Before you worry: No, she's not dead. I would never use caps lock for someone's death. Not since Billy Mays died, anyway.
She is, however, currently having a few health issues; she was officially diagnosed with anxiety disorder this morning and has been advised to take it easy. She asked me to pass the message along because she's trying to avoid too much work at the moment and so she's not sure how long it'll be before she starts doing guild work again.
Suffice it to say that she may be gone for a little bit - I don't know exactly how long, but she mentioned that she's going to try to keep from as many stressors as she can for now. I know this might be a little vague, but I'll give updates as I get them.
(btw Lorika if you come back and I totally botched this message SORRY I SUCK.)

What's anxiety disorder?
And it's pretty amazing that you've only been here a short while but you get to pass on an important message, Doc XDD
Hope she gets better soon (even though one of the stressors is probably me... I need to learn how to communicate properly...)

We'd known each other for about a year before I came to Gaia and she has my phone number =p She texted me this morning when she found out the diagnosis and asked me to do her this favor. Anxiety disorder is a big ol' umbrella term which I could never hope to summarize. It's mainly a psychological thing rather than a real physical thing - your body just flips out during stress... I think.

I've delt with this before...have sent myself to the emergency room several times because of anxiety causeing my body to flip out.
Had to learn to meditate and do yoga to help lower my stress levels. That and realize that I didn't have to care what others thought about me lol!
I hope Lori takes care of herself and gets feeling better.

This is exactly why I keep saying she shouldn't feel obliged to do so much work for us; she's going to break herself. It's good to know she's decided to get some rest.

I agree. Overwork and overstress ==> self-destruction
I'll be hoping/praying for her relaxing/restful recovery.

My mom has -an?- anxiety disorder as well...not pretty on a bad day
Try reading some books about Zen or something similar. I found one that has a few basic tricks that are good for relaxing

Bapp, I don't know about you, but when I'm freaking out the last thing I want is somebody near by going, "Breathe in, Breathe out."

UPDATE. So, now they're saying Lorika DOES have something physical... just a virus that's been hanging on for a long time. She's not going out of her mind but she may be unwell for months. That's all I've got for now!

My god I have had the weirdest few days evar.
I KNEW I wasn't going TOTALLY out of my mind! I HAVE got something like a virus or possibly glandular fever - won't know for certain until the blood test results come back in the morning. However, anxiety and stress have also played a huge part and, as you may know, glandular fever is a stress-related illness with no treatment except rest. Whether it is or isn't, it may take months to clear up. D;
I feel like total s**t atm, but I couldn't keep away because visions of the guild rolling down the pan without my interference were dancing in front of my eyes and making me even more anxious! Now that I've checked in, I think I'm going to have to keep away and not do any work, because tbh I feel very ill just sitting up here typing this...
I feel like I want things to go back to normal, but right now my body seems to be denying me that x____x Now that I've had a look in I think I'll have to head off again. I'll keep checking in periodically I suppose. See you soon, everyone, and thank you again for your support =)
Also, my nan cracked her wrist at the beach yesterday.
Like I said... weird, weird few days.

No, don't worry about the Guild. The absolute worst that could happen is that we all disperse for a while until you get better...and a Guild Announcement on the lines of 'I'm back now!' should fix that right up
so really, don't worry about the guild, it can take care of itself.
Bapp...where'd you put your Chinese explosives?... twisted
...nah, I'm just messing with you. Go get better, we'll hold down the fort (and deny you access) until you do

Mabo's right; we can handle things here while you recuperate. You focus on getting better, and we'll see you when you're back on your feet.

@Rocket: If you tell yourself that and control your breathing on your own it's actually pretty relaxing biggrin @Mab: I SAID WE CHINESE DON'T HAVE WEIRD EXPLOSIVES! GO FIND KOREA FOR THAT OR SOMETHING! @Lorika: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mACqcZZwG0k biggrin And if you're still really worried, you can ask the Doc to check stuff out in your place. If you want us to help out in any way, you can ask. We're like a big gaian family here... I think?
