Don't take anything Puff does personally, he's a shadow, and so tends to be impolite because he hasn't become accustom to manners, and let's just say his host isn't the best to teach him.

About Puff
Full Name: Puff Trevian Jenkins Pendragon Zulpen--oh forget it. A shadow doesn't need a long name!
Meaning: None. He was named on sight after one of Howl's favorite songs from his first childhood/Welsh name meaning fair
Age- ??? He's a shadow, we don't know. Toddler?
Nicknames: Puff
Personality: Puff is quite possibly the most open shadow there is--or would be, if we could understand what he's trying to tell us. He is also quite possibly the cleanest, seeming to have a certain obsession with cleaning much to the displeasure of his host. He is a neat freak to the extreme, and if ever one tries to keep him from cleaning, he gets upset. Upset would be a bit of an understatement. His tantrums are almost as bad as Howl's.
Like most shadows, he likes repetition. And when we say like, we mean really like. He can mimic most any sound to perfection, but seems to prefer repeating the sounds within his name. He seems to be a very sensitive sort, crying at the smallest thing. He has a certain love for anything that glitters, not unlike his host. (Though said host denies that he would ever sink so low as to steal anything). Puff likes collecting things. No one knows where the things he collects goes, and no one's ever been able to find them after he's taken them.
He is easily pleased, and is almost always cheerful. He likes to follow his host where-ever the wizard might be (to Howl's annoyance).
Little Jackie Paper loved that rascal Puff,
and brought him strings and sealing wax
and other fancy stuff.

About Howl
Full Name: Howell "Howl" Carwyn Jenkins Pendragon Zulpen --
Usually uses the name Jenkins only when he wants to associate with being Welsh.
Meaning: Clear Sight--Remarkable, Loved One
Age- Child, around seven-eight
Nicknames: Howl, Horrible Howl, Heartless Howl, Wizard Howl, the list goes on.
Status: Married--To Sophie!
Personality:
Howl is extremely vain about his appearance, always wearing the finest clothes, and has an air of nobility about him. If he doesn't get his way, Zee had best be advised to be ready to clean. Especially at the toddler stage, this wizard's going to be spouting green slime. He dislikes answering direct questions, preferring to avoid them by pretending to be busy doing something else. He seems to be always able to escape when trouble comes his way, making it seem like he doesn't care as long as he's alright.
Despite all his faults, Howl isn't a bad kid. He can be generous, and is often very kind. He is patient and polite, and will often listen to people's troubles, unless he's courting a girl. Then you'll have trouble getting him to pay attention to anything. He is constantly falling in love, with beautiful girls. Of course, he is as heartless as he describes himself as. He leaves them as soon as he's gotten them to fall in love with him. He doesn't seem able to love a woman long enough for her to love him for who he is--instead of for all the rumors and his talent.
He tends to be cowardly, and admits that he can only be brave if he's telling himself he's not doing what scares him. He is generally dishonest--he claims that his shining dishonesty will be his salvation. He is considerate and charming half of the time, despite being stuck on himself. At times he jokes about being greedy when he really is quite giving--though he has no money sense whatsoever.
