Meisa and Meisa for Kit-Kat
Actress Kuroki Meisa attended a launch event this week that centers on the significant change in the flavour of Nestle’s Kit Kat snack. She appeared alongside with her alter ego, Meisa Akagi, who is currently used in Kit Kat CMs.
Kuroki, who said she likes the color black, thereby wearing a black outfit, and Akagi, wearing red, have become the new faces of the new “adult” Kit Kat. The new “adult” Kit Kat has a crunchier texture and comes with a black packaging.
During the press conference, reporters asked Kuroki about her “relationship” with Akagi.
“Whenever people tell me that she’s cute, I feel very proud and felt complimented too.” She then added jokingly, “People often told me that we look alike but we’re not twins. She’s my protégé.”

Kuroki Meisa as “Daiwa Woman” in new CM
Tomorrow the new commercial for "Daiwa House", Japan's largest homebuilder, starring actor Yakusho Koji (54) will finally go on air and continue exactly where the previous commercial left off.
In the previous commercial, "Heroine The 1st" the fictional staff of the commercial requested Yakusho to wear the costume of their new image character "Daiwa Woman". Obviously he was dumbfounded by their unreasonable request to wear the costume of a female character and refused to try it one. The staff then asked him who else if not him is going to do it and he said, "Why not someone like Kuroki Meisa?" The staff responds, "You really love her, huh?" It ended after that, but in the new commercial, "Heroine The 2nd" we can see that Kuroki actually accepted the love call and puts on the costume, even though her manager (in the commercial) also refused the costume at first.
The fact that Yakusho loves Kuroki or at least that wants to act as her lover sometime is nothing new. At a recent PR-Event for a new "Epson" commercial he playfully told her, "I'd like to play your lover sometime," but Kuroki smartly replied that she would rather play his daughter instead of a lover. It's funny that the new "Daiwa House" commercial is hinting at his words from that event again.
Nonetheless she's doing a great job at filling out that bodysuit of the fictional heroine. "I love the sentai and hero genre and it was really exciting to actually wear one of those outfits," Kuroki was in very high spirits. "I have a nephew and a niece and I wonder if I have the chance of becoming the children's new hero," she added.
Even if children aren't going to look up to her as their new hero, she can be sure to be the new favorite hero of many men including Yakusho. "My heart was throbbing. She was so sparkling and gorgeous," he was excited.

Sawajiri gets fired, good break for Kuroki.
Meisa Kuroki to replace Sawajiri in "Yamato"

With Stardust Promotion looking to terminate its contract with actress Erika Sawajiri (23), it appears that rising star Meisa Kuroki (21) may be filling in for her in the live-action "Space Battleship Yamato" movie.
The movie itself was confirmed in July, with SMAP member Takuya Kimura (36) playing the lead. Sawajiri was tentatively offered the part of the heroine, Yuki Mori, and this was expected to be her comeback as an actress. She returned to Japan earlier this month, but her agency later refused to approve her appearance in "Yamato."
Sawajiri has previously caused problems for Stardust, and the company has reportedly decided to cancel her contract. Her dismissal is expected to be made official on September 28.
Along with Sawajiri, Kuroki is one of several actresses who were initially considered for the role of Yuki Mori. With Sawajiri out of the picture now, Kuroki has been chosen to replace her, and she was given an unofficial offer last week.

Meisa Kuroki starring in drama version of "Danso no Reijin"

TV Asahi is producing a drama special about the life of Yoshiko Kawashima, a Manchu princess who became a spy for the Kwantung Army and was eventually executed by the Chinese government. Her story was partly responsible for the coining of the phrase "danso no reijin" ("beauty in male attire"), referring to her inclination to dress as a man. Though Kawashima has been depicted in various media throughout the years, including TV Asahi's "Ruten no Ouhi" in 2003 (where Kawashima was played by Makiko Esumi), this will be the first television dramatization focusing on her life.
The drama, currently titled "Danso no Reijin ~Kawashima Yoshiko no Shogai~," stars young actress Meisa Kuroki. Kuroki, who prepared for the part with lessons in Chinese and horseback riding, will play Kawashima between the ages of 14 and 35. Yuki Yagi is taking over for the childhood scenes, and Miki Maya is acting out the later stages of Kawashima's life.
Filming started in mid-April. TV Asahi plans to broadcast the drama by the end of this year.

Meisa Kuroki becomes newest L'Oreal spokesperson
Rising star Meisa Kuroki (21) is all set to become a bigger name worldwide, with the help of a major commercial contract. She has just signed on as a spokesperson for cosmetics brand L'Or&al Paris, whose beauty products are popular in more than 150 countries.
Kuroki has been building her career in Japan since 2004, but she finally got her big international break last year when she starred in the joint Japanese-Chinese film "Subaru," based on a manga about a ballet dancer. Her performance caught the eye of L'Or&al's international general manager Vianney Derville, who praised Kuroki's elegance, beauty, and natural talent.
L'Oreal will feature Kuroki in advertisements around the world, starting with Japan in early March for the release of the new hair care product Damage Care PRO EX. The company's current roster of spokespersons includes top celebrities such as Penelope Cruz, Beyonce, and Eva Longoria.

Kuroki Meisa holds first solo live!
Actress and singer Kuroki Meisa held her first solo live, “ATTITUDE2010“, on October 7th in Tokyo. Meisa performed 14 songs at the event, including her debut single from 2009, “SHOCK- Unmei-“, and her latest song, “LOL!“, which was released on the 6th.
During the live, Meisa made costume changes four times, and highlighted her concert with a sexy dance using a bed. At the end, she was the bearer of good news, as she mentioned that she is willing to hold another live for fans!
