Just make sure to be nice, every time I've ever met a Katara at Fanime she turned out to be a real...well, I'm not gonna say it.
So try and be nice.
And don't drink like Halloween Katara did or you'll end up pissing everyone off.

I always want to go to Anime Boston in April or Connecticon in July (it ended yesterday, actually), but I always have work or college. One of these times I hope I'm free to go!

RockyRoadSmith I always want to go to Anime Boston in April or Connecticon in July (it ended yesterday, actually), but I always have work or college. One of these times I hope I'm free to go! Why not schedule the weekend for a holiday next year?

I'm going to Natsucon in St. Louis this coming weekend, it'll be my first con. Sadly, no Avatar cosplay for me (I cut my hair, so no Katara. It's a good length for Azula, but I can't pull her off - I don't have the heart for it - or the lack of heart, more likely) Plus I didn't want anyone confusing me with Shyamalan's recent debacle. I'm going dressed as Pokemon Gym Leader and grass-type trainer Erika.

I sure hope so - I have to watch my friend's eleven year old daughter while I'm there, mostly as a bodyguard (she is so adorable that the last con she went to dressed as bellosom trainers would pick her up and try and carry her off. Hence why I'm a grass trainer. ^^) but that mean's they are paying for my badge, so I think it's a pretty good deal.

I actually had a friend who dressed as an eevee, the same thing happened to her since she was so short, and thus, easy to carry.

I'm am now officially no longer a con virgin.
Just to show that I never do anything halfway, even though it was my first con I ended up helping a friend run a panel. It was a Fruits Basket banquet, and since my Erika kimono looked a bit like Ritsu's.....yeah......I had to play truth or dare in character... eek Now that I know how fun that was for the audience, I would love to see that happen at an Avatar panel. I will tell you that there was kissing involved.
Answer me this, though - if you crossplay a crossdresser, what exactly is it? I was a girl pretending to be a guy pretending to be a girl, which was a lot harder than it would seem.
