To say that Palia was a collector would have been a bit of a lie. She didn't actively go out and find all the bones that looked like animals or all the rocks of a particular colour. She didn't hoard her treasures and refuse to show them to anyone either. Rather, her collection was something she displayed with pride, making sure everyone knew that she had managed to gather these items against all odds. A first glance would find her collection to be both small and very bland, containing nothing more than a few bones, some shiny rocks, and a few feathers. Why would such a strange collection be so important to the cub? The reason was simple:
All of these things had, at one point in their existence, belonged to one of her sisters.
In that respect, Palia wasn't so much a collector as she was a thief. Whenever she could get away with taking something from one of her sisters she did, adding it to her collection. Usually what she took was food, which had more far reaching consequences, but occasionally she liked to have something a little more concrete. They were her spoils of war and she relished in them. Today she'd managed to take one of her sibling's favourite feather and was admiring it from her place in the shade. It would only be a matter of time before she was found out and Palia was going to enjoy every minute of it.
