Welcome to the Marvel vs. DC Universe Guild!
Whether you are new to our world, or just want to look over this new guide, I’m glad you’re taking the time to read through this…hopefully helpful How-To manual. This page is designed to be informative, help new members navigate and survive this guild, and to give current members a refresher.
I hope you all find this guide helpful. More information can, and probably will be added as time goes on. Please, if you have any questions, or have anything you’d like to add to this guide, just let me know.

Basics and Information
Question: What is this Guild?
Answer: The Marvel vs. DC Universe Guild is a guild where you can make friends, talk about comics, participate in other activities, and get your role play fix.
Question: What makes this Guild different from other Marvel / DC Guilds?
Answer: Our role play is PLOT ORIENTED. We don’t (try very hard not to) have random or non-stop fighting, nor are things stale and boring. We have Action, Romance, Murder, Betrayal, and plenty of drama.
Though some members have to take extended leave from the guild, we try to make sure that things are still moving.
We also have a “What If” forum for Role Playing outside of the main RP. Such as a mainly Romance RP, a Back in Time RP, and a Villains Only RP.
Question: What is the basic plot then?
Answer: Currently, the Marvel Universe, DC Universe, and a few others have been fused together thanks to a demi-god. He plans on destroying the planet, while Spectre seeks out vengence. Supergirl has been taken over by what is basically a nasty symbiote, and isn’t her sweet self any longer. Many of the heroes from both worlds have disappeared thanks to apparent demonic activity. Many, many other sub-plots are unraveling as well.
Question: What if I’m not a huge role playing fan?
Answer: We have plenty of things to do besides RP. Contests, Events, Art, Fanfiction, Random Chat and Discussion…
Question: What is expected of me?
Answer: 1.) Stay active! Sign-in at the beginning of each month and state if and when you’ll be absent for an extended period.
2.) Keep it PG13. Nothing offensive, heavy language, descriptive gore or hanky-panky, etc…
3.) Read the Rules and obey them.
4.) Try to be at least semi-literate. More than just one sentence if you can. The more you write down, the easier it is for others to reply.
5.) Have fun!

Sapphire Spider (Saph)
* Been here since the guild began; knows almost everything and anything that’s happened here.
* Tries to be on once a day.
* At least semi-lit.
* Frequently busy with to-do work.
* An artist, illustrator, writer, and makes comics.
* Both captain AND an adult…so what I say goes you whipper-snappers.
* Does not bite…if you need something, ask.
VICE-CAPTAIN
Elesariin (E)
* Has done a LOT for the guild.
* What she says goes as well.
* Often busy with to-do work as well. Occasionally needs time off from guild.
* Knowledgeable and runs quite a few of the heroes.
* Literate Role Player.
CREW
Comic_Book_Joker (CBJ)
* Has done a LOT for the guild.
* Knowledgeable and runs quite a few of the villains.
* Literate Role Player.
* In the Navy, extended leaves are common.
Ferral Fallen
*In charge of cleaning out inactive members.

*In charge of keeping the “What If” Forum clean.
PAST CAPTAINS

* Original owner and co-founder of the guild.

* Second owner and co-founder of the guild.
BEING / BECOMING CREW
CREW:
* Must be active or have done a lot to help the guild.
* Must have some kind of duty within the guild.
* Cannot take any kind of action outside their duty without the Captain’s written consent.
* Must show that they are responsible and will continue and maintain their duty well.
* Must have been a member for a certain amount of time prior to becoming a Crew member.
* Must ask the Captain to join the Crew; stating what they want to be in charge of and why / or why they think they should be in the crew. (What they have done for the guild, etc…)
*Crew can and will be demoted if they fail to do their job or provide reason to be demoted.

RULES
The Rules can be found here. But, for a quick look at the most important rules here, I’ll list them here as well.
MAJOR RULES:
~ Follow Gaia’s TAS !!
~ Keep it PG 13
* No absolutely filthy language. It is perfectly fine for characters to curse, especially if it’s a situation that would call for ungraceful talking. In fact, I don’t mind seeing damn, or s**t, or anything that someone would let slip without thought. But…I do not want to see someone drop the F-bomb or anything of that rank on here. If you want your character to say something vile, censor it. (( B****** ! -or- $%#@!!! )) This goes for if you’re character is mad enough to spit one out every other word.
{{{ If this bothers you, just keep in mind that some of us don’t enjoy listening to it, let alone getting on here and reading. }}}
* Keep the clothes on. Romance is perfectly fine, in fact we enjoy seeing a possible couple get together. Kissing is fine, cuddling is fine, PDA is fine….but if it goes to the bedroom, keep it out of the guild. We all get the picture at what is about to happen…some things are better left to the imagination anyway. If you want to continue the thing, take it elsewhere. Remember what kind of site you’re on.
And Please Be TASTEFUL! If you wouldn’t see it in a PG13 movie, or in a Marvel or DC comic, we don’t want to see it here.
* Easy on the blood and guts. Violence is perfectly accepted…I mean this is a super-hero RP after all. Will blood be spilled? Yes. Will bones be broken? Yes. Will villains have a few moments where they can torture a hero? Yes.
….But we do not need to see any Saw level gore described in DETAIL here…
If you want to torture a character, fine. (( IF the other player has allowed it beforehand. )) But please don’t get into too much detail about it. Give us a good picture if you want to, but if you want to show off your gruesome ways with words, do it elsewhere.
**** Basically, if you wouldn’t see it in a PG 13 movie, we don’t want to see it here. ****
~ No Power Playing, God-Moding, or Auto Hitting.
* Give other players a chance to counter attack. If they don’t mind you knocking them into next Tuesday, they’ll let you hit them. No one likes being unable to fight their opponent at all….fun factor becomes non-existent.
* I don’t care if your character is Spectre or Superman or Galactus or someone that can god-mode at will….don’t do it unless it’s OK’ed by the other player. You’ve got a power-play character, so give the rest of us a chance.
~ No fighting OOC (out of character). This is a friendly guild. No upsetting the other members please. Arguments happen, but please try to settle it peacefully.
~ PLEASE POST CHARACTER PROFILES IF YOU TAKE A CHARACTER. OR STATE THAT YOU ARE USING SOMEONE IN THE NPC FORUM.
* Doing so will save everyone a LOT of headaches. Weather it’s a new person being confused because they thought the character wasn’t taken….or if it’s ME explaining WHY someone didn’t make a profile if everyone else has to.

ABOUT STAYING ACTIVE
In this guild, we like to have everyone be as active as they can be. Inactive members without an excuse aren’t members for very long. We know there’s a world outside the guild, and sometimes the world can keep you away from the computer all together. But we try to provide ways for you to let us know that you’ll be gone, therefore given an excuse.
SIGN-IN
The first week of every month, ALL members will be expected to sign-in. You must state that you are here, and who all you are still wanting to RP. ( Sapphire Spider: All ) or ( Sapphire Spider: Only X, Alex, and Sapphire.)
This is to let us know that you are still active, interested, and making an effort. Even if you don’t post a thing the entire month, if you sign-in each month, you’re safe.
Members who miss two months are unexcused and booted out. You are allowed to miss one month every now and then, but not in a row.
If you know you’re going to miss the first week, you can state so in the ABSENT page, or let an active crew member or Captain know. You will have an excuse for missing the week then.
EXCUSED LIST
This list is for people who cannot make the monthly sign-in, and have a reasonable excuse. ( Frequent and/or unexpected leave, limited computer access, etc…) This reminds those in charge of booting out inactive members that these people were unable to even get to a computer, so they are excused.
ABSENT
This page is designed for you to state if and when you know you’ll be absent for a period of time. This way, we all know that you will be gone, and will give you an excuse. This also helps whoever else you’re Rping with know that they’ll have to wait for so long to interact with your character again, rather than waiting everyday for you to update, not knowing you’re not able to.
Sign-in once a month, let us know if you’ll be gone for a while, and you should be fine.

ABOUT CHARACTERS
Alright, now for the fun stuff.
We have a wide variety of characters already out and about, but there are an even greater number of characters that are still available.
Want to play a character? First you need to make sure that they aren’t already taken…
CHARACTER LIST
* Lists all characters that are claimed and who they are played by.
* Lists what previously owned characters are now available to be played.
* Shows how long it has been since the page was last updated.
NPC
* Characters that are temporary or on a played-as-needed basis.
* Lists who currently is being played and by whom. This way you can ask the player if you may play them, or if they are still needed to further a plot.
* God-Mode / Power Play characters are NPC Characters only. Like Charles Xavier, Phoenix, Sentry, etc…
(( Unless the player can play them WELL and play them FAIRLY. ))
*Alright, so you character is available….now what?
Now, you go right on over to the appropriate Character Profile and make them a nice, neat little bio. The bio to fill out is fairly self-explanatory. Just give us all some info on your character. Marvel Character, DC Character, Made Up Character, Other Character…
* Oh no! The character I wanted is taken….now what?
In a world spliced together like this….it wouldn’t be surprising if a character from an alternate universe similar to the character YOU wanted was there, now would it?
If you want a character, you are allowed to create a character that is basically the same as the one you wanted to play. You‘ll have to give them a different name, to reduce confusion for other Role Players. It would also help if their costume was a bit different as well. They may have similar powers, costume, and lifestyle as the character you wanted, but it just can‘t be EXACTLY like the character you wanted.
( Iron Cross of Earth 7.….like an alternate version of Iron Man. Chrome armor, real name is Jasper Stone.)
You will have to put your new character’s bio in the Made-Up Forum, listing what universe it’s from and their alignment. (Good, Evil, Neutral, etc..)
Profile’s filled out! Now what?
No need to wait for an approval, jump right into the game! If there is something wrong, we will let you know asap so that the problem may be sorted out before you get too far into the game.
What if I don’t want to play a character any more?
Oh, there are many ways to get rid of your character…
* Have them killed off by another character. There are probably a few people with villains that wouldn’t mind letting them have a moment of victory. Ask someone.
* State that you don’t want the character and see if someone else wants it.
* Last resort….let me know and I’ll baby sit them until one of the above options becomes available. In quite a few cases, I’ve taken over another player’s characters. Some get killed off, some become part of the greater scheme of things, and some…um…just disappear like other inactive characters.

ABOUT EACH FORUM
Alright, now it’s time for me to give you an idea on what each Forum is about. That way you don’t have to guess or go through each one of them trying to figure it out. :3
MAIN FORUM
This is the first forum you will come to. Since it’s the first page everyone usually see’s, it has most of the important things on it. Such as Announcements, the Monthly Sign-In, Rules, Character Info, and other things members need to let everyone else know about.
In other words, this is the important page.
BATTLE FORUM
This is the place where the main RP is played. It has a LOT of places inside of it, and new ones are added sometimes, so I wont’ list them all here. There will be a page made just for the locations at a later point. More than likely it will be one the Main Forum, or in the SHIELD Files.
Basically, you decide where you want your character to appear at, and just have at it from there. If you want to leave to another location, simply state:
EXIT (character) to (new place)
And when you go to the other place, simply state:
ENTER (character) from (wherever you were before)
Trust me, it helps everyone if you do that.
ART FORUM
This is the place to show off your favorite pictures, your own art or art shop, or just talk about art in general.
FAN FICTION & MISC
This is the place where you can make your own fan fictions and post them for others to enjoy, as well as ask about fanfic ideas.
WHAT IF
This is the place where you can play and create other comic-based Role Plays!
Such as our “Almost Got ‘Im” RP that’s a villians only thing. Our “Amora’s Arena” that’s more of a romance based RP. Or our “Back in Time” RP that let’s your character arrive at various places in time.
If you’d like to make a RP, by all means. :3
SHIELD FILES
This forum is still greatly under construction.
This place will have complete summaries on EVERYTHING in the guild. From each place in the Main RP, Characters, Deaths, just about everything. It’s basically where we will keep records of everything so people can look back and know just what all has happened here, that way they don’t have to spend hours trying to read through everything.
JUNK YARD
This place is where we stash all inactive forums. If you’d like to try and revive something, go ahead and ask.
CREW CHAT
This is the place where the crew and captains can talk and discuss things concerning the guild.
OOC
This is the place where you can have random discussions, serious talk, complete silliness, or anything you’d like.
SPECIAL OCCASIONS
This is the place where we hold CONTESTS, EVENTS, and PARTIES! If you want to try and earn prized, this will be the place to look.

IMPORTANT PLOT EVENTS
I will give this part a total update once I can double check everything to get all of the important things down.
Basically, the plot so far has been:
X, a deity from another universe has merged the Marvel and DC world together, along with several people from other universes. It was first thought that he had done it all for entertainment, but it is now known that he plans to destroy everything.
Supergirl has been bonded with what is basically a symbiote. It has turned her against her cousin and most of the other heroes. It has recently taken complete control over her psyche.
Latveria has been completely destroyed. X mansion has been split in half, as well as SHIELD, and Titans Tower has been completely destroyed with only a few survivors.
Recently, Doctor Strange discovered that most of the heroes have suddenly vanished. He was moments later abducted himself.
