Ever sice Gaga's fans have witnessed Bad Romance; apparently girls have been wanting those oversized, big, round eyes. There is a way to get them besides computerized effect. Though they would not physicially stretch your eyes to be bigger as in the video, the "illusion (like makeup)" of bigger eyes could be achieved through circle contact lenses.
simple enough, right? wrong. These lenses are only allowed to have with a dr. approved perscription (every one has a different cornia). BUTTTTT "These contact lenses aren't available in the United States, and for good reason: they're illegal. What happens is companies based in places like Asia sell the lenses to American consumers over the Internet. They're fairly easy to obtain. All you have to is search for circle contacts on the web, and bingo! It looks like several websites offer these contacts and they don't ask for proof of prescription."
if handled wrong, your eyes would take a big damage, leading to imflamation or even BLIDNESS.
*my take* dear fans, please dont be fan failures. Gaga would NEVER want any of her monsters to go blind. yes, gaga wore them for a BIT in her Bad Romance MV, but she doesnt wear them around 24/7. fans shouldn't either. if anybody goes blind because of "gaga inspired lenses", the only person the paparazzi are going to blame is gaga stressed and it's not her fault AT ALL. you've been warned smile
what are you takes on this?

I think this should be posted in the Lady gaga forum since so many of the fan failures are there.

I've read about this a few days ago ..
And a warning should always be appreciated, in my opinion. Thanks, hani. smile
But I also agree with Marokia to a certain degree. I've got pride in this guild, and I'm pretty sure we're 100% immune to fan failures. biggrin
So basically, saying that I'm pretty sure is not eligible for 100%, but you get what I mean. =

You have a point.. If I did it I wouldn't want Gaga to get the blame.. =( Well then again people are stupid and they start pointing fingers without ever letting people talk.. I know because of experience.. emo It can also lead to problems and it's not pretty..

Even before her video, circle lens were popular. There actually are FDA approved-American circle lenses; Acuvue Define.
Of course, you'd have to ask your doctor for them, but they're perfectly safe. There is nothing wrong with circle lens. It won't make everyone blind; it depends on how you take care of them. There are girls who've worn circle lens for more than five years, and they aren't blind or don't have any eye problems/infections.

If you're going to buy a pair get Acuvue Define. And if you're going to buy a pair from online, make sure the website asks for your prescription so they can make you a custom pair.
There is nothing wrong with wearing them if you take care of them properly. And don't wear them 24/7 either.

They probably wouldn't be the kind of things I wear every since day. I think it's the kind of thing I would wear for cosplay or something.

I read about those lenses somewhere and how harmful they can be. Apparently there is a video on youtube that teaches girls how to pull off that Bad Romance look, even though the lenses have been designated as harmful. I hope that no crazy fans have ordered some and have ended up permanently damaging their eyes.

If they do hurt their eyes, it shouldn't be Gaga's fault. It's their own. It's pretty stupid how the media blames the celebrity even though the celebrity doesn't even know the person.
Actually, my sister wears contact lens... I think they're circle ones. Or something, I don't know.
But hopefully she doesn't wear them 24/7.
Actually, she doesn't wear them unless she goes out or something. My family is telling her to stop wearing them because they can damage/infect your eyes permanently.

Actually, I've read somewhere that circle lenses aren't all that much more dangerous than normal contacts. Sure they're a small bit more dangerous but not really that much to care about. Apparently, some circle lenses are smaller than actual contacts.

Wasn't the Hello Kitty shoot like a year ago? I always thought the Hello Kitty shoot came before Bad Romance.
