<3 About art! I don't know some of these things and I thought posting here might help....I hope o_o;
1) How do you do line art? 2) What are layers and why are they there? (ex. Gimp and Sai have them).
That's all for now, I might have more later...

Well you might want to wait for other people to reply to your questions but...
for me I line art with either a fine point and I mean the finest point sharpie..or a very good pen...sometimes even with watercolors...and most of the time I like to just darken the pencil lines and leave it black and white....
layers make the piece pop out more...give it more depth...
that's all I can say for right now..me got to go...

<3 Thank you! (understands better). Wait, so with line art, you just go over the art with a marker then scan and then color it in? o.o

Well you can do it one of two ways...
One you can color it in first and then line it so that the line acts as a cover up for flubs in coloring
Or you can line it first and then color using the lining as a guide while trying to blend the line with the color so as to make it look a little bit more natural
Personally I would try blending the lining with the color....but I would seriously wait for others opinions...my advise that I'm giving to you is what I like to do....that doesn't necessarily mean you have to follow it...but I would seriously wait for other people to resond... whee

line art can be colored in before of after and with a dark color pencil you can do the lines or a fine point sharpie pen, also the art doesnt always have to be colored just saying.
layers well its colors on top of other colors to make the art pop
