"I met a woman once, I gave her my best shot"
"But never did I talk and talk and talk"

"If I had her back, I'd be as real as my age"
"I so don't blame them, I wouldn't do the same"

"But I can blame them, I'd sing her this"

It had been far too long since the past had last haunted her, here she felt as if she had a fresh start, had a life of freedom and lack of orders to chase around. It was finally a place she could have some fun; it was peaceful. Her attained life in the Kawani lands had brought her smiles and hope however a part of her deep down still felt like a heavy weight hung over her heart. She couldn't run from it forever as much as she wished she could or to at least have a choice. Today that would all break away, a spiral repeating itself.

Dice had joined a new herd recently and had much guidance from the Alpha, Neria. She was slowly starting to fit in with the Imp's, they were all friendly and welcoming. More than what she had ever been used to even when everyone around her had loved her. She made her way down the mountain trail the rocky terrain disturbing her graceful walk to small stumbles and hiccup mistakes. Ok, there was still somethings she needed to get used to around here but it was nothing time couldn't cushion. She stared down at the clearing as she forwarded into it, the grass gently carressing her hooves and short feathering as she walked the breeze had taken a liking to her hair, brushing it back to the wind and letting stray strands blindfold her spacey gaze.

She had no idea where she was going she just wanted to get out and be on her own for a short while, it had been one lot of company to the next in the short time she had traveled around. The lands were full of watchful eyes and random encounters. She halted as a shiver ran up her spine and her mind grasped a dangerously terrible feeling. She had felt the same one from time to time and it always made her stop. she felt as if her throat had knotted each time, that her mind became cloudy and blank, hooves heavy and her body tied to whatever made her feel that way. That's when she noticed it.

The chimes.

How was she so dumb to have not realized such an obvious distraction? There he was in his long feathered boa, his golden piercings, that amazingly soft fur and hair and those adorable little features of a cat that mutated the agile stallion. Her heart sank feeling the heat rise to her cheeks and her gaze to turn soft. Such guilt binded her. What else could she have done? It was a crazy world down there...

Boris Airay had told Madoka that he had to do something, truth was that he wasn't lying he did have something to do but the concept would have been unacceptable. He was spying. The reason he had come to the foreign lands in the first place was to find her. The only reason he once had to keep safe, to feel better about himself and have value. He would never admit his emptyness to her it would hurt her and yet he still hadn't told her how he felt a certain string was still pulling him back. His hints had been obvious and she had been completely oblivious now the others were always around her who still remained in the Heartlands and he was left without distraction contributing to the loneliness that bestowed him. Dice, he had seen her face numerous times now out of the corner of his eyes except the next minute she would be gone and he would contemplate if he was losing it. He still loved her, no doubt otherwise why would he be sneaking about?

He didn't know.

That damn hatter had left the Heartlands and he knew his scheming butt was in the same direction. He was not winning, he wouldn't allow it. He had earned this, yes he HAD. The hatter was selfish in his eyes, a drama queen, a big mouth and had a lack of respect and consideration. He frowned in his thoughts as he elegantly and swiftly glided around each tree in his path along the forest border. He had always figured the river would be the most populated area since everyone needed to drink so that's why he was there a lot of the time before going back to his herd where Madoka had found a home in. It was easier now there wasn't a chance she was going to turn up at any second she just thought he was in Heartland in differen't places. If anyone asked, he would just say he was fishing for food but that was far from the actual reason. Not like him being there or not made a difference... He always had made a difference to Dice though. That's how it lead him to the river once again and plonked his rear down by the edge, his tail wriggling in the air side to side behind him and his eyes collecting the visuals under the sky coloured surface.

This was bad. She had to do something, move her hooves and get out of there! Or say something to catch his attention before it was too late! Her head span, the feelings bubbling back up from their depths. It was too late, she wanted to hear his voice in her ear, feel his embrace, his comforting words and the soothing chimes that made her feel like it would all be alright, all the pressure would soon come to an end. Temptation had tempted her to a new level. With the feeling regained to at least move however her vocals had not yet returned leaving her speechless, she trotted after him, his paces more like ten steps quicker than her pace but she kept them up quick and sharp trying to gain the distance now seperating them. Part of her mind argued with itself, if she wanted to do this and become apart of that twisted fate again or to just pack it up and save herself, to just turn around; it was too much.

She couldn't do it. She had to see him, now it was her only option - Blinded with the 'best intentions.'

She was scared and frightened having to follow him in to the forest where she had been attacked almost straight after her arrival into the Kawani. She was cautious, her eyes twitching to all kinds of corners trying not to think about the fierce wolf like mutant which had captured her. This time she may not be so lucky. She trudged forward, the determination pushing her on to find this lost little kitty. She cared too much to let anything happen to him.

Then like the chance had been landed on her purposely he was there, sat by the river in his vibrant, cheerful glow. She slowed in her trot, looking at his back warmly and finally halted behind him. Her ears swiveled backwards and her eyes drooped. She could feel tears wanted to well out and pour rivers but she fought against it and stayed stood in silence until the courage was found to confront him.

"Boris..?" Her quiet voice pleaded. she needed to know this was real, not a dream and not some trick her mind had cruely played on her.

Sometimes if you wished hard enough, those wishes would be granted, that was what he was once told. He never thought that it could be possible for a cursed creature but she had proven him wrong and return had granted his wish. Boris' ears stood up in alert, his amber eyes engulphed her in a confused state. They searched familiarity and found it as they settled on her eyes. They were full of sadness. His own bearing sorrow yet happiness and relief ran through him like a lightening bolt. They widened at her structure from over his shoulder, then with a quick spin he got to his feet, mouth wide open in protest. There was so many questions, so much he wanted to say, too much that it jammed into another delay of silence. His jaws retracted back together a cute fang peaking out over his bottom lip and his eyes became slender again.

"Dice..." He greeted hestantly, still eying her. "Why?" He demanded. "Why did you leave me? Us all, without a word?" He wanted clarity from her heart.

"Heartland isn't the same anymore, they're all lost, some even followed you out here like me... I've been searching ever since."
He stated as he stepped closer to her, closing his eyes and brushing his muzzle by hers. Her scent, he could smell the sweet coconut aroma as it spilled into his nose. Her soft coat, her beautiful blue eyes enchanting him once more. The spell had been cast again and he was more caught then in the beginning.

He didn't understand! None of them did, they were so trapped by the game that they hadn't noticed her situation at all. They were all meant to love her, that was a fact from the start she had been explained to and knew what it involved but she was too caught up in the moment to break away from it. When his presence was near her once more, his breath upon her skin, her lips a pleasurable feeling stirred inside she could almost slip a moan from under her breath from how much it was missed. Her eyes met his piercing amber and her knees could have buckled.

"I tried." She cried. "I tried to tell you but you wouldn't listen! None of you did." She shook her head and had to break from their closeness, stepping back from the desirable touch. Longing for it back already. "All it made everyone do was fight. You hurt each other, tried to kill each other and in the end even if I was in the way, none of you would have stopped..."

She closed her eyes. She needed to fight the spontaneous tears wanting to self combust from her outburst. She was overwhelmed by all the mixed feelings. The stress returning every second they were together, every time their past was brought up. She knew it wasn't true though, Boris had always been thoughtful, he worshipped the ground she walked on and she had taught him the meaning of things he had always been unaware of. She battled another glance over at him, lips lightly trembling. "I'm sorry. I know that isn't true... I-" She paused, fear that she would break. It occured to her, the game was still playing. It wasn't going to let her go. That's why something was pulling them together and she knew no matter which member it was, it was only going to get worse especially if there was going to be more encounters.

There was no escaping.

"I'm the worse choice, that's why I was brought into your land. It knew I would never be able to make up my mind. Cursing you to forever be in a love-sick trance." She fell silent. "It's not real Boris, it never was..."

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Boris was hurt deeply by her words. His ears fell flat to his head, he grit his teeth and looked away from her, towards the side where he knew he would be safe. It was awkward and quiet, his clock-heart could even be heard between them. He looked back at her, the desperation he felt to have her wouldn't die. He had tried letting it a fair distraction by another mare and he had brought her to heartland like an idiot only realizing now what he had made her become apart of. That's why the members wanted to be around Madoka so much, that's why he was the last thing she probably thought of. What a curse to be shamed with.

"I do love you. I always have..." He sighed, ungritting his teeth as the throb in body pounded hard, like a hammer trying to smash what kept him in existence into pieces. "Why won't you accept that!?"

He couldn't take it. The others what was so special about them? Why couldn't she make up her mind!? He was so frustrated and down, he wanted to fall but he couldn't. Something grasped to the positives and just wouldn't let him give up.

"Trust me." He whispered, trying to near her once again and hoped the words she had said to him long ago was still remembered and drilled somewhere in her memories.

Again he crept forward and became close to her, tingles throwing her off guard. It was too late, the tears had broke her and they rolled down either sides of her face. Eyes shut tight and a frown collected on her lips. It was only the game, he just wanted to win. None of what he said could have been true. She was just a pawn... "How can you love someone who doesn't even know what that is, what it means and how to keep it in one place... Even yourself, you don't know what it is. You're too blind to see it." She protested even though she needed his comfort more than anything.

She pushed forwards into him, resting her head on his shoulder as she cried, burrying her face into his fluffy pink boa, her neck firmly against his and his hair brushing along the strands of her own. His chimes soothed her and she could relax from her distressed frame. "I'm afraid... What you say, what if it's all forced, all programmed just by this silly curse. That if it never even exististed you wouldn't have even taken a second look at me. I want it to be real, for it to be over. So I can move on. So you can all get on with your lives..." She sighed and rubbed close against him in his warmth surprised he remembered what was once just trivial chatter. "I do trust you I just don't trust myself."

Frozen at her touch; he could have stayed there for an eternity. For it to be a dream where happy endings were certain. Where had her confidence gone? The part of her that shone brightly like a star what could never be brought down. Now she was a wreck and he was left feeling sorry and guilty for something he couldn't understand. Maybe she was right, he didn't have a clue but what pulled him to her like a magnet could have only meant one thing, right? He did love her, she was just confused.

He arched his neck over her own gently in a comforting cuddle closing his eyes. He felt more at home than he ever had just by her side. He shook his head, enough that it wouldn't disturb her. "I would have always reacted the same, game or no game." He assured though that he wasn't quite sure of himself, he hoped he would, he wanted to believe he was right.

Pushing their mishap aside and just wanting to savour what he had right now, he spoke softly and broke away, to touch her nose with his and look her in her eyes. Her tears, he brushed away by licking her cheeks cutely and then suggested her an alternative. "Let me stay with you tonight?"

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Dice looked at him with quivering eyes but she couldn't help break a small, warm smile at his consistent effort. She let out a small, appreciative chuckle and blushed with a pink radiating glow nodding to his suggestion. "I would like that." She wanted to believe him about what he had said before but she didn't know how to, like everything she had been told had blanked in her mind like it did on the start of her journey but it could change and at least what comforted her could be debated whilst she enjoyed what she used to without having millions of voices calling her from every surrounding. There would be no arguments tonight, or wars there would just be him and her spending some time catching up and some quality time to adjust. Then tomorrow it would go back to how she was and he would go back to heartland.

If not, the kawani lands had something big heading it's way and there was no stopping or holding back what would become of it. The curse could even spread. She lipped at his lips in the form of a soquili kiss and let it last till she slid her way past him and headed a long side the river bank. Night was on it's way in a pretty aray of colours and a few guardian stars troubled by what they were overlooking.

"Lets find somewhere to hide away for the night." She offered, waiting for him to follow and to hold on to what was dear for one last night before everything flew out of hand all over again.

׺°”˜`”°º× ׺°”˜`”°º×

Boris got her drift as his expression became bright like it used to be in her daily presense, the sneaky nights he would break in to where she slept and everything they had shared together. He smiled a pearly grin, his tail wagging happily behind him like nothing in the world could bring him down from the clouds again, his ears were forwards and his eyes were huge with anticipation. What this night could have in store was only a mystery to him.

He was just lucky he had chose this path and had been granted another night alone with her. He trotted up to her side and nodded, looking at her the whole time till they reached their resting spot. He allowed her to go first and then he followed. The confusion would take over them again but for now, none of that mattered. He wished tomorrow in this land would never come but he knew that was too much to ask.

And you want to be dressed in poetry
But imagery doesn't fit

Complete!

And you want resizing
But darling dear get a grip

And I think what I just wrote is going over my head
I'm stealing lines from myself
And what I said was never said...
