Umuthi'johari was bored. She was so bored that she actually managed to find something to focus on for once, which was an amazing feat for her. Her focus of a choice? A wee little snake. She saw it slithering out from underneath a rock as she left her brother, Arlo's, side as he was being a big bossy-butt again and she didn't want to hear his meanie-weenie tone.
It was a pretty snake, with lots of bright colors like red, black and gold, and made Umuthi smile as she watched it. She had been focusing on the snake for about 10 minutes now, following it wherever it slithered, not paying attention to the fact she had wandered far off from Arlo, Kaito and her daddy, Tandu.
She followed and followed until it managed to find a bolt hole to slither into, and a disappointed look came over her face, "Awww. Come back slither-bug. I want to watch you more." Fleance padded along the savannah, a mostly boring day but it was a pretty one outside. It was one of the wonderful afternoons that he was spending with his daughter- Kimo- while the boys were babysat by his familiar, Yoshiteru. Silently, Fleance laughed, thinking of his poor waterbuck friend. The boys weren't too gentle with his companion, but it was just how they played, and they loved Yoshiteru very, very much. Looking down at his daughter, Fleance smiled, watching the cub bounce happily through grasses taller than herself. He'd offered to carry her in his mouth or to let her ride on his back between his feathery and smoky wings, but indignantly she refused, so she carried on. He had to make very slow strides to allow her to keep up, but she didn't notice, and the times she passed her father she was more than proud of herself. The god chuckled and stopped to rest under a tree, letting his daughter bound along within his sight, now he himself taking the role of babysitter today. Kimo was so happy today! She loved the days her daddy took her out on walks, especially when her brothers were left with smelly ol' Yoshi. She had a funny-looking grin about her face as she thought of the familiar. He was funny looking. She didn't understand why they didn't eat him at times, but he was awful nice to cuddle up to when Daddy was away, and he was a good barrier when her brothers tried to fight her. Today the little cub was a grown lioness on safari on the wild plains, stalking her prey and on a hunt with her father. Of course this was just the creativity of a cub, and she was far from stealthy, and perhaps directly related to that fact, no prey animals were within any sort of close range. She disregarded her father as he lay down to rest, and she 'stalked' on, the same silly smile on her face. But now she became more business-like. Her head dropped low to the ground and she slunk across the land just as she'd seen real lionesses do, and through the parting grasses she heard a noise! Slithering!? Dinner! She watched the tail end of a somethingorother disappear and she ran forward and leapt on the hole. "AHA! I'VE GOT YOU NOW! AHAHA!" She laughed and furrowed her brows, lifted her paws, and was filled with confusion when no meal was underneath. It was then, and only then, that she had company other than her 'meal'. A brown and green and yellow cub stood nearby, and the little seer stared at her, mouth agape and black eyes blinking. She rolled over onto her belly in a playful manner and smiled. "Ohey." Umuthi was spooked as the black and gray lioness cub came bounding over, having spotted what Umu had been following. She jumped slightly, almost as if she were a rabbit instead of a lion and made a loud 'eep' sound before she realized it was just another cub and not something out to eat her whole.
Umu starred at Kimo for a few seconds before her eyes lit up and a smile quickly swept over her face. It was a friend! A friend her own gender, and not a boy like Arlo or Kaito. She was positively ecstatic about this and joyously gave a roar, "Haillo!"

Kimo wrinkled her nose and giggled. "Haha, you're looouudd." She scooted over on her belly, all the whiled smiling and gently touched her friend on the nose, with a small 'boop!' noise to accompany it. "I'm Kimo!" The cub's smile was a mile wide, happy as could be that it was a girl cub like herself and not another stinky boy like Ment or Sayriel or Yoshi.
"I'm a goddess!" Her black eyes gleamed happily and her back end wiggled like a puppy's. Yeah, Fleance still needed to break it to his daughter that she was a half-mortal which still qualified her as a mortal, and not a goddess. But the little girl couldn't help but jump to that conclusion. Her dad was a god, her aunts were godesses, her uncle was a god, her cousins were gods. So she must be too, right? She hadn't known her mother for very long, but Kimo imagined her as a pretty goddess of somethingorother. "Who're you?! Are you a goddess too!?" She chattered on in the chipper way that only cubs can Umuthi made an 'eep!' sound as Kimo scotted over on her belly and poked her on the nose. The brown little girl giggled and poked Kimo back with a big, happy smile on her face, "I'm Umuthi'johari! But Daddy, Arlo and Kaito call me Umu!"
"What's a goddess?" Umu asked, eyes wide with curiosity. It was something she had never heard about, and according to her mommy, things you do not know you should learn. So Umu should learn about this.
Umu's own excitement over the meeting of Kimo, and the chance to learn what a 'goddess' was showed just as much as Kimo's, as her little round butt started wiggleing side to side with her tail and started doing her little bunny hop. Kimo chirped, "Umu!" she smiled and upon hearing her question, she tilted her head. Didn't everyone know!? "A goddess is a lioness with super special powers! And I'm immordal! My dad's immordal too, he's a god of ashes or something." The little cub smiled and continued, "When he walks, instead of footprints, he leaves ashes! They're fun to play in and I get real dirty." She wrinkled her nose to accompany her grin. Oh yeah! "Plus my daddy has wings!" they were cool, especially the part she could run her paws through, but she sometimes wondered why she didn't have any. But no matter! Daddy had told her about gods or goddesses he'd met and not all of them had wings.
Kimo didn't notice that she started to make the same movements as Umu, but they were so much fun! The two cubs must have looked silly wiggling and twisting and bouncing about, but it was good fun. Kimo asked with her black eyes wide open, "So what're you?" "I'm just a girl lion," Umu responded, she was absolutely enthralled about the tales of Gods and Goddesses and how they have wings and powers and all sorts of neat things. She'd have to tell her Daddy of this!
"Gods have wings? Like birdy wings?" Umu asked, very curious to see these wings Kimo's Daddy had, "Can I see your Daddy's wings, Kimo?"
Umu was so excited. She was meeting new people, learning new things, making new friends! She hadn't made a new friend since she saw Mr. Spenta so this was doubly exciting for her. Kimo's face fell. Well it must not be any fun for her to be a normal girl lion. But Umu seemed to be making do alright. When she asked about the wings and such, Kimo nodded, "Yeah! Well, not all of them. Not everyone has wings, and sometimes the wings are like bat wings or... like... I dunno, not birdy wings! Daddy's are like that. They're feathery and then they're smoky and, uh... Not feathery?" The little cub pursed her lips and tilted her head. They were hard to describe, her father's wings. Better to see them in person. And Umu wanted to! That was great!
Kimo smiled and nodded, still wiggling all the while. She'd never made a friend like Umu before, and she knew her daddy would love to meet any friends of hers. He always wanted to know who she was with, maybe he wanted to make friends too! "C'mon!" she shouted and waddled off in the direction of her resting father.

Fleance had heard a cub's voice from not too far away, but dismissed it as his daughter talking to a bug or even an inanimate object- it was very much like her to do that. And he was sorry that he didn't let the girl make more friends, but it was his paranoia and over-protectiveness that made him fear for his cubs at every turn. So when he saw his daughter pop out of the taller grasses with a similar form in tow, he was surprised, to say the least. The god tilted his large head and smiled hesitantly, shifting nervously. "Who's your little friend, Kimo?" He watched the cub bound like his own, and bobbed his head in acknowledgment when she shouted "Umu!"

As Umu bounded over to Kimo's Dadddy with her, she felt almost awestruck as she looked upon Fleance. He was massive! Far bigger than her own father, and her father was a pretty big dude, at least to her. Umu giggled and pawed at the ground as she stayed a slight ways behinds Kimo, uncertain of how she should proceed.
"Um, Um..." Umu began, taking a deep breathe as she addressed the god, "Hello Mr. Kimo's Daddy! My name is Umuthi'Johari."
She couldn't wait to tell her Daddy of this! She met a god and a goddess, and they were gonna be her new friends! So exciting! Maybe she should bring her Daddy back with her sometime so that he can meet Kimo and her daddy too! That way her daddy has a daddy-friend with Kimo's daddy!

Fleance watched the little cub curiously. "It's nice to meet you, Umuthi. You can call me 'Mr. Fleance'. That's my name. Fleance." She was a cute little cub (but Kimo was cuter). For the god, it was nice to see his daughter with a female friend. She was growing up around an awful lot of testosterone. He didn't really know how to act around other cubs, though. Easy enough to be with his own, but another's...
Kimo nuzzled against Fleance and looked up at him with her black eyes. "Me n' Umu are BEST FRIENDS, Daddy!" She was all smiles and happiness and sunshine. The little cub wiggled over to Umu and nuzzled against her new friend. She was SO EXCITED! And she wasn't entirely sure why. Playfully, she gummed Umu's ear and giggled.

"Okie dokie, Mr.Fleance," Umu smiled, as she got nuzzled by Kimo and proceeded to nuzzle her back with a happy little pur. New friends were the best, and best friends was even better. Umu was so happy with Kimo and her's new friendship she started to bounce where she sat in happiness.
"My Daddy's gonna be so excited that I have a new best friend!" She exclaimed, giggling and pulling away as Kimo gummed her ear, "That tickles!"
Umu let out a playful growl and gummed back at Kimo in between her giggles and laughter, having forgotten that the reason that Kimo had brought her to her daddy, Mr. Fleance, was so that Umu could see his gigantic wings and possibly play with those.

Fleance sat back on his haunches and watched the two cubs with a faint grin on his face. They were entertaining... that was for sure. He was much more content to watch than to participate. The mighty god laid down and closed his wings in close to his body, crossing his paws one over the other and resting his chin on them.
"Well I'm glad Kimo has a new best friend too, Umu."
Kimo grinned at her father and rolled on her back playfully, pawing at Umu's black nose. "Ahaha!" her grin turned to a tricky smirk and she draped herself over Umu's back. The cub reached over and nommed the other ear. "I've gotchu now, Umu!" Kimo too, had forgotten the reason for dragging Umu along.

Umu's giggles filled the air as she played with Kimo, wrestling, playfully gumming at the other's ear, all the games little lionesses their age loved to do. She really was happy to have made a friend in Kimo and hoped their friendship would last forever, but for now she was far more occupied with winning their girly wrestling match.
"Oh Noooo," Umu whined, trying to flip over to grab ahold of Kimo with her paws, giggling like a loony bird throughout the entire process, "I must not lossseee."

"You can't win! I'mma goddess, 'member!?" Kimo's features were scrunched as she did her best to conquer Umu. Fleance closed his eyes, content with this childish display. All was right in their world for the time being, and watching his daughter, he was glad Umu hadn't commented on the strange color of her eyes. She was especially sensitive about it with her peers. With laughter and play-growls filling his ears, Fleance laid down to nap, unwittingly becoming part of the battle ground for the two cubs.Kimo used her dad as high ground and leapt from his back and onto Umu. A battle cry split the air and she fell on her face. Their war continued for hours, or maybe minutes until the two cubs tired out next to the great god.The end.
