"When I should be thinking about what I can't see at night..."

OC INFO:
Name: Gavin Fredrick Sonners-Wilson
Gender: Male
Age: 14
Height: 5'5"
Weight: Unknown, but extremely skinny.
Birthday: February 17th, 1996
Speices: Albino human
Hair color/length/style: White/slightly below his shoulders/pin straight all through the back, his bangs are uneven so one side somewhat covers his left eye.
Skin color: Ghost white. Very easily burnt by the sun as well.
Eye color: A piercing bright red in his RIGHT eye, his left eye is going blind so it's a much more pale red. His left eye is also quite foggy due to the blindness. He might also be dealing with horrible color blindness.
Post color: Red

CLOTHING:
Shirts: He always wears striped long sleeved hooded sweaters, even in the blistering heat due to his extremely sensitive skin. Most likely he'll be wearing his usual light gray and lime green hoody as it is his favorite because it has gray cat ears sewn to the top. The hood is almost always on his head. He may unzip it, although it is unlikely. If he does he'll be wearing either a black or red ripped up t-shirt underneath it.
Pants: Again, due to his ultra sensitive skin he wears long, usually gray baggy cargo pants with bright yellow stars sewn onto the fabric. He attaches several fuzzy cat keychains to the yellow belt loops on the pants. The two keychains he can't go anywhere without are the white and black spotted kitten and the brown and orange spotted kitten.
Shoes: He never seems to find the correct matching pair due to his left eye going blind. It isn't unusual for him to have an orange sneaker on one foot with a black sneaker on the other foot. He can't seem to see the difference between colors. He also has velcro never shoelaces because he can't tie them properly. But that doesn't stop him from removing and playing with shoelaces from ones that do.
Accessories: He somehow has managed to tie various colored shoeslaces from shoes around his wrists, ankles, and fingers. Most are red or green because of his color blindness, but some are black or even pink especially those on his fingers. He is also a cat lover. He has a gold chain that has a black cat pendant on it that he keeps on at all times, he never takes it off.

QUICK PERSONALITY:
Gavin over complains about something when it doesn't go right. He may look calm, cool and content but will flame up in anger quite quickly. Known to be extremely curious to the point of annoyance to the one being asked. He can go through bouts of horrible depression especially since his mother passed away a little over two months ago. Due to his quick flaming temper he doesn't have many friends and can't keep many of them either. He's known to also tire out very very easily.

SHORT PERSONALITY: Easliy angered. Easily depressed. Curious. Extremely annoying. Complains all the time. Gets tired and sick very easily.

HISTORY:
Gavin was born to a single working mother, Marissa Chloe Sonners, on February 17th, 1996. He was born prematurely and very sickly but managed to fight his way through his hardships and get out the hospital with a clean bill of health. Being born albino, he faced many more challenges throughout his childhood. From his easily burnt skin to the ridicule of other children in school he pushed forward through each trial with the help of his wonderfully supportive mother who was always at his side. Sadly, though, on May 28th of this year his mother was in a horrifying car accident which took her life on inpact. Gavin was at school at the time of the accident but once informed upon arriving home from school he had a mental break down. His mother being a single parent, Gavin really had no one to turn to and nowhere to go...That is until his MIA father, Corbin Wilson, stepped up from out of nowhere and took Gavin into his home. Corbin had known about his son the entire time which made Gavin wonder why he was suddenly taking him in after not being in his life for fourteen years. His father had already married another woman named Phoebe and had 10 year old triplets, Lori, Willow and Jack. They were perfectly nice, he had admitted early on, but still...Why now?

Gavin's dream
(Note: The dream doesn't begin until you see things in ITALICS anything before that is while he's awake.)

"Gavin come back here right now and tell Phoebe you're sorry!" Corbin yelled down the hall after Gavin after he had smashed his dinner plate infront of his step mother in a violent rage before cursing at her and running off to his room.

"NO! I WILL NEVER APOLOGIZE!" Gavin screeched back at his father before slamming his door and locking it as he slumped to the floor with a loud anguished cry. Huddling his knees to his chest with his head resting on top of them he began sobbing with brief pauses for breathing and to cry out words that sounded similar to "why mom?" or "where are you mom?" He sat there crying for a good five minutes before rising weakly to his feet and drying his eyes with his hand. His right eye glanced around his room only blinking a few times to relieve his sight of some left over tears that were coming down and it focused on his bed where a purple leather book lay upon the gray blanket that covered his bed. Arching an eyebrow he walked towards it to find a short note stuck to the cover of the book. He removed the sticky note from the book and brought it as close as he could to his right eye so he could attempt to read it.

"Hey bro, found this book in the mail for 'ya. It didn't have a return address or a name to say who it was from but I brought it in anyway. Maybe you could use it as a journal or something? You were talking about needing something to use for writing earlier today, maybe this is some good luck coming to 'ya? I hope so, you've been really down lately and I hate seeing my big brother so unhappy. Give writing a shot and it might make you feel better.
See you at dinner,
Jack."

Oh, it was just Jack bringing him his mail. Eh, the kid was alright for a ten year old. He seemed really happy when he had moved in. Must've been because he had two sisters to deal with twenty four seven. But Lori and Willow weren't that bad either...Hmm. Well, at least the kid was nice. His attention then turned to the book laying on his bed. He couldn't help but wonder who would send him a book but not tell him who they were. Hmm, whoever they were they sure knew how to make him feel at least a little better about his current situation. He had been through hell and back since his mother died two months ago. Not only did she die but a guy he had never even knew existed pops in out of nowhere and takes him in because he's his biological father. But even that seems minor because the guy already had a wife and three kids four years younger than he was! But where was this guy his short life of fourteen years when he and his mother needed him to be there? It didn't make sense when it happened and it still didn't make sense now. It was all so strange. But now he had something to write in, something to tell all his thoughts and feelings to that would never yell, rant or question him about what he had to say. He grabbed a pen off his desk as he sat down on his bed and soon enough he began to write.

The room was painted the color of the sun with little spalshes of rose and periwinkle blue. It was such a lovely room that I thought it was meant for a queen. My spirit felt light as a feather when I walked inside taking it all in with a smile. There was music in the air that caused me to twirl and prance in a joyful dance to the violins and flutes that were playing. It was a simple song but also quite elegantly written that made my heart want to sing. Then from nowhere came a familiar voice so tender and sweet that caused my feet to pause. I listened carefully with my heart pounding hard as the voice drifted through the room. Could it be? Was it her? Or was I mistaken? I simply had to find out.

I dashed out from the room like a cheetah after its prey and left the room behind me to follow the voice that was calling to me so gently. Oh it must be her! It has to be her! My feet couldn't seem to go fast enough as her voice was drifting further and further away. At first it was loud and clear but the faster I ran towards the sound the more it seemed to lessen in its wonderful volume. Oh please don't go! I need you so! Don't hide from me, please! I need you now more than ever! But to my dismay I had reached the end of the hallway and turned right around to face a series of doors. I could no longer hear the voice I had heard before but there was still a voice calling to me. It wasn't an elder voice as I listened in to it but instead it was that of a small child.

This child wasn't singing, giggling or calling to play...This child was calling to me in a desperate need for help. Eyes widening and pulse quickining my legs went off yet again to open every door in the hall I had passed through. To think of how many doors I had opened would be like counting to infinity and back again, but still I pressed on as the voice grew and grew until I was sure I was back where I started at the lovley room I had danced in minutes ago. I may have been right as I remembered the way back with ease but the room I had been in was no more...

The colors I had been graced with seeing earlier seemed to have been erased and replaced with the colors black, red and gray in the form of splatters and ugly mismatched sewn patterns upon the walls and floors. The music had stopped playing all together and dim silence had plauged the room. I stared quite sadly at the mess of a room with tears forming in my eyes. What happened to this room? It was so beautiful and lively just minutes before...What could've caused such a dramamtic change? Then I was awakened from my thoughts by the soft sound of a sobbing child and gazed to the corner of the room.

There, huddled up against a wall was what looked to be a six year old girl wearing a mismatched patched up dress with poorly sewn cat details on the little pockets on the front. Her hair, gray in color, was haggard, messy and knotted to the point that seemed there would be no return. Her eyes, although full of tears, were a pale yellow that glowed on her light brown skin. I walked slowly over to the poor child but upon doing so she raised her head and her eyes glanced around hectically.

"Who-Who's there?" She uttered in surprise as my hand touched hers. I noticed soon after that she had small black cat ears and a long sleek black tail poking out from behind the dress. This little girl was rather strange but she needed help and that was what she was going to get.

"My name is Gavin," I began softly as to not frighten the child. "I heard you crying for help. What is your name?"

Finally her eyes gazed over to my face and a small, nervous smile crossed her features.
"My name is Hannah, sir." She said, then wrapping her arms around me. "Thank you for coming to get me. I'm almost completely blind so I can't see but when I heard someone running around in here I had to call out because I'm all alone and scared..." She sniffled as another few tears fell from her eyes.

I blinked twice. Blind? Well, she's almost like me I thought to myself. Poor girl...In here all alone with no one to take care of her. She's so small too, children of that age shouldn't be left by themselves especailly if they're blind. I held her close to me in a protective hug of sorts.
"Don't worry Hannah...I'll protect you..."

Then it faded to black suddenly, as if it was just a complete fantasy. I felt myself being sucked away to another place...A different world.

A new world.

At the last stroke of his pen Gavin's limp body fell on his bed in a heap with the book not to far beside him. He appeared to be simply asleep, but it was too deep of a sleep for him. Were the last few lines of his dream just a fantasy as he had written?

Or was it real?~
