The Southern plains are ruled over by the Demon King Gaap. He holds dominion over water and his lands reflect that. For the most part is it great lakes and rivers of black, with a few mountains here and there. The most notable aspect of the lands however is icy waste that is home to Gaap's lair. This part of the plain is completely ice, which is a great advantage to the king. Many miles into this waste is the mighty cave which serves as Gaap's throne. A mass network of tunnels and caves that all lead to dead ends. The throne chamber lies in the very bottom of the cave, completely blocked off so that only he and his men can reach it. It is possible to try and blast through the walls leading to it, but most who attempt this die a quick death.

Gaap emerged from the pool of water that surrounded his throne. The cold, black, liquid dripping off his body as he moved to sit in the great chair. The cavern was empty at the moment, save for him and his guest. Most of his minions were off scouting the East, checking up on his new ally. "Welcome home."

" Is it home?" Her voice was smooth and dark, the deceptive wash of the ocean just before a Tsunami. lifting her chin she studied the high ceiling, sweeping her gaze around the room as she tried to recall something about this place. time had left her behind in that disgusting mortal realm, there her kind had died out.. here they thrived. drawing her swords she offered one to him, studying him over her shoulder in silent challenge. he would earn her loyalty, she served no one who did not.

He grabbed the sword and looked at it awkwardly. His training was in the ways of the magi, so the blade felt a bit odd in his hands. "A duel? Very well, it's been years since I've actually used a sword. But I think I can manage." Taking a few steps back he stood in the offensive position and gave a cocky smile. Training or not, he still had his vanity. "When you're ready."

She did not turn to face him, simply waiting until he seemed ready before she was spining around.. slaming her blade into his with a side sweep before twirling around him, her blade flashing towards his exposed right shoulder.

He reacted quickly and tried to get out of the sword's way. It still nicked him slightly though. Gah, how do I use this thing. He thought franticly, taking the blade and swinging it towards her back. This would have been tons easier if he was using magic. But he wouldn't in this match. Steel vs. steel and nothing more.

" Slow." Crea growled, ducking his attack and swatting his hand the the flat of her blade. " do not grip it so tightly, you restrict your wrist.. and in result, your movement." danceing to the side she swatted the side of his knee, just hard enough to sting as she corrected his stance. " never loose your footing, a weak stance ends with blood." To anyone watching it would be clear.. she was teaching him how to fight back, even if her methods were harsh.

Ugh, I hope no one is watching this. Gaap thought, taking her advice and loosening his grip. He was vain, true. But in his current state, the help was well appreciated. Correcting his stance, he stood defensively and waited for her strike.

Noding in approval she gave a testing sweep of her blade, aiming for his shoulder again to show him the difference of his reaction options. " Never trust your life to magic, rely on your own abilities to save your hide." Magic could be syphoned, blocked, and absorbed.. a physical attack would be restricted only by the enemies ability to dodge.

"It's worked pretty damn well in the past." He said, quickly moving to parry the attack and swinging his own blade upwards at her chest, taking the offensive. Swordplay had never really appealed to Gaap. But, she did have a point. Though magic Seth was able to take control of him and use him like a puppet. Maybe this lesson wasn't as pointless as it seemed.

Her expression made it hard to read her thoughts on his comment, rocking back on her heels as she studied him calmly. she did not wince or curse as the blade slid into the skin on her arm.. and didnt blink as it slid through without harming her. " it is fine to be smart with magic.. my blades will never work against me, after all.. but Gaap.." steping forward she knocked his sword aside, kicking his leg and catching the front of his shirt to keep him up. " Bound or not, you are our lord. You die from this petty vanity of yours, and we all die trying to save the kingdom you leave behind." letting him go she took the sword from his hand, checking her blades for damage.

Gaap scowled at her and walked back to his throne. "You need not worry about my vanity. True I am vain, but I won't let it effect my politics." He hated that word, 'politics'. it was too human for his tastes. "We've entered an alliance with the East, they have a new ruler and I'm quite chummy with him. However, I don't trust him. Our men are out there now, scouting and making sure he's doing what needs to be done. If he decides he going to go back on our deal, we'll be the first to know." Like clockwork when he said scouting, a minor demon approached his throne and mentally relayed some information to him. "Well, he's definitely a man who puts pleasure before business. Already I have doubts about him...What do you think about all this?"

Hearing the report herself she sheathed her swords.. her dark gaze unsettling as it rested on him. " I think you just found your foot hold. Befriend his mate, and have a direct line in keeping him loyal to his word." Females always had a place of honor in a mated relationship.. if his woman liked the south kingdom, so too would the male.. even if it were only to avoid his female's wrath.

"I like your thinking." Gaap said simply, dismissing the scout away. "Get ready to travel to the East. What better time to make friends that early on?" Calling a few more demons to his side, he retreated to his personal room and grabbed some essentials. After a short while he came back out with a small pack on his back. "Out of random curiosity. How good are your social skills?"

A snort was his only answer, Crea closeing her eyes and folding her arms over her chest. she hardly knew what 'social' was.. after all, she had just spent the last portion of her life killing humans that pissed her off. of course.. everything pissed her off, so.. a lot of humans died.
