"WELCOME, to the RCA Program!" barked a rather confident Coyote, his human standing behind him as he greeted the many humans and animals that had arrived here, by whatever means. "As you may, or may not, know, we have arranged to have a veritable paradise around the area for a short while, in the hopes of promoting the spring of new relationships in the area, be they long-lasting or short-lived." The coyote perched on his hind legs at the edge of the stage, as he addressed the crowd.
"Food and refreshments have been provided for those of us not wearing a natural fur coat." Spake the human behind the dog, motioning to a nearby bar, where waited a wide selection of food. "Please converse with your packs to find out who will be participating and take the rest of them to occupy our designated areas. You are requested to make sure that only a maximum of two are joining the tables, as we'd like to prevent any confusion."
"There is also food for those of you participating. Please note the baskets at each table: They are there to entertain those sitting there until there is a rotation, and you've moved to meet another creature. The two couples who most connect by the sound of the bell will recieve a trip to a pleasant location, where they will be welcome to partake of any and all attractions in the area, while their humans and fellow packs are well-cared for in another sector of the same place."
"Let the gathering begin!" Barked the human, throwing his arms up excitedly as the coyote on the stage gave a long howl. The overhead lights doused themselves while tapers lit up at each of the tables for the animals, to set the mood for the dating-interested, and things were off.

I hadn't had much choice in the selection from my own pack: they'd made their own decisions. Although the antlered coyote had wanted to go in, the others insisted that, because of her improperly-formatted hormonal system, constantly raging, but never quite becoming mature enough to offer a shot at reproduction, she wouldn't have half a chance in the humans' version of hell of developing a meaningful relationship. Of course, it was just Zippo's way of showing her hurt feelings about being in the same boat, as she slunk off to pout in the far corner.
A bit more discussion later, Druid and David had been convinced to step onto the floor, and pushed their way out into the tables, setting down apart from one another, wondering who would sit accross from them and nibbling at some of the many foods available at the tables.
