~Aquaclan~
"Look at that tree fall..." I said staring at the broken tree with my littermates. They stared at it pawed the trunk.
"Maybe...they...killed it?" my brother, Blazekit, asked.
"Of course they did!" my sister, Lightkit, said rolling her eyes.
I didn't say anything and looked back. "C'mon you guys. We should come back."
Blazekit sighed, "Fine, Echokit." We began to pad back to camp. But we didn't know that when we got there, that we would be driven out.
As the three of us padded into camp, the clan seemed fine. Nothing was wrong. Our mother, Streamheart, walked up to us.
"Where were you?" She asked sternly.
We looked at each other. "Nowhere..." Lightkit mumbled.
Streamheart glared at us, her eyes drilling into us. It forced me to tell the truth, "Um...we went to see what they-"
I was suddenly interuppted by a battle cry. The red, black, and white pelts of our enemies bursted into our camp. Our warriors sprang into action and began attacking.
"Attack the foxes and badgers!" Scorchclaw, one of our warriors, screeched.
My littermates and I were rushed into the nursery by my mother. She quickly settled us down in a corner and curled her tail around us. I could hear the crys of pain outside of the nursery. I could feel Blazekit shaking. I was about to calm him down and reassure him, but a huge badger barreled into the den.
Streamheart quickly sprang up and stepped in front of us. I knew she was no match for the badger, especially since she only had us a few weeks back. I remembered the hole that me, Blazekit, and Lightkit had dug to get out of camp.
"Mother!" I called, "Squeeze through the hole! We can all get out!" Me being the oldest kit, I began to thrust Lightkit and Blazekit through the hole. Streamheart started backing up toward us and the badger began smashing the sides of the nursery walls. The roof began to crumble. Streamheart was halfway through, but she turned around to grab me. Half of the roof crumbled and fell. The badger moved to the other side and crashed against it.
"Echokit!" Streamheart screeched, turning her body all the way around and raced to me. I stood, frozen, not knowing what to do. My mother reached for my neck fur, but the other side of the roof began to crumble; the side I was on. I turned around, "Go!" I threw Streamheart back through the hole. I felt tiny pebbles and rocks tap my head as I pushed my mother back through. But she was reluctant to leave me. The roof rumbled. And then...well I don't remembered what happened next.
The next thing I knew, I saw beautiful stars twinkle in the sky. A black cat padded up to me. His scent seem strangly...farmiliar.
"Ahh...Echokit...have you died so soon in you're life?"
My heart nearly stopped. I was dead? I turned around to ask a question to the black tom, but he dissapeared.
A while later I figured out that I was in Starclan. The badger had attacked me and the roof crumbled. The badger died as well, and I hoped it lived a cursed eternal life. I watched as my clan was driven out, and Blazekit, Lightkit, and Streamheart left the clan as well. They rejoined Aquaclan, and still believed that I was somehow alive, tracking the clan down. After a while, Aquaclan had left the territory. My mother was grieving terribly, and she often told Aquastar, our leader, to leave her behind. But he would always refuse. Blazekit and Lightkit did not complain and they always believed that I would return to the clan as a hero. But I knew it would never happen. I watched over them, helping them out of tough spots.
Then one day, Blazekit ran across a frozen river. The river had cracked and he fell in. He was still a kit, so he hadn't learned how to swim yet. Only as an apprentice, they could learn. The warriors rushed to help him, but he had already drowned. He soon joined me, and I felt sad and happy at the same time. Sad, because he had died so early, and happy because he seemed so excited to see me. We continued to watch the clan, Lightkit was alone, but clinged to her beliefs.
Many sunrises later, Lightkit was fetching her mother some water, but Streamheart wouldn't take it. She began mumbling, then turned to muttering, then she was pracitly screaming at Lightkit about mine and Blazekit's death. She sprang to life and attacked Lightkit, swiftly killing her. She soon joined us, angry bursted from her body. All of us were together again. We began playing like we always were and we were all introduced to Starclan. A while later, we all had stars in our pelts. We were becoming true Starclan cats. It was dissapointing that we had died such early deaths, but we were all together again. Thinking back on it, all of our deaths had been unessisary. We could have all lived.
A moon later, Aquaclan still hadn't found a home. My littermates watch them all, protecting them from harm. Our mother was grieving so badly, she wasn't eating, drinking, or walking anymore. A few warriors dragged her with them all, but she soon died, grieving. Streamheart joined us and found us again. We said nothing to her and avoided her. But I couldn't keep away from her. I began talking to her again, soon Blazekit as well, and finally Lightkit. She seem so happy now, her pelt glowed as it once did and her eyes glowed so warmly. Stars were in her pelt soon as well, and I found out that the black tom that had greeted me was my father, Shadowsong.
I have now seen Aquaclan find a home. They have settled with Heatherclan. They soon found out that there were four other clans near them. I wish I could tell you more, but it seems as though I have caught up with the present.
