiel....call me 'Zuba, though. This is BonBon, my son, and you're holding Nini."

'Zuba smiled, nodding. "It's nice to meet you, Marcy." she said, her tone friendly. She didn't know if the father's name should mean anything to her, so she just nodded, choosing the silent route. She smiled, tucking the book back into her bag. "Thanks for helping with Nini. She can be quite the handful." she said, chuckling. "Mall security can vouch for that one."

Nini giggled at the funny face, attempting to make one of her own back. Making funny faces is hard when you don't have many distinct facial features.

"Isn't that the truth." the split spawn concurred, smiling at the other girl. She then let out a small laugh. "Oh no, no. She's just trying to mimic your funny faces." she assured the girl, laughing a little. The young woman shifted, readjusting her hold on the bags and BonBon. "If you want, I could take her back, though."

Nini stopped making the face, tilting her head to the side and looking up at Marcy. Rest room? Did she mean the room with the funny looking white chairs? Why would she need to go there? It usually didn't have shinies.

'Zuba blinked as the voice came over the intercom, glancing up at the speaker that the voice issued from. "Well, that wasn't too terribly long." she said, smiling lightly back over to the other girl. "Thank you for the help. And for the offer. But, I think I can manage from here; we'll just be heading home now." She readjusted her hold on the now-sleeping BonBon before rummaging in her pockets for a piece of paper or something so she could trade contact info with the other girl.

"Here.....there you go. So we can hang out sometime." she said, pausing to scrawl something across the paper before handing it to the other girl, trading her paper for the wide-awake Nini. "So we can hang out sometime." Azubahiel smiled, waving as she left the elevator. "Bye, Marcy! It was nice meeting you!"
