Samson ducked through the small gate that led out of the flyterion gates. He sighed and shined a secret smile to himself. Spicae girls really new how to kick it. Turning outwards, he laughed in spite of himself. Heck, to anyone else he might've looked crazy, but on his own like this, he felt an ectasy from his time with the girls.
However, the emotion quickly faded as he looked towards the path that stretched outwards. It was a bit romantic really, the glowing bugs that were flying around and all. He mentally cursed himself for not picking up one of the spicae girls in the city to play with. Shrugging it off though, he started down the path.
As he walked, the mountains on either side of him seemed to close in on him the farther he went along. Luckily there were no real trees around, so the sky was visible for miles. Suddenly Samson was jealous of the tiny wings each of the spicae sported, wishing he could simply fly home instantly. At least up in the sky he would have something to do. With no one around him, Samson felt irritatingly bored. The glowing bugs that had once looked pretty to him were now a source of frustration.
"WHY IS IT SO LAME OUT HERE!" he shouted, though he instantly regretted it, realizing he probably looked like an insane gladier. He looked over both his shoulders, to check if wayward traveling gladiers had heard him, but thankfully, it seemed there was no one in sight. No one, that is, except the bolders and small brush located around the mountainsides.
Little did Samson know, things were about to change, quite rapidly.

With a start, a white spicae woke up rather irritably, blinking rapidly to get rid of the sleep. What the hell was yelling so much? She stretched herself out, in no rush to see what it was. Feeling more and more annoyed as she thought about it, she yelled back, "Do you honestly have nothing better to do than to wake up someone's nap?!" Ugh. She peeked out from behind the boulder she was sleeping behind, her golden eyes already narrowed and glaring at Samson.
Nefertari couldn't help but gasp, realizing that it was a male. Oh darn. She'd have to act nice and pretty. It was the only way she could probably get a free meal.

"Do you honestly have nothing better to do than to wake up someone's nap?!" a small, furious, female voice cried out from behind a rock.
Samson was alerted to someone being with him, and flipped around quickly. He could see a tuft of white fur, and a pair of angry looking eyes sticking out from behind a rock, and he couldn't tell what it was. Samson turned around, but unfortunately he was already quite aways away from the Flyterion glades. No one would be out here to help him. Now he REALLY wished he had picked up a spicae to go home with. The thought of dying alone and young in the middle of no where, only to be later discovered by a traveling gladier was NOT very appealing.
"H-hey ... y-you come out now, y'hear? I'm not afraid to fight you if I have to whup some butt!" he shouted, but even as he said it, he realized he had no weapons and no defense (nor any way to fight back). He scanned the clearing, looking for anything he could fight with, or possibly hide behind. Nothing except a few boulders, which would do him no good, and a few thousand glowing bugs. Funny how quickly the scene had changed from a romantic glowing night, to a dangerous journey with little light.

Changing her face from anger and annoyance to a face of delicate innocence, Nefertari slowly stepped out from behind the boulder. "P-please don't hurt me..." she said softly, looking at Samson with her BIG, GOLDEN EYES. The bangles on her leg jingled quietly as she moved, a guilty look on her face, "I-I apologize for my outburst earlier..." the spicae looked down at her paws, the spitting image of a guilty puppy.

Now he KNEW something was wrong. Was this one of those demon gladiers he had been reading about? The ones who seduce you and then took you to the underworld? But she was so cute ... Her small bangles jingled as she walked, and her two flowers complimented her white fur. Samson stepped back and gave off a look of weariness.
"Look ... I don't want to deal with you tonight ... whatever ... you are exactly," he said, as defiantly as he could. He began to walk down the path, and even if she followed he would simply push her off.
... But she was so cute. Samson turned around to see a pair of golden eyes, begging him ... for something, whatever it was.
He sighed a bit, then said, "Listen, I don't know what you want, but if it involves coming to the underworld, I don't want to talk." Oh my god ... did I just say that out loud? What was with this girl that made him say that? He immediately turned around and began walking back down the path, completely embarassed.

"Th-the underworld...?" Nefertari stuttered, letting a few tears form in her corners of her eyes. The hell was this thing ragging on about? Demons didn't exist. Stupid boy. "A-am I really that ugly...? That...that..." the tears trailed down her face, as she stopped following him, plopping down into a sitting position, staring at the ground sadly.
Seriously. She have better gotten something out of this. Crying? The better get a feast fit for a king.

As soon as Samson heard her sniffles he began to walk a bit faster. There were two things he was weakened by in this world. His mother, and crying. Don't turn around dude ... just don't do it! He picked up his pace.
"N-no!" he stammered, "You're actually really cute! Okay?" He turned around and made a "harumph" noise. Man he was this close to losing it. The sight of those big golden eyes crying nearly split him.
He looked up, and saw the girl sitting there down the road. He glanced around to make sure no one was listening, and said, "Look babe, you're cute I'll give you that. But I don't have the time to sit here and play with you. So run home and find yourself a nice boyfriend," He tried to put on a cool demeanor, but his heart wasn't truly in it at this time of night. Of course, she'll never find a better boyfriend than me, ha! he thought giddily.
Now the sun had fully gone down, and a swarm of the glowing bugs had come out to play. The spirit lights on either ends of his string began to glow, in aid to his walk home. The whole valley soon began to shimmer, and the light reflected of her white fur splendidly. However, he couldn't help but feel like she was hiding something.
Innocent my ... tail he thought

"H-how do I know that you're not lying to make me feel better?!" she cried out, rubbing at her eyes with her paw. How unlucky was she to find a dolt like this who wouldn't even do something nice for her? "Y-you called me a demon when you first saw me." she continued, her mouth quivering, "You honestly thought I was so...so UGLY!" she cried, before getting up preparing to run off and 'cry'.
"A-and I'll probably never get a boyfriend cause I'm just so UGLY!" she announced out of 'spite', before running off into the bushes. Hah. Boyfriend? Who had time for such petty things?

Now he was in for it. The girl would probably run off crying to her parents or something, and he would get the punishment for it. Sighing, he turned around, but the girl had disappeared into the bushes.
"You're not ugly okay ... why don't you just walk with me home? Its getting dark and ... you probably shouldn't stay out here alone ... or something ..." He stammered.
Samson finally figured out what was wrong with the girl. Although her eyes were crying and her entire body language was screaming "I'm a poor girl, help me!" her eyes were smiling. It may have been shrouded by tears, but the entire time, her eyes looked as though she had just won the lottery.
Samson shook his head, he couldn't make heads or tails of it. He turned around and began walking away for a final time, only stopping to say "Look, my offer stands. You can come with me, or you can leave."

Ugh. How much more did she have to endure before she got a free meal or something? Nefertari merely sat down in the bushes, glaring at the form of Samson. Perhaps she would wait for the next male to walk by. They'd definitely be more chivalrous and intelligent than this one.
Though, her thoughts were interrupted by the presence of a small little creature called a spider. There weren't many things that Nefertari was afraid of, hell she'd fight a bear or the giant squid, but nothing terrified her more than this small eight-legged beast. The instant it swooped down clinging to its web in front of the spicae's face, she let out a blood-curdling scream, frozen in place, as she stared at the spider, terrified out of her mind.

Samson whipped around and automatically assumed a defensive position. His strings were a bit tangled, but at the moment, protecting himself and the the defenseless girl were the most important thing. His eye scanned the empty valley, looking for any sign of imminent danger.
"What is it? What did you see?" He growled angrily. When he finally looked at the girl, she was no longer crying and was simply cowering beside the bush, as though it were going to eat her whole. He walked over to the bush slowly and peered inside. Luck would have it that it was just a small blue spider, sitting on its web looking rather annoyed.
Samson looked at the small cowardly girl and, upon further reflecting the situation, he burst out laughing. "A spider? THAT'S why you're screaming? Ahaha, and here I thought you were just a cute, tough girl." Using his paws, Samson smashed the spider, leaving it to an instant death.

Somehow, just somehow, the white spicae had managed to go into a fetal position even though she was frozen with terror a few moments before. Muttering some incoherent phrase over and over again as she quivered looking quite pitiful.
Though, at the sound of Samson's laughter, Nefertari realized what kind of a predicament she was actually in. This was worse than seeing the spider. This was pure humiliation. Peeking out from under her paws, her golden eyes glaring daggers into Samson's face, "Shut up you stupid fool." she snapped, as she slowly straightened herself up, the small strings hanging from her ears swinging slowly.
"Y-you're the...the STUPIDEST...THING I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE OF MEETING!" and like the prissy and vain thing she was, Nefertari ran past Samson and down the trail that was traveling down moments before, letting out a "UGH!" of disgust much like a pubescent teenage girl. Ugh. How was she ever going to live this down?!

As the Spicae lay there on the ground, Samson's gentle side had a twinge of sympathy for the poor thing. She couldn't help that she was afraid of spiders, any more than he could help the spots on his fur.
Embarassed, the girl finally realized the situation she was in and shot daggers at Samson with her eyes from under her delicate, white paws. Samson was surprised to hear an insult come from her tiny mouth, but he couldn't help but notice how ... cute she looked when she was angry. Her small bracelets jingled as she straightened herself out, giving her a light and airy look. Samson, was now on the prowl.
However, before he could utter a flirtatious word, or even get her name she quickly passed him in a flurry of white-pinkish embarassment. Worried, he began to chase after her and could only shout "Wait, where are you going?" He could see how flustered the girl was about her fear of spiders, so he added, "You look even more immature when you run y'know. Why don't you at least tell me your name!"

Stupid, stupid, stupid, STUPID, STUPID. Ugh! The spicae continued to run, the fireflies and lanterns guiding her way through the darkness. Nefertari ignored his remarks, thinking that he would soon leave her alone if she continued to run without replying.
But, Nefertari was not an athletic spicae. Oh no she wasn't.
Soon, she was out of breath, slowing down much to her displeasure, her legs giving out. The female, exhausted hobbled her way into the brush again, hoping that the bushes will hide her.
Which was actually like hoping that no one would see an elephant hiding behind a telephone pole. Her pure white fur was visible even through the darkness as she tried to catch her breath.
